Career opportunities
We are always on the look out for new talent. If you are interested in joining our team, have a look at the open positions below.
How we are governed
Edinburgh World Heritage is a charity and company limited by guarantee. We have a two-tier governance structure comprising a Board of Trustees and a body of Company Members.
Board of Trustees
We are governed by fourteen Elected Directors, called Trustees. This includes up to two Councillors elected to serve in the City of Edinburgh Council.
Trustees ensure that as an organisation we are effective in working towards achieving our vision, using our resources to maximum effect and upholding our values. The Board of Trustees meets four times a year. You can read the minutes of these meetings here.
Company Members
Company Members are composed of current and former Trustees, and representatives of unincorporated and residents associations. A list of associations represented in our Company Membership can be found here.
There are certain decisions that can only be approved by the company members, such as amending the Articles of Association, changing the name of the charity and voting on the appointment of the Elected Directors. They meet once a year at the Annual General Meeting.
Director
The Director oversees the day-to-day running of the charity, and reports into the Board of Trustees.
