I’m the driving force of the operation. An adventurer at heart I will always find a way. From co-ordinating large events with thousands of participants to leading expeditions in far off places, I’m always up for a challenge.
Although I’m the director of Expat Adventure Travel, you’ll be talking directly to me when you plan your trip. I love to take on the role of expedition leader or guide whenever I can.

The expat experience
As an expat in Mongolia, I was fed up with the limited options for interesting tours. Hustai? Been there, done that. Terelj? Same. Horse riding? That’s so 2000. I want to provide something that will liven-up your time in Mongolia, making it full of memorable moments.
That’s why I’m the tour writer, experience planner and ideas girl. I won’t allow a stale, boring or done before itinerary pass through my hands. You’ll only get fresh and unique experiences, designed just for you.
I don’t have much to do with the every-day operations, but give me the chance, and I’ll be leading you into the fun and unknown as your host or water sports expert.

It’s a family thing
Our History
For more than a decade, Anna and Bold have been at the heart of Mongolia’s tourism community, welcoming travellers from all over the world. Bold first honed his skills in the hotel industry, rising from front-of-house roles to senior management with international chains. Anna, with a Master’s in sustainability, moved permanently to Mongolia to work with NGOs before becoming Country Director for a reputable British tour company.
In 2016, Bold founded Expat Adventure to bring a new level of professionalism and reliability to Mongolia’s travel scene. The goal was to tackle the poor service and communication that too often frustrated expats and visitors alike. Later that year, he and Anna married, and their shared passions and expertise merged into a truly family-run venture.
What began as unique adventure activities and short tours for the expat community quickly grew into something bigger. Word spread, demand increased, and so did their vision. Today, Expat Adventure offers all travellers to Mongolia the same tailor-made cultural journeys, expedition planning, and adventure experiences that first won the trust of Ulaanbaatar’s discerning expats. With Anna and Bold at the helm, every trip is personal, professional, and unforgettable.
