These two devices don't appear to be working together. Or at least, there is no information to certify that the devices are compatible one with each other. The easiest way to check is through the cash register. You need to use its menu to see if it detects the software through the RS232 USB adapter. I would advise installing the drivers if there are available for this procedure. If you acquired the adapter, a manual and a CD should also be available.
