“Raise Our Voices” A Song for the Resistance Being Created in Los Angeles

This new original song, with words and music by  Joseph Aronesty, e-commerce pioneer, songwriter, linguist, and activist is being recorded by a famous R&B/Gospel singer in Los Angeles. Since we have to time to waste, a link to the tune in demo mode still is posted here for our mutual support: https://soundcloud.com/aronesty/raise-our-voices-demo

Joseph strongly advocates economic boycott of companies associated with Donald Trump. He asks that like-minded citizens boycott Exxon/Mobil gas and Carl’s Jr. food. There are plenty of other places to get similar products. Continue boycott until Trump shows his taxes!

Trump’s ties to Russian bankers go way back to his casino cash businesses in Atlantic City. Joseph was a businessman in AC in the 1970’s and 1980’s.  “We all saw this sort of thing going down – luncheons with men with briefcases and Russian accents. Trump has had illegal accounts there for over 30 years. The system has long been in place for Russians to make payments to Trump, off the books, in those same and other new foreign bank accounts, for favors like the release of sanctions – all tied to that oil deal that Putin wants.”

Fellow Americans. Trump never had any other intention but to enrich himself in this presidential romp. Stop blaming Russia! They are a sovereign country with a different agenda, and they have a right to pursue their own agenda – or Putin’s autocratic agenda.  The blame on our side of this equation clearly lies with Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, it’s  now clear that “Make America Great” was just a slogan created to delude the most gullible and vulnerable of Americans. I think they know this by now, down deep. It’s beginning to feel like watching the lies of an unfaithful lover unravel. Heartbreak is beginning to set in among the Trump supporters – outrage among those who did not support him.

Back to strategy! So what can we do as Americans? Because Trump won’t and can’t show his taxes, we can take his power away with a simple boycott and demand his taxes move. His own business partners will walk away from Trump when they see we are determined not to spend with them because, like him, they all suffer from greed disease. They will show him the door, if they see their businesses being affected.

Fellow Americans, this is easy enough to do. Greed is their Achilles Heel, and we must attack it. We must Starve the Beast the way we do a cancer, if we sincerely intend to beat it. Greed disease is like cancer in that it saps the life force from its neighbor cells. And this is precisely what average Americans have been suffering from for so many years now.

Bernie speaks of this in his income inequality message. But, when politicians sell out for greed, they are also breaking their oaths of office. They can be removed from office for breaking that oath to serve us, not their own selves.  If we let them continue to do this, we are abdicating our duties as citizens. If we let them rule us like sheep, we deserve the lean pasture they seek to put us out to.

And since those in power hold the power, it’s very hard to put them out of office. Voting every 2-4 years does not seem to do it. We can see them working to curtail the voting rights of certain segments of Americans. So we have to attack them 24/7 with our spending habits. If we break the tie of business to government, we will get politicians who truly intend to serve their electorates, regardless of their political stripes.

Unfortunately, self-serving greed is the way of most politicians today – regardless of stripes. This will change if we stand strong now. Indivisible. Solidarity. Joined in purpose and song, we can not lose!

Why Humans Love Song & Music ~ The Durango Songwriter’s Expo

durango3What an amazing 4 days I just experienced. The Durango Songwriter’s Expo meets once a year, and this year it was in nearby Ventura, so I motored up to join them. Two hundred songwriters and industry professionals all there for each other, listening to songs primarily for TV and movies, but also for recording artists. Songwriters had a great time whilst they connected. It was really a “can’t beat it”  experience for me.So I am writing this for my new friends so they can get an appreciation for why humans love music.

As all artists know, there are two basic ways that governments view music and the performing arts. One view is that these are important cultural institutions that need to be supported. The other thought is that the arts are there to amuse us but they are essentially trivial and should not get support from tax dollars.

So let me explain why humans even like or love music in the first place. In my book “Deciphering the English Code” I put myself back into the world that existed just before humans created written symbols they could read to preserve and recall their spoken words. And I asked this question: How did humans learn about their histories before the creation of writing about 5000 years ago?

