Lily Rabe is an American actress. She is the daughter of actress Jill Clayburgh and playwright and screenwriter David Rabe. She is the sister of Michael Rabe, an actor and playwright, and a half-sister of Jason Rabe, a musician. Lily has three children with her partner, actor Hamish Linklater.

Lily’s paternal grandfather was William Louis Rabe III (the son of William Louis Rabe and Ida L. Welch). Lily’s grandfather William was born in Illinois. Lily’s great-grandfather William was the son of William Louis Rabe and Emma Clay Temple. Ida was the daughter of Edward O. Welch and Helen M. Logan.

Julia was born in Washington, and had English, distant Welsh, and remote Dutch, ancestry. Bryan was the son of Russell Ripley Dorr and Sarah Louise Bryan. Edna was the daughter of Phineas Mintern/Minturn Smith and Ella Evelyn/Eveline Phillips, whose father was English, from Arlington, Gloucester.
