SotP - October/November

State of Me:
I'm feeling a little bit...disconnected at the moment. I've got a lot of threads, and they're awesome, but they're mostly private. At some point, I think I consciously stopped making reqs so that I couldn't app and I had a really rough summer where my creativity was concerned and I don't think I ever really managed to get myself on track. So my aim for the winter is to reestablish the characters I'm playing, get back into the game with the ones I'm neglecting and then, maybe, I can think about apping again some time in the Spring.

Beca Mitchell | Pitch Perfect | pitchslapped
Is definitely a pup that I've been falling down on. I LOVE her, but at some point, I lost touch with her and I just need to get my head around her again. Her last post was August 3rd and I haven't played her at all since then, so she's definitely overdue. I'm going to EP her out and about with Ripley this month and try and get back into playing her. Pitch Perfect was on TV last night so I recorded it and will be rewatching. Tags from friends would be VERY appreciated when she does go up :D

Newt | The Maze Runner | thebloodyglue
Newt is safely in the 'doing fine' half of my roster. I was, at one point, not sure on him, but then The Fever Code came back and he was very loud, very present, and I haven't been having any problems at all with him. He was briefly a girl, and now I've canon updated him so Newt remembers some very key things about his past which are BIG spoilers for the Fever Code. But he remembers and, as someone who's always been characterised by everything they didn't know, that's a big, big deal. He's quite content living with his boys but I do always mean to get him more friends in the wider community, beyond Thomas and Yona and the few people he does like hanging around with. So if anyone wants a thread with him, hit me up!

Kaz Brekker | Six of Crows | everymonstrousthing
The last time I wrote one of these, I was having a LOT of issues with Kaz. I'm pleased to report that that's over with. Things were a bit touch and go with him for a while after Kat dropped Inej but I held out for Crooked Kingdom and that is not a decision that I regret. While I do have some issues with that novel, it made me feel SO much better about how I've played Kaz and how he's developed since he arrived in Darrow. Inej being gone was dark but now he's fallen into a thing with Jesper, which also makes perfect sense in my head, and that's been fascinating so far to play out. Neither of them realise how much trouble they're in. Next EP will probably be the grand opening of the Crow Club 2.0.

Adaline Bowman | The Age of Adaline | juststopped
I feel like I am not currently doing Adaline justice. Ellis arrived right when I was in the middle of my depressive period and I just...haven't done much with her for a couple of months. Last use of her tag was August. I am ready to sort myself out, though. I am finally going to get her that dog! EP soon.

Jack Vincent | Night Owls | rockabillyboy
No issues at all. He got to be a girl for a while, he got his car, he's moved in with his boyfriend, he's got an 'arrangement' with Kavinsky. It's all going swimmingly. I love playing him off Poison, off Kavinsky. I do need to get him out more in the wider game; it's so easy to fall into just playing with the characters he's most comfortable with, but I do need to get him out more. It's been a while since his last act of wanton vandalism.

The Girl/Sunshine | The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys | madesomenoise
So we're in the process of playing out Girl's item powers which means that her powers, such as they are, will be live in Darrow soon. Basically, she's a human battery charger, very sensitive to electrical current. She can't control it, exactly. It is what it is. She's a conduit, more than anything. She's a detonator. Things are pretty serious with Carson, which is lovely. No issues here, either.



NO FUTURE because this is the perfect number of pups. For now.