Without written history, humans only the spoken words of their elders to learn the wisdom of the ages. And we all know how songs stick in our heads, don’t we? Rhats has always been that way. It’s that way for songbirds too. so this goes way back in time, perhaps to the dinosaurs.

In fact, “getting stuff stuck in our heads” is exactly what songwriters seek to do!  Some now call them earworms.  Nature makes things that are esearwormsential to survival to be perceived as pleasant for us. That’s why sex and eating good food are enjoyable experiences. And before we had writing, it was only music and song that served as our main memory  enhancement technique. Knowledge of the past is, and always will be, essential to our survival on many levels.

Humans existed for two million years without written language, leaning on songs and even psalms to understand our past. So the enjoyment of song and music was hard-wired into our brains – and that wiring is not changing any time soon.

There will always be an appetite for music appreciation in humans. And for songwriters that is good to know.

DURANGO

The word DURANGO also seemed like it was worth looking into. Online, we find the word seems to mean STRONG in French. I find that definition to be incomplete. I get the DUR part. Words like DURABLE suggest strength over time. But i feel more of the TIME part of that metaphor than the strength. The words ENDURE and DURATION suggest that time strectch in DUR.

And then we are left with ANGO or ANG. And here I have some unique insight. The word ORANGE has that ANG ending and OR (AUR) at the onset. We know OR is a very old word for light. It survives in English words like TORCH, MORNING and HORIZON. ANG could be ANGLE just the way you see it. But ANG can also be broken down to AN+G. And we also know that AN is a very old translingual (Sumerian) word for SKY. I believe AN meant SKY because AH is a large sound and when making an NNN one lifts one’s tongue to the roof of one’s mouth, suggesting the large roof of the sky. Words for YEAR in various languages contain AN because we measured years by noting that the objects in the sky were back inthe same place again. ANNUAL ( Latin, English and Romance languages), SHANNAH ( Hebrew ), and YAN ( Chinese ) are all words for SKY.

And G often refers to the GROUND because the G sound is made deep in our guts. So ANG seems to mean “where the sky meets the ground”. And that might be the root fo the word ANGLE as well. Also – ANGELS were always thought of as being related to the sky.

And now DURANGO takes on a much fuller meaning of LONG ( durable ) HORIZON ( sky/earth intersection). LONG SUNSET! These are pictures of sunsets in Durango Mexico and Colorado. Now that unusual word, DURANGO, makes sense to me.

The Roots of Dreams

dream2

There is something very attractive about the word DREAM. Children are naturally drawn to the bible story about Joseph the dreamer. I’m a Joseph, and always identified with that parable – but it’s not just Josephs that have that affinity for DREAMS.

Dreams are mysterious, magical and also very important. Dreams support almost everything we see going about us in the world of men. Not much happens in that world unless its inspired  by some sort of dream. Bridges and skyscrapers are built because someone had a dream. People become doctors because they dream of helping people. So what is the root of that very important word?

First, we have to recognize that there are two parts to that word ( and almost all words ). There is the DR and the EAM. In English, and many other languages, DR-words have one unifying meaning: they refer to WATER. Examples follow:

DRINK, DRIP, DROP
DRAUGHT—as in draught or draft beer; liquid is implied.
DRIFT—as in driftwood drifting in a watery sea.
DRIBBLE—water pouring from the mouth.
DRIZZLE—a form of rain water that is fizzling out.
DROWN—submersed down in water too long. (DR/WATER + DOWN = DROWN)
DRY—the opposite of water. (Remember: Opposites are etymologically connected.)
DRAIN—water flows down the drain; RAIN is part of DRAIN.
DREDGE—clean a bed of water by scooping out the mud; related to draining
DROUGHT—having no water for a dangerously long time; a morphed combination
of naught for “no” and DR for “water.”
HYDROGEN—it generates water.
WATER is pronounced WAW-DR.

The reason for this association is onomatopoia. When a drop of water hits a body of water, it sounds like DRIH. Say DRIH with a rising end tone, and you will hear that. So now you know where these words came from, and you won’t forget if you went through that DRIH exercise. dream

But then what does DREAM have to do with water? It seems to miss the mark.  Well, don’t dismiss that too quickly. I want you to consider one other word, very similar to DREAM in form, and that word is DRAMA. Again, there is no seeming relation to WATER. When  a word that sounds like a member of a family of words does not seem to apply in definition, it’s often time to think harder and see what else can be found.

