FEM 2025 Conference is sold out and the registration is closed (21 August 2025).
Cancellations are very rare at the FEM conference. We already have several persons on our waiting list. The event venue has a maximum number of participants according to authorities’ fire and rescue plan, and we cannot exceed it. We wish we could take more participants, but for security reasons this is not possible. As a result, we kindly request that those not registered refrain from arriving at the venue, as on-the-spot registrations will not be available. Please send any inquiries by email. As FEM 2025 is not a fair (FEM ei ole messut!), entrance to the conference and trade show is open only for registered participants wearing the event name badge. Your badge is personal. The entrance control will be tightened in for safety reasons.
All Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining (FEM 2025) participants, presenters and exhibitors must register for the conference in advance and pay the registration fee. Registration for the conference opened on 24 February 2025 and was closed on 21 August 2025.
Please note that the FEM conference does not send customer messages via the WhatsApp application.
* Participant fee (participant, invited speaker, exhibitor, students) includes programme, trade show, lunches on Wednesday and Thursday, refreshments during breaks and the Ice-breaker Party on Tuesday 28 October 2025. The Fennoscandian Mining Night has a separate price/person. Fees include VAT 25,5 %.

** Student registration fee is applied to full-time undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. Please provide proof of a full-time student status (ID card or letter from your institution or program director). NB! If you register as student with lower registration fee, your job title should be student and organization the school in which you are studying.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance and as early as possible in order to benefit from lower registration fees as well as cheaper flight costs.
Please choose your payment type on the online registration form. The options are
- Online bank transfer (Finnish banks)
- Online credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, EuroCard, Amex)
- Invoice. The invoice will be sent to you separately by the conference office. Please remember to specify a possible separate invoicing address on the registration form. Invoicing fee 10 € will be added to all invoices.
Cancellation terms
Cancellations must be made in writing to Rovaniemi-Lapland Congresses (congress@ulapland.fi). Registration fee will be refunded if cancellation is received before 1 September 2025. No refunds will be made after this date. Please note that a processing fee of 60 € will be deducted from all refunds.
