Reviving to create the new “main in main” in the heart of downtown Milwaukee

Built in the 1960s and located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, the Chase Tower, formerly known as the old “main and main,” has been acquired by new ownership. The 22-story office building, which had not been remodeled since the 1980s, underwent a transformation to achieve a timeless international design. EUA has been tasked with reviving the building into refined office spaces with modern tenant amenities, breathing new life full of activity and light, and creating a new “main and main” destination.

The renovation includes a complete overhaul of the first-floor lobby, the addition of a tenant lounge, a conference room, a fitness center, and a public parking garage with wayfinding and graphics. The design aims to increase transparency between the building and its surroundings, reactivating the river walk to inspire connectivity. Public spaces, including the entrance and skywalk, will also be enhanced to create a welcoming environment.
