Date of Birth: 19 May, 1972

Rohan Marley is a Jamaican-born American entrepreneur and professional football player.
He was born in Kingston, Jamaica. His father was Jamaican singer and songwriter Bob Marley. According to the book Bob Marley: A Biography, 2007, by David Vlado Moskowitz, Rohan’s mother was a dancer named Janet Hunt (or possibly Dunn). Rohan was raised by Bob and his wife, Rita (born Alpharita Constantia Anderson), from the age of four. Rohan is a half-brother of reggae singers/musicians Sharon Marley, Cedella Marley, Ziggy Marley, Stephen Marley, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and Damian Marley. He is the half-uncle of filmmaker, activist, and actress Donisha Prendergast, and musicians Bambaata Marley, Jo Mersa Marley, and Skip Marley.
Rohan is married to Brazilian model and singer Barbara Fialho. He has two children, including professional football player Nico Marley, with his former wife Geraldine Khawly; five children, including model and singer Selah Marley and singer and songwriter YG Marley, with his former partner, singer, songwriter, rapper, actress, and record producer Lauryn Hill; and a daughter with Barbara. His daughter with Geraldine, Eden, is married to American professional football player Olivier Vernon.
Rohan’s paternal grandfather was Norval Sinclair Marley (the son of Albert Thomas “Robert” Marley and Ellen Ann Bloomfield). Norval was born in Clarendon, Jamaica, and had English, and a small amount of African, ancestry. Albert was born in South Weald, Brentwood, Essex, England, the son of Frederick Marley and Hannah Jane Tiltman. Rohan’s great-grandmother Ellen was born in Jamaica, the daughter of Richard Bloomfield and Ann Elizabeth Alexander, who was of part African descent.
Rohan’s paternal grandmother was Cedella Editha Malcolm (the daughter of Omeriah/Amariah Malcolm and Alberta/Albertha Melida Willoughby/Whilby). Cedella was a black Jamaican, born in Rhoden Hall, St. Ann. Omeriah was born in St. Ann, the son of Robert Malcolm and Katherine Bygrave. Rohan’s great-grandmother Alberta was born in St. Ann, the daughter of David/Daniel Whilby/Willoughby and Hannah/Anna Downs.
There are claims on the internet that Bob Marley had some kind of Jewish ancestry, sometimes cited as Syrian Jewish, through his father, or, sometimes, his mother. There is no documented evidence that Bob had Jewish ancestry. The Bloomfield family line from which Bob descended, a famous family in Jamaica, is sometimes cited as having been originally Jewish; this is almost certainly false.
