A Message from the Pastor

What a great time it is to be the church. At a time when the world around us is constantly changing, the church continues to be relevant and is needed now more than ever.

Our congregation, known as “The Family of Faith”, gathers members from a wide geographic area, with diverse backgrounds and is intentional about our servant community of Jesus Christ. Whether feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, caring for AIDS patients, or advocating for the poor, the Family constantly seeks ways to share the love of God that fills our worship and our lives. As we celebrate all that is ours, we rejoice, give thanks and praise God.

Share the message. Share the hope. Share the faith.

Pastor Jane McCready

People are hungry. You can help.

Feeling as if you want to do something amidst the uncertainty, but not sure what?  Feed the hungry.

Please help us feed our neighbors.  Faith Lutheran is collecting food donations for our friends at St. Stephan’s Grace in Newark.  Located in the historic Ironbound, St. Stephan’s Grace Community worships in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.  Donations can be brought to the church during office hours and outside of office hours donations can be left in the container outside the entrance to the office and education building.

St. Stephan’s Grace church is dedicated to its members, to the Ironbound community in Newark, to immigrant advocacy, and health care programs in the city.  The community is led by Pastor Moacir Weirich.  Pastor Moacir has served the parish since 1997 when he and his wife were called as missionaries from Brazil and sent to New Jersey.

For more than two decades Faith has provided annual financial support, as well as backpacks, Christmas gifts, handmade knitted items, mentoring, and tutoring. We give thanks for this special partnership and pray for the health and safety of all of God’s beloved children.
