Charles Vandervaart is a Canadian actor. He has starred on the shows The Stanley Dynamic, Outlander, Lost in Space, Holly Hobbie, and October Faction, and in the films Every Day (2018) and The Craft: Legacy.

Charles’s maternal grandfather was Charles Edwin “Chuck” Meek (the son of Charles Murray Meek and Edwinna Joyce Currey). Charles’s great-grandfather Charles was born in Caledon, Peel, Ontario, the son of Robert Henry “Harry” Meek, whose paternal grandparents were from Armagh, Ireland; and of Lillian “Lillie” McBride, whose grandparents were also Irish, with roots at least in Armagh and Kilkenny. Charles’s great-grandmother Edwinna was born in Newmarket, Ontario, the daughter of John William Currey, whose parents were Irish, with at least partial roots in Fermanagh; and of Sarah Ursula Hamen/Hamer, whose father was from Aberhafesp, Montgomeryshire, Wales, and whose maternal grandparents were also Welsh, with at least partial roots in Llandissilio, Pembrokeshire.

Charles’s maternal grandmother was Joan McConkey (the daughter of Robert Daniel McConkey and Elenore/Lenora Helen Elizabeth Eade). Robert was born in Simcoe, Ontario. His father, Robert James McConkey, had a father from Moneymore, County, Londonderry, Ireland, and Scottish maternal grandparents, from Glensaul, Knapdale, and Beith, Ayrshire, respectively. Robert’s mother, Charles’s great-great-grandmother, Jane Ness Dickey, had mother from Glasgow, Scotland. Charles’s great-grandmother Elenore was born in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Christopher Eade, who was from Dartford, Kent, England; and of Ella Muriel/Murial Hattey/Hatty, whose father was from Windsor, Berkshire, England, and whose maternal grandparents were also English, with roots in Wetwang and Kilham, respectively, both in Yorkshire.
