How to check if your phone supports eSIM
Settings → General → About → scroll to "Available SIMs" or "Digital SIM" / IMEI.
Settings → Connections → SIM Manager. If you see "Add eSIM" — your phone supports it.
Dial *#06# — if you see an EID number, your device supports eSIM.

Important Notes
• Carrier-locked devices: If your phone was purchased through a carrier, it might be locked. Contact your carrier to unlock it before using a travel eSIM.
• Mainland China models: iPhones sold in mainland China use dual physical SIMs and don't support eSIM. iPhone 13 and earlier models in Hong Kong/Macau also lack eSIM.
• iPhone 14 (US models): US-version iPhone 14 and newer are eSIM-only (no physical SIM tray).
• Android variations: Some Android models have regional differences in eSIM support. Always verify with the *#06# code or in Settings.
