MY STORY
Eric Norberg
My heart is to see Christ’s people worship in Spirit and in Truth. I want to understand His character and let that influence the way I present my life and my worship to Him. If He is who we say He is, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, then He is worthy of every breath, tear, bead of sweat, aching bone, anxious thought, and shout of joy. He is worthy of it all.
Eric grew up in College Park, Florida, and would attend church every Sunday. Although he grew up in the church, Eric’s heart for worship was cold until the Lord called him to fast from secular music for a month in 2019. “Until that year, you can ask anyone how I felt about worship in the church, and they would tell you I hated it. In that year, my entire life was turned upside down. I fell in love with worship. It felt like I was wearing glasses for the first time. I could see clearly now and what the Lord was ready to show me was beautiful.” During that time, Eric felt a call to abandon his dream of working in the hospitality industry and to say yes to serving the Lord.
Since he heard that call, Eric has been using his gifts to serve the church in whatever way possible. He worked full-time for two years at Grace Church as their Orlando Worship Leader. Prior to that, he was an apprentice at Elevation Church for four months in Charlotte, North Carolina. Currently, Eric is planted and serving at the Elevation Church Orlando campus. Along with serving at his local church, he has had the opportunity to lead at multiple churches and events across central Florida.
Recently, he has had the opportunity to travel inside and outside of the nation to share his passion for the Lord and worship. He has had the privilege of leading in Florida, South and North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Singapore, and Malaysia. “Traveling and leading this year has shown and taught me more than I can imagine. No matter where I go, no matter the language, no matter the background of the church, we are all worship the same God. Serving God’s people has been the most beautiful thing I’ve ever been a part of.”
