Fagron South Africa is a proud founding member of ACPSA, the Association of Compounding Pharmacists of South Africa. ACPSA was formed in 2013 to promote, preserve and advocate for the historical art of compounding, consistent with professional standards of practice.
Fagron Facilities
Fagron Compounding Pharmacies, located in Johannesburg and Cape Town, are registered with The South African Pharmacy Council and the National Department of Health. We adhere to guidance provided by the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 1965 (Act No. 101 of 1965), Good Pharmacy Practice and the Pharmacy Act.
We perform aseptic compounding in ISO Class 5 laminar flow hoods, located inside ISO Class 6 cleanrooms that are supplied with High Efficiency Particulate (HEPA) filtered air.
Our cleanrooms, laminar airflow chambers and powder containment hoods are certified by independent agents for operational efficiency. Environmental testing is performed regularly, and results are compared with strict standard operating procedures.
Both of our facilities have A-grade ratings from the South African Pharmacy Council for maintaining high standards of Good Pharmacy Practice.