And this is what I found when I investigated the seeming discrepancy in the words DREAM and DRAMA. There is an almost universal equivalency between words for WATER and VISION! English examples are – SEA, SEE – MIRROR, MARINE -OCULAR, OCEAN – WATCH, WATER. But this goes through all languages. In Japanese WATER is MISU and SEE is MIRU.

So why is that? It’s seems strange, right? Think again! How on earth could you see yourself on planet earth before the invention of mirrors or shiny surfaces? The answer is – the only way we saw ourselves before mirrors was in the water! Early mirrors were just shallow bowls filled with water.

And now you have it! DREAM and DRAMA are vision words!

DRAMA means vision+ma. And MA is a root for LARGE as in MAJOR, MAGINFICENT, MAGNIFY, MAIN, MONSTER, MAHARAJA,  ( the big Raja ). So DRAMA is LARGE VISION. And that makes total sense. A drama queen makes a spectacle. A drama is a spectacle.

DREAM is VISION (DR)+EAM. If we drop the E in EAM (vowels have less etymological weight than consonants) we are left with VISION / AM – and AM is the root for LOVE – as in AMIABLE, AMITY and AMOROUS. I think its becasue two lips come together when we say AM.

And so DREAM’s inherent meaning is A VISION WE LOVE or a LOVING VISION. And this is really why DREAMS are so attractive. With all the nonsense we witness in the world, we still have dreams. Our dreams are our own, and they embody what we find attractive about our world.

And so, it is fulfilling to follow our dreams. As I get older, I learn more and more about the importance of following one’s dreams. If you want to live a life of love, follow your dreams. Whether your dreams fully materialise or not, the act of following them is is itself very satisfying, because by definition, dreams are the inner visions that we love.

Is Trump a “So-Called” President?

Let’s analyze what “so-called” really means first. Suppose Bill Bellachic, the incomparable coach of the New England Patriots announced that he was retiring next season and that the new coach was going to be his friend, a well-known businessman and hotelier with no football coaching  experience.  That person would have the title of coach, without the authority and respect that comes with having years of hard work at being a football coach. Fans would neve respect that move, would they? That hotelier/coach could then properly be called a “so-called” coach, because he had the title of coach, but was not really a coach by trade or experience.

belachic

Calling a sitting judge a “so-called” judge exposes not only a lack of respect for the postions of president and judge, but also a  lack of an understanding of very basic phrase in the English language. You dont use “so-called” to refer to someone who actually has life experience at a job. It’s also the ultimate in the pot calling the kettle black in this metaphor.

So I am suggesting we start using the hashtag #SoCalledPresident. It fits DT so properly. He has the title, probably won in some illegal way, the way he’s got everything in his life – but he has no real basic authority because he has earned very little respect amongst most Americans. True authority comes from respect, and respect comes from doing things right – setting a proper example – being charitable. All things Donny Trump never learned along the way. The more you learn about Donny Trump, the more you realize that Mitt Romney called it 100% right – a fake, charlatan and a blowhard is all he has ever been.

There’s a line in Carlito’s Way, when Sean Penn, the lawyer gone renegade, is hiding in a hospital room, afraid that the mob will come to kill him. He has a gun. Pacino tells him a gun won’t do him any good. He says you can’t just say you are a gangster and be one. He reminds him that gangsters start  very young and their experience makes them who they are. And of course, Penn does not make it out of that scene alive.

Let’s Raise Our Voices to this#SoCalledPresident !

Don’t back down! He wont be there long. His own people will show him the door, when they realize he is destroying them as well – and he is. The GOP is essentially finished. They just don’t see it yet. But we do, don’t we?

One more thing Donny. When you disrespect the laws and judges of our nation, you open the door for others to do the same. How do you expect a person who is handed a sentence in a country of laws to feel a sense of lawfulness to serve it out, if you, the so-called leader of the United States ( and you are not that either – not a leader ), do not respect the laws and judges of our country? Life does not work that way in a democracy. It works that way in Putin’s Russia. That’s an autocracy, not a democracy. Do you know the difference? And how do you expect anyone to respect you, if you don’t respect the judges of our country?

