Deni Avdija is an Israeli professional basketball player. A small forward, he plays for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was previously with Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League, and the Washington Wizards. He is 6′8″.

Deni is the son of Sharon Artzi, a track and field athlete, and basketball player, and Zufer Avdija, a professional basketball player and coach.

His father was born in Priština, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia, and is of ethnic Gorani-Muslim descent, from Gora in southern Kosovo. A power forward, his father played for, and captained, KK Crvena zvezda in Serbia, and was a member of the Yugoslavia national team; he later moved to the Israeli Premier League. Deni’s mother is an Israeli Jew, from kibbutz Beit Zera. Deni practices Judaism. He has dual citizenship in Israel and Serbia.
