A couple hundred people gathered on May 2nd at the cleared Southwest Grand Rapids site where the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s new headquarters will be constructed. Honor Construction is the owner’s representative, Erhardt Construction Co. is the general contractor, and Rossetti is the architect.

LMCU Ballpark is set to welcome fans with a completely revamped look as a new season approaches. Not only will spectators notice the changes, but players will also benefit from the upgrades. “This was a 32-year-old field, and we took it completely out,” said Whitecaps General Manager Jim Jarecki regarding the extensive renovations.

Construction on new $19M lodge at Grand Rapids park to begin soon
The Grand Rapids City Commission approved a $14.3 million contract to Erhardt Construction to begin construction on the new MLK Park Lodge. The new lodge will include community offices, a rentable multipurpose room and classrooms, a gymnasium, and a fitness room for classes. A new, separate pool house will also be constructed.
The West Michigan Whitecaps’ field will return this spring with a new look
LMCU Ballpark will look a bit different next year.
Whitecaps fans can expect to see new seating, terrace areas and more by Spring 2025. The stadium is starting its multi-phase, multi-year series of projects and most recently, a new clubhouse is being installed. West Michigan’s Erhardt Construction is the general contractor for these projects and will have assistance from Progressive AE.

Trinity Health opening $6.5M emergency center north of Grand Rapids
Trinity Health has opened a $6.5 million emergency department that will provide emergency services for residents near Rockford and northern Kent County. The new 24/7 emergency department features nine patient rooms, a diagnostic lab, cardiac monitoring, and more. Construction was completed by Erhardt Construction.

In partnership with Erhardt Construction and Progressive A&E, Haviland Enterprises, Inc. is commemorating its 90th anniversary by constructing a new $7 million flagship laboratory on Ann St. in Grand Rapids. The facility is set to be completed and in full operation in 2025.
What’s being built along Fulton Street? It’s got a green ‘living’ roof
Currently, Temple Emanuel’s new entrance structure around the back staircase is being reworked and sealed by Erhardt Construction and Integrated Architecture. After the entrance and gathering spaces are modified, a green or “living” roof will be installed over the bathrooms.

Crews are working on finishing up renovations at the LMCU Ballpark. Erhardt Construction Senior Vice President Ryan Formsma said construction is going well. “It’s exciting to start to see it all come together and to take shape,” he said, adding that he’s heard a lot of excitement from people who have seen the project from the freeway.