Yes, you went to U of P. But stop saying you are smart. Your dad paid your way through college and I remember you paying for your homework there.  You’re done fooling people. Even you know that now.

Step down! Maybe it will be a good thing for you. Get your business groove back. Somehow I sense you are looking to be born again, perhaps to atone for a life of sin and emptiness.

Step down! Work on perfecting your soul. Nobody likes you anymore. No one is laughing at your jokes now. Even your wife does not want to go to Washington with you.

Step down! You’ve had your fun with this by now.

What have you got to lose?  If you frame it right, people will respect you for it – at last!

And then, you’ll still have the time and money to figure life out.

Step down, man! This is not going to end well for you, your family or anyone.

The Power of Boycotting Business Associated with Trump

Boycotting the businesses of those who are on the wrong side of history is exactly how we take back our government. We don’t even need politicians to do this. The businesses will become our puppets if their sales drop.  We need to show them we can do without them. They think we can’t.

In some countries it may even be true that consumers cannot refuse the goods that business creates.  In impoverished countries, whatever is sold is needed for sustenance. But that’s not true here, yet. We still have options for most purchases. And we have to favor those that seem to be on the right side of history, and punish those that seem to be our adversaries. And if we continue to allow big business to continue to buy the government, we are trending in the direction of 3rd world countries.  By having one large company do what several smaller ones can do, the money pools to fewer. And that’s only good for those with greed disease.

Thankfully, most people dont have greed disease. Even large business owners, like Mark Cuban, Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, seem to have a desire to share their successes. But some, like Donald Trump – don’t give off that aura at all. We can spot greed disease when we see it. It’s sort of like cancer, eating up all the resources. They don’t fool us.Our immune system recognizes greed disease. Now we just have to starve it out. This is how.

Starting today!

#1 Boycott Exxon/Mobil Gas. Choose any other. That’s easy.

#2 Boycott Carl’s Junior – that’s easy too, right?

Two companies to boycott. That’s enough to make changes happen. The list could be longer, but this is easy to communicate. Spread this thru your facebook and twitter accounts. It should be global by Wednesday.

Start date of boycott is 1/25/17. If you spend with these companies, you have no right to complain about our current president’s tactics.

WE HAVE ONLY ONE DEMAND TO LIFT OUR BOYCOTT. TRUMP’S TAXES!

Stick to it, until we get Trump’s taxes. They, his business friends, will force him to do it. We dont need a law suit. We dont even need Bernie, or Democrats. The marketplace will take care of it, if we boycott anyone that’s even close to him.politicians2This we can do ourselves. .

And then we get to say what our health care is. Get rid of the middlemen, the politicians – please! Vote with your wallets. Trump will step down if he has to show his taxes. And then we just keep this up until we run things. Representative government is dead. We know what works for us. We don’t need politicians.

Consumers are at the bottom of the rung, and are also the workers. They only need the goods and services that business owners provide to live happy healthy lives, which is all anyone can ask for. When businesses are small or medium size, this diagram works fine for everyone.

But when greed sets in, (symbolized by the money bags) the system falls apart.  Businesses lobby the polticians for tax breaks, and all sorts of things that are not good for the environment, planet and the health and welfare of the general population.

Then when greed rules at the politician level, the consumers needs get cut out of the diagram altogether. And then, its clear, the entire system is not working for most of the people any longer.

That is where we are today. Bernie had the message of income inequality, but he got thrown under the bus by Hillary, who got thrown under the bus by Trump. So now we have a president who never cared for anyone in his entire life and he is not starting now.

For those who voted for Trump, you see him dismantling your health care, selling out to Russia, gearig up for an oil war that your chidren, not his, will fight and die for. I think most of you know you made a boo-boo. I forgive you. We forgive you! Hillary was not a great choice either. OK? But, why do we need any of these politicians, when we can do this ourselves with a simple boycott?

