Robin Wright is an American actress and director. Her roles include the films The Princess Bride, Forrest Gump, Message in a Bottle, Unbreakable, The Conspirator, Moneyball, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), Everest, Wonder Woman, Blade Runner 2049, and Land, and the shows House of Cards and The Girlfriend.

Robin is the daughter of Gayle (Gaston) and Freddie Wright. She was raised in San Diego, California. Robin is married to Saint Laurent executive Clément Giraudet. She was previously married to actor Sean Penn, and at that time, was credited in films as Robin Wright Penn. The couple has two children, model Dylan Penn and actor Hopper Penn. Her nephew is actor and model Charlie Wright.

Robin’s paternal grandfather was Abner Green Wright (the son of Isaac William Wright and Ethel Rose Massey). Abner was born in Cisco, Eastland County, Texas.
