1) went to the comic book store last night to pick up issue #5 of buffy season 8 and issue #4 of spn: origins. i'm glad i waited to get buffy #5; they always hold both covers for me and dark horse only had one cover at comic-con. i have the most awesomest #5 cover ever! 1a) ended up having a very lengthy discussion with the comic book boyz re. comic-con. one of them mentioned going to see the documentary "the king of kong" panel and a heated debate over level 2 and level 3 of the game ensued. CURSE YOU FOREVER LEVEL 3 ELEVATORS OF DOOM. 1b) comic book boyz have basically taken to SHOWING ME THEIR ORDER CATALOG to make sure i have all the stuff i want in my pull bin. *squishes them* 2) i attempted to drive to the office today and was thwarted by the gold line. seeing as i was trying to get to the office in time for a series of back to back meetings, i promptly turned around and headed back home. it was sorta like a do-over! 3) i am trying to hold out until september (and expected announcements re. new ipods) before i get an iphone BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF I AM THAT STRONG? i do know that my ever-abusive bf steve has called the press to cupertino on 7 aug. HMM. 4) twin peaks gold box set WITH BOTH THE US AND EUROPEAN PILOTS on october 30! (don't worry, season one and two sets, i will still love you the same!) 5) thanks to bigboobedcanuck, i will soon be the proud owner of friday night lights - season one for USD 19.99. la la la, do not need to wait for repeats, LA! 6) THEY TOLD ME BOURNE WAS COMING HOME TODAY WHERE IS HE ALREADY? 7) we're starting to hit the best part of summer - the part where SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER HAHAHA. o, october, how i long for you and your new episodes of supernatural! 8) dinner with billie rae tonight. i wonder which justin ringtone she is using this week? 9) man, i really need some new icons.

as most of you know, i'm not one to make a big fuss about my bday (mainly because i suck so bad at remembering everyone else's bday). so, imagine my surprise to log on last week and see so many bday wishes for meeeee! as per usual, my mum sent a ridiculously large bouquet (she's a leo, what can you do?), which was awesome except that it was a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries that i didn't get until almost 6p. yeah, that's right, no one around to help me eat them. and i just changed the weight on my dl, too.
and then if that wasn't fantastic enough, around 11pm i started seeing loads and loads of jared picspam because HIS birthday was on the 19th. so, you know, thank you jared. :)
in conclusion: flist, you are AWESOME! thank you for all of the birthday wishes!

my question is: why would you pay $600 for what is essentially a widescreen ipod with wifi and bluetooth? the whole reason it's $600 is the phone crap. srsly, y'all, my abusive bf steve will come through NO REALLY HES NOT JUST SAYING IT THIS TIME.
my predicition: widescreen ipod w/ wifi and bluetooth (incl safari etc.) by september at the latest. announcement in august.
my hope: it will also include newton's handwriting recognition technology. (ultimately, i'd hoped for a slot drive to play mini-dvds, but i realise that would go against the whole itunes movie download market. not to mention i heard that sony is scrapping the whole mini-dvd movie thinger; hell, you can rip movies for view on your psp anyway.)
hey, how's it goin'? long time, no talk, I know. things have been kinda busy around here lately.
so, i don't know if you recall, but we've had discussions on this topic previously. i thought we had an understanding, you know? at least, i thought, we'd agreed to disagree. don't ask, don't tell. that kind of thing.
see, here's the deal: when you decide to dream about jared padalecki, it should look at LOT more like this and A LOT LESS less like jared dressed as the man in the yellow hat. (although, i always liked the man in the yellow hat... and i did, for a while, think the man in the yellow hat was a fireman, which given that i watched "devil's trap" the other night sorta makes sense BUT STILL I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR YOU BRAIN.)
if this continues, i'll have to take drastic measures.