So I ask you to stand with me, and boycott Exxon/Mobil and the few companies on this form. The list could be much longer. but this short list will get the job done. Remember, we want one thing: TRUMP’S TAXES for the last 7 years.  Yeah, , it’s the one thing he can’t show. So he’ll make one more deal, to let Pence run things.

This is going to work great folks. Keep focused on the diagram. Start today. We don’t even need the marches any more. Just the boycott. Then watch as they come to our table!

Thank You.

The Etymology of PUSSY POWER

Let me start this with by quoting from the Oxford Old English Dictionary’s etymology on PUSSY: perhaps from Old Norse puss “pocket, pouch”pussyhat

My book, Deciphering the English Code,  explains the P-words are very often about pushing. The reason for that correlation traces  back to our body/sign langauge way of communicating that we relied on before we learned to talk, about 125,000 years ago, in Africa. When you say PUH, you sort of project or push your lips forward a bit. So words like PUSH, POWER, PICK, SPIKE, POKE, PRICK, and POINT evolved over time because the making of a P-sound was originally linked with the idea of pushing something ( our lips ) forward.

If PUSSY is from Old Norse where puss meant pocket, you should notice that a pocket is something that is poked into pants. The sense of poking is relevant to the image of a pocket. The concepts of poking and pushing are visual images that can be used to describe the female genitalia, and it seems that is the attribute of the vulva that was indeed used to create the word PUSSY – as something to be poked or perhaps something that pushes. Either way it works, right? And it works for penis and prick too. But there’s more to notice here.

If PUSSY is related to PUSH, it’s related to PUSHY too. And there is a family of words we all use everyday and, up until now, its true etymology has not been revealed. That word family is PUSH, BOSS, BOSSY, BUSY, BUSINESS! Linguists know that the P and B sounds are closely related in sound and they will flip from language to language. In Egypt, many still say BOKER for POKER. We say PAPA but in many countries its BABA or ABAH.

So the timeline of the etymology of BUSINESS goes like this: PUSH. A person who pushes is a BOSS. If you are pushed to perform, you are BUSY. The state of being always BUSY resembles BUSINESS.( NESS as a suffix refers to the birth state of a concept. That’s a different discussion, but the words NEST, HIGHNESS and NEW and NATAL highlight that correlation.)

Which brings us back to PUSSY. Because PUSSY-NESS or PUSSINESS means BUSINESS

Donald Trump! I never thought that you were that good at business. My sense of your seeming success is that you stole the largest portion of your “fortune” from hard-working people who trusted that you were a decent human (which you never have been, yet) when working for you, playing in your casinos ( where you badgered skilled blackjack players when the rules in AC prohibited this, unlike Vegas), or going to your “university” or being in of one of your pageants.

So this question remains to be played out.

Who will prevail – PUSSINESS or BUSINESS?

I’m betting on pussiness. Keep it up girls!

Yeah, PUSSINESS! Very Colbert.

VOTING MACHINES NOT AFFECTED. REALLY?

hackIt takes two things to make a vote tally. One is a machine that records and tallies a vote properly. We are told that the machines were not hackable, or not hacked. Seeing as the GOP seems to stop at nothing, including voter suppression, I have my doubts about that. But even if we accept that as a 100% fact, there is still another essential part of the vote process equation that is hackable – and that is the actual voter’s will. Fake news, hacks – all affect a person’s perception of a candidate.

This season, it seems that the media made all claims fair game, false, sensational, and true – as they sought higher ratings, and got them. That may be deemed all well and good as free speech, as long as the news and claims come from the US and its citizens. But what if the news and claims come from a foreign entity?

For that circumstance, it is not free speech!  There is the Espionage Act which was created in 1918 and is still on the books. The act makes it a serious crime for foreign entities (countries, corporations and non-US citizens) to do or plan harm to the US. Further, any US citizen who works with a foreign entity to do plan to do harm to the US, is also guilty of espionage. And that makes Donald Trump guilty of espionage by his own words alone.

When he said on July 27th, “Russia, if you are listening, I hope you find the 30,000 emails” this was an invitation to hack the electoral process and the minds of our voters. The fact that the Russians did hack, only makes the crime worse. But even if they did not, an invitation to hack is itself a crime – and it should be, right?

