Virat Kohli guides RCB to back-to-back IPL titles

Virat Kohli delivered on the biggest night as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets to win the IPL 2026 title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Chasing 156, Kohli struck an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls as RCB reached 161 for 5 in 18 overs. The win gave RCB their second straight IPL title after their maiden triumph in 2025.

Kohli hit nine fours and three sixes in a composed chase. He also sealed the final with a six, giving RCB victory with 12 balls to spare.

RCB’s chase started strongly through Kohli and Venkatesh Iyer. The pair added 62 for the opening wicket before Iyer fell for 32 off 16 balls. Gujarat tried to fight back through Rashid Khan, who removed Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya in the same over.

Puja Mahato's half-century and Riya Sharma's sharp bowling helped Nepal defeat China Women by 19 runs in the Asian Games Women's T20I Qualifier at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. Nepal, who won the toss and chose to bat first, posted 125 for 5 in 20 overs. Puja Mahato anchored the innings with 63 runs off 57 balls, hitting six fours. Nepal lost Samjhana Khadka early, but Puja added 37 runs with Sony Pakhrin for the second wicket. Sony made 18 off 24 balls before she was stumpped offf Wang Huiying. Rubi Poddar then supported Puja with an unbeaten 22 off 25 balls. Rubina Chhetry finished the innings with a four from the final delivery.

Ishan Pandey, Dipendra Airee power Nepal to record Kirtipur total in big win over USA

Ishan Pandey's composed 84 and Dipendra Singh Airee's rapid 59 powered Nepal to a 122-run win over USA in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, on Friday. Asked to bat first, Nepal posted 317/8 in 50 overs. It was Nepal's highest ODI total at Kirtipur and only four runs short of the venue's overall ODI record. USA were bowled out for 195 in 41.2 overs while chasing 318. The win helped Nepal finish the home series with three victories from four matches. Nepal made a strong start through Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh. The pair added 62 runs in the first 10 overs before Kushal was dismissed for 29 off 39 balls. Aasif made 43 off 57 balls with six fours.
