Data centers offer a unique opportunity to innovate with energy efficiency and clean and renewable alternatives. Thanks to the ingenuity of our teams, we’ve achieved:

Enabling new clean energy supply

Through power purchase agreements (PPAs), we’re supporting renewable energy generation in the US, India, Australia, Singapore, and many countries across Europe. Once fully operational, these wind and solar farms are expected to close the gap toward our 100% clean and renewable energy coverage goal.

Achieved an annual global water usage effectiveness (WUE) of 0.91, meaning our data centers use less than 1 liter of water per kWh on average.

Launched our Responsible Electronic Disposal (RED) program, a global waste management program.

Developed strategies to conserve and protect local biodiversity.

We don’t just account for the varying needs of our customers and stakeholders, but also for the local communities and ecosystems

To combat habitat destruction, noise pollution, and ecological instability, we require all new builds to include green space that supports biodiversity and employee well-being.

We’re optimizing our water consumption through new technologies, innovations, and monitoring solutions in support of sustainability. We’re implementing heat recovery and export systems wherever possible to warm thousands of homes, businesses, schools and community facilities nearby our data centers.
