About the European
Liver Screening Tour
What is the ELPA
Screening Tour?
The ELPA European Liver Screening Tour is a pan-European initiative bringing free, non-invasive liver screening directly to communities across Europe.
At each location, the tour offers both a screening point and an informative space, where people can learn more about liver health, risk factors, and prevention.
The initiative aims to raise awareness, promote early detection, and demonstrate that simple, accessible testing can play a key role in preventing serious disease.
Through this approach, ELPA highlights that liver disease is often silent but detectable, and that liver health is a public health priority requiring early action, better awareness, and more integrated approaches to care.
Europe has the largest burden of liver disease in the world.
Kicking off during Liver Day 2026, the tour travels through European cities, engaging communities in dialogue about liver health.
