What defines Epona? The team.
Our strength is not only rooted in our LegalTech expertise — it is found in the unique people who shape our culture, drive our innovation, and bring their passion into every solution we build. We are more than developers, consultants, designers, and specialists. We are creators, problem solvers, thinkers, and dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the customers we support.
Epona, in its current form, was established at the turn of 2025 when JustiSolutions AS (Denmark) and Epona BV (Netherlands) joined forces. Together, we united decades of product innovation, a strong global customer base, and two highly complementary areas of expertise:
- A long LegalTech heritage from Denmark with case- and document management in Advosys.
- A globally recognized document management platform and SharePoint expertise from the Netherlands.
With more than 65 employees across Denmark, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the USA, we operate with one shared purpose:
We exist to make legal work lighter – through secure, intelligent solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 and AI.

Epona is built on the mindset that challenges are opportunities – and that innovation comes from staying curious, bold, and willing to take our own path.
Our story began in The Netherlands in 2004, when a small and courageous group decided to rethink how legal professionals work with documents and information. In 2007, they broke away from reselling other systems and created their own DMS product. Over the years, Epona BV grew into a respected international provider with customers across Benelux, the United States, and beyond.
The Danish part of our journey began in 1995 when Advosys was introduced to the Danish market and the company turned into JustiSolutions in 2024, when Unik separated its LegalTech division. This brought with it a solid foundation:
- The long‑established Advosys CMS
- The modern JustiCase platform
- More than 400 Danish legal customers
- 35 experienced LegalTech professionals
In 2025, we merged — combining expertise, culture, customers, and technology into one unified company.
Today, we are a global LegalTech organization that continues to chart its own course. Our flat structure, fast development cycles, and direct customer engagement create a culture that is open, forward-thinking, and eager to challenge conventions.
What we do
We help legal professionals stay in control of cases, documents, knowledge, and emails. Our focus is clear: build solutions that reduce complexity and improve everyday work of the legal professionals.
Document Management
With Epona365, we turn Microsoft 365 and SharePoint into a complete DMS for legal teams. It supports matter centric work, secure collaboration, versioning, email filing, governance, and powerful search. Epona365 is our standard for new customers and is rolling out across Europe and the United States.
Case Management
With Advosys and the next generation platform JustiCase, we support the full lifecycle of legal work. From intake to task management, time and documents, and reporting. Advosys continues to evolve alongside our DMS platform to ensure a consistent and connected experience for our customers. JustiCase will integrate natively with Epona365 so data and documents flow naturally across the workday.

Use our products separately or combine them into one platform. Together, Epona365. Advosys and JustiCase create a connected environment where information is consistent, secure, and easy to find.

Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI Agents are changing software development, with Epona leading this shift. Epona’s next generation software uses advanced AI to automate tasks, support decision-making, and improve workflows. These agents learn and adapt to different business needs, including the complexities of legal document management and case management. By harnessing AI, Epona enables law firms and legal departments to organize, retrieve, and secure documents efficiently while streamlining case-related workflows and automating routine legal processes.
