Allison Tolman is an American actress. She is known for her roles on the series Fargo and in the film Krampus.

Allison is the daughter of Valerie and Davis Nichols Tolman. Her father was of English, and some Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, Scottish, and German, ancestry. It appears that her mother was born in Ireland. Allison was raised partly in England, and later Oklahoma and West Texas, ultimately settling in Sugar Land, Texas.

Allison’s paternal grandfather was Charles Herrick Tolman (the son of Albert Walter Tolman and Helen Louise Nichols). Charles was born in New York. Albert was the son of Albert Walter Tolman and Mary Gertrude Merrill. Helen was the daughter of Charles Joseph Nichols and Louise Alberta Vail.

Allison’s great-grandmother Marie was the daughter of Frank Mitchell and Bertha M. Hills, and had deep American roots.

Allison’s maternal grandmother was Gloria Tomkins Gold (born Gloria Tomkins, the daughter of Saul S. Tomkins and Muriel Sklar). Gloria was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Jewish emigrants. Saul was born in Bălţi, Moldova, the son of Samuel Tomkins and Haya Kliegman. Muriel was born in Odessa, Ukraine, the daughter of Gregory Sklar and Bertha Idilman.

    I should specify that I don’t know if her mother is actually Irish. I just found her and her parents’ immigration record from Frankfurt, Germany, and concluded that “Clohecy” was an Irish surname, and that her parents’ names were British Isles-sounding (Tompkins). So I assumed they were originally from Ireland, and not Germany.
