A JOYFUL & BLESSED CHRISTMAS
AND A PEACEFUL & HOPE-FILLED NEW YEAR
TO ONE AND ALL.
Finally! I've republished the first seven books of Chronicles of Ylandre with the release of Book Seven: Shield Mate. It's been a bit of a slog doing this on my own. But now I get to concentrate on the next book which I hope to release later this year. Wish me luck!
As with all the previous re-released books, there are some changes in Shield Mate - typo and term corrections, structural tweaks to sentences, and a few added or altered sentences or paragraphs.

I’m happy to announce that Chronicles of Ylandre Books 6: In Fine Form is out. As with the first 5 books, there are some changes in In Fine Form. Basically the correction of typos that got through the first time, some tweaks to fix a few awkwardly structured or worded sentences and the naming of a previously unnamed character because I gave that character a name in Of Great Price.

In the meantime, the cover of Book 7: Shield Mate is underway so I might republish it this March or April. I’m planning to release the books in print as well (POD) once I’ve republished Shield Mate and got new covers for Sacred Fate and Duty or Desire so all the books in the series match. Wish me luck!
CHRONICLES OF YLANDRE
Book 1: Sacred Fate
Book 2: Hallowed Bond
Book 3: By Chance Met
Book 4: Heartstrings
Book 5: Cross Purposes
Book 6: In Fine Form
Book 8: Duty or Desire
Book 9: Of Great Price
I'm so chuffed and terribly relieved to be able announce that Chronicles of Ylandre Book 5: Cross Purposes is out. I had bit of trouble getting it on Amazon because a copy of the first edition wound up on a scam site that offered book downloads. They even had a certain British ex-royal work of fantasy aka his version of reality and history on there. Happily, that got sorted out and Amazon accepted my book for republication.
I'm posting the D2D universal book link below. All the ebook outlets are present in this link which makes it easy to find a preferred store.

One caveat for which I ask my dear readers' pardon: if you haven’t read the republished editions of Sacred Fate and Hallowed Bond, you might be confused by an event in Of Great Price. Long story short: As a new author, I was too lacking in confidence to stick to my guns and so made changes that bugged me throughout the series.
In my original draft of Sacred Fate, one line of dialogue indicated that it’s Yovan Seydon to whom a certain secret was confided. My intent then was to establish his importance in the scheme of things for when I wrote his book. But when I submitted my manuscript for publication, I switched him with another character. Let’s just say I was led to believe an older character wouldn’t attract readers and was persuaded to go with one of the cousins instead. Naturally I had to continue with that change in Hallowed Bond in two lines of dialogue. Skip forward several years and books later and I realized I couldn’t let go of Yovan’s story. So when I set out to republish the earlier books, I decided to change that one particular line in SF and the two in HB and restore Yovan to his rightful place as a lead character in his own book. Whatever readers’ reactions may be to this, I hope Of Great Price doesn’t disappoint.
I’m also chuffed that another cover arrived in time for me to re-release Book 4: Heartstrings alongside OGP. It’s set to come out tomorrow so I’ll also post the UBL for it though that will go live a day later. As with Books 1-3, there are some changes, but nothing major. Basically the correction of typos that got through the first time and some tweaks to fix a few awkwardly structured or worded sentences and the like.
In other news, the cover of Book 5: Cross Purposes is almost done so I might be able to republish it this July or early August. And I’m revving up to start Book 10. If all goes well and writer’s block doesn’t get in the way again, I may finish it next year. *crosses fingers* It will feature Aeldan, older brother of Heartstrings’ Ashrian Mithani. A good chunk of the story will involve a return visit to the southern kingdom of Asmara and the reappearance of its royal family, the Halvans. Make of that what you will.

P.S. I hope to re-release Books 4 and 5 Heartstrings and Cross Purposes by July and Books 6 and 7 ln Fine Form and Shield Mate by the third quarter of 2023. Wish me luck.

You’d think that would have allowed me to indulge in non-stop writing. Nope. It was alarming and depressing to hear almost daily about relatives, friends and colleagues landing in the ICU or dying. Which of course led to constant worry that my husband or sons or I might wind up with severe cases, which was a real possibility before the vaccines came out. And then I found out that certain members of my extended family are anti-vaxxers who, for reasons I can’t fathom, took it against us for getting the shots. Ironically, a few of them did eventually get vaccinated but only after they got awfully sick with the Delta and Omicron variants. To top it all, the economic situation hereabouts is steadily deteriorating thanks to abysmal leadership. Needless to say, it’s been a trying two years and a half.
On the positive side, I managed to republish two more books and if I’m lucky I’ll re-release another three (or all) before the year ends. As with Sacred Fate, Books 2 & 3 have all-new covers and a few corrections - typos, reinsertions of unintended deletions the first time around, etc. One major change though affects the term Adda or the caregiver parent. I changed it back to the original word used when I submitted the manuscript of Sacred Fate. Ama is both the formal Filipino word for “father” and a variant spelling of the Chinese term (amah) for a nanny or nurse.
Frustratingly enough, my editor at the time told me to change it because ama reminded her of the Latin word for love. Even after I explained to her that the term had its roots in two Asian languages, she insisted readers would misconstrue it as the Deiran word for “lover.” I didn’t want to change it, but newbie that I was, I didn’t feel confident enough to challenge my editor on this. So I changed it to Adda which is obviously from the Elvish word for “Dad.” Hence the altered spelling which I never thought fit in with Aba, Opa and Oda. But I shoehorned it in anyway. And never ceased to regret it. So, yes, expect the original/new term Ama from hereon in all the CoY books from the first to the last.
As for Book 9, I’m happy to say I’m 3/4 of the way done with Of Great Price and hope to publish it by the end of summer at the earliest. I’m really excited but also nervous. For the first time I’m devoting a whole book to a mature couple in a long-term marriage - Rohyr’s Chief Counsellor and favorite uncle Yovan Seydon and his spouse Mered. I’ve only written short stories about mature couples in my LotR fanfic. Anyway, I’ll be going into more detail about the decades before Rohyr’s reign, Yovan’s youth and how he wound up married to Mered. I hope it will please.
