But please don't be intimidated by the length of this letter, and please don't think that these prompts mean that I won't appreciate and enjoy other ideas and stories. Can you believe that this has been on my hard drive since February..? Er, well, since you've betaed for me before you probably can ;) The basic idea for this story has been nesting at the back of my mind every since that first time you played me the song, but since then I also went to a Lucinda Williams concert and heard her play the lovely Right in Time, and Skuf showed us that wonderful Stand By Me vid - so by now I guess this really qualifies as a multi-fandom fic. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it <3

This is the first chapter of a companion piece to a story I wrote back in February called The Love Songs of Blaine Anderson. This one's about Kurt's five first crushes, and then, finally, his first love. There is going to be quite a bit of heartbreak and bullying along the way.
