Our Story

Our story begins with kindergarten teacher, Greg Gorman, who created ESGI (Educational Software for Guiding Instruction) in 2001. He saw firsthand that traditional, paper-based progress monitoring was painfully inadequate in providing the real-time student data needed to effectively inform instruction. Subsequently, he created ESGI as an online solution for teacher-led assessment.

In 2019, ESGI joined Riverside Insights, united in our commitment to enrich lives and elevate learning potential.

Today ESGI is the leading progress monitoring solution for Pre-K through 2nd Grade. Teachers get real time data in no time at all with ESGI!
