Face In the Mirror

When we imagine that we are alone,
when we think that nobody is looking,
our face falls into its natural shape,
and at that moment, everybody
knows who we really are.

We can’t hide it, it is plain to see.
Everyone is watching, everybody knows.

We’re all illusionists, but the biggest illusion
is the belief that we are ever alone, isolated
from each other by veils of space and time.

Some tribes worship their ancestors,
but we are our own ancestors, we are
our own descendants, watching every move.

When we finally begin to see through the charade
of division that keeps the world in conflict,
we realize that we have known all along.

Omniscience is not some super power,
it is merely a matter of recognizing
everyone is our mirror, there is
only one of us here.
