About the team
Hey there! I’m Lesley, and together with my technical co-founder Ahmed, we built EventKoi.
We spent half a decade bringing a thoughtful, blocks-first approach to email with Newsletter Glue.
Our previous plugin was a crowd favourite plugin highly reviewed by many WordPress news sites including WP Tavern, used by top news publications including Baltimore Banner, Pew Research and WBUR (Boston’s NPR), and adheres to WP VIP enterprise coding standards.
We want to bring that expertise to events and calendars.
About the plugin
Our goal for EventKoi is to bring a modern take on events plugins in WordPress. We noticed that most of the top events plugins were built in the early 2010s, when the block editor didn’t exist and Skype was the main way to call people online!
A lot of things have changed since then, and we wanted to reimagine what an events plugin would be like if it was built for today’s WordPress.
We hope to bring you best-in-class event settings, blocks and templates. While making everything as intuitive and flexible as possible.
