Events gallery app is an advertisement application where the user is able to know ‘what where and when ‘with regard to all events and happenings.
It cuts across all categories of events including: entertainment, academics, business, conferences, exhibitions, politics, religion, family and kids, health and sports.
Through the app the event organizer can post all event information and can be sure of reaching everyone through this app with an instant notification the moment a new event is posted.
This will show the type of event, where it will be, what time it will take place, the cost of attendance and a brief description about the event.
The beauty of the app is that one can scroll through the whole list of events for the day, for the month and the whole year.
There is a possibility for the user to comment, like and share the event, the app also advertises and markets venues/places and locations making it easy for event attendants to locate their destinations.
The app has recently been upgraded to handle scientific political campaigns.
Through this addition candidates can reach out to voters with their posters, manifestos, biographies and any other related information without meeting them physically.
This new edition is designed specifically to take care of scientific campaigns as guided by the Electoral Commission of Uganda.
Candidates need to campaign and voters need to know about their candidates and yet the gatherings /rallies are limited.
From the comfort of their seats the voter can know all the contesting candidates for all electoral positions in all constituencies for all the districts across the country.
This is the first of its kind not only in Uganda or Africa but across the globe.
With the Events Gallery app candidates can also upload their profiles, manifestos and campaign information.
On the other hand, the voters/supporters have a chance of scrutinizing their candidates one by one at their leisure in the palm of their hands without being coerced or bribed because there is no need for physical contact, In addition to being able to leave comments for their candidates with the “like” and “dislike” option too
Through this app, candidates and electorate can share campaign events on WhatsApp, Facebook, email and SMS among others.
Above all this app can provide a very authentic opinion poll as candidates for a particular position/ post are arranged in descending order of likes.
