ER Mapper is a geospatial image processing and remote-sensing application designed for working with large raster datasets. It offers tools for visualizing, enhancing, and analyzing satellite and aerial imagery, with capabilities such as georeferencing, orthorectification, classification, mosaicking, and map layout creation. The software supports common raster and vector formats—including GeoTIFF, ECW, JPEG 2000, and Shapefile—and is optimized to handle very large images through efficient on-the-fly processing and compression.
