Scott Adams was an American author and cartoonist. He was the creator and writer of comic strip Dilbert.
He was the son of Virginia and Paul Adams. He had said that he had some degree of Native American ancestry. A 23andMe DNA test he took found no Native American genetic markers.
Scott’s paternal grandfather was Clyde Raymond Adams (the son of George Willard Adams and Louise F. Parks). Clyde was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. George was the son of Henry Adams and Eva S. Pettee. Louise was the daughter of William Parks and Jane Gilmore/Gilman, who were born in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. Jane’s parents were Irish or Scottish.
