Mike’s paternal grandfather was Henry John Francisco (the son of Joseph Henry Francisco and Anna Marie Hynes). Mike’s grandfather Henry was born in Pennsylvania, and had switched his name to John Francisco Henry by the 1950 U.S. Census. Joseph was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Henry J. Francisco, Sr. and Mary M. Cull, whose parents were Irish. Mike’s great-grandmother Anna was born in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Irish immigrants, John Hynes and Anna Davitt.

Mike’s paternal grandmother was Anna Martha Backstrom (the daughter of Karl August Bäckström and Anna Josefina Strålberg). Anna was born in Pennsylvania, to Swedish parents. Karl was the son of Per August Bäckström and Maria Matilda Arm. Anna was the daughter of Johan Strålberg and Maria Josefina Johansdotter.

Mike’s maternal grandfather was Robert Joseph Sullivan (the son of Humphrey J. Sullivan and Frances H. “Frankie” Handlin). Robert was born in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York.