If we don’t insist on that this was a crime, are we not saying it is ok if this happens again?  That’s why Trump downplays the hack., of course.  And if we deem this a crime, as we should and as it is, then Donald Trump is either guilty of espionage or at the least, suspected in complicity in an international espionage scam to win the presidency. We now also have proof the DT’s son Eric, net with the Russians 4 weeks before the election. We have plenty of probable cause here. It’s not just the Russians that should be investigated. We need to investigate the person that appears to have benefited here in the US.

The fact the Trump did not hack himself is not important. If someone hires a hit man to murder a spouse to collect insurance, we indict the both the murderer and the hirer, right?

Trump should be allowed to get away with this. To use his line, what have we got to lose by indicting him in his home state NY, for crimes against the electoral process? What is the worst that can really happen?  It’s going to be terribly bad for Americans and the Democratic Party anyway. I don’t think it could be worse. And we may even find that the GOP starts wanting Trump to go too. They get Pence/Ryan. We are all better off. They may just breathe a sigh of relief. They should.

If we indict Trump under the Espionage Act, we get discovery by a prosecuting attorney – including access to his taxes for trails to Russia, which have been there or 30 years, since his casino cash business days.  He was a known tax evader. Putin has dirt on him if he put funds in Russia. He must be Putin’s patsy now. He is essentially, unwittingly blackmailed by the dirt of his past.  I believe that if we get access to his taxes, he will ask to step down as long as he does not have to show his taxes. His draft dodger mentality still applies.

And then our nightmare is over. We’d get Pence I guess. We might have to surrender that. What really should happen if a criminal runs for president and we find out before he takes office? It’s a good question.

If it’s Pence/Ryan, the GOP will likely soon botch everything, like they always do, owing to their greed and general lack of care they have for average Americans. We’ll storm back in 2018 with Bernie or someone new (not Hillary, let’s be smart) at the helm.

This is easy folks. We have enough actual and circumstantial evidence to make an indictment; his own words, his son’s meetings, his cabinet picks. With an indictment, we can subpoena his tax and phone records too, and then it’s really done. Whoever does this will be heralded as the man or woman who saved America. Even most of his own supporters don’t like what they are hearing right now.

This must happen this week. Plenty of time. He won this in the last week, and he still can lose it, mainly because he is a sick man, and has been a criminal on many levels, for over 30 years.

There are plenty of high ranking Democrats with DA’s, including Schumer and Loretta Lynch, that can make this happen this week. The public is used to surprises. Let’s have one more. Let’s stand up for what is right. We have the law on our side. What are we waiting for? Wake up Democrats! You are about to lose everything we have worked for 150 years.  Indict Donald Trump for complicity in espionage today.

Finally, for those who say that the hack did not affect the election’s results – I think they are way off base or just afraid to say what they really think. Yes, they did not hack the machines. But if they affected the mind’s of voters, and that we have plenty of evidence of, then yes – the Russians affected our election’s results. This is the way Putin is taking over the world today. He’s doing it everywhere. The only way to make sure that he does not continue to do this in the USA is not “sanctions”.  Too wussy and does nothing to undo his victory. We have to indict the man he put in. Get it? Putin / put in. That’s what he is doing everywhere. Not here please.

The USA Has Been at War with Russia since June 2016

looselips

Link to the Espionage Act

On July 27th, in Doral Florida, when Donald Trump said “Russia, if you are listening, I hope you are able to find the 30,000 emails … you will be mightily rewarded by our press” he was in violation of the Espionage and Sedition Act.

Though much of the Espionage Act seems to refer to communication technology we rarely use any more, and focuses on acts committed during war times, the heart and soul of the act is on target for today’s times. Further, the nature of war has changed drastically over the last 100 years. Cyber war versus nuclear power countries has largely replaced wars with bombs. Putin is the world’s true pioneer and leading expert in modern cyber war – a war where words are the weapons and installing loyalists into foreign governments can get Putin the nearly same result he might desire from a physcial war.

Section 2 of Espionage Act ( parentheses are mine emphasis )

Whoever, with intent or reason to believe that it is to be used to the injury or the United States (to affect free and fair elections hence subvert the will of the American people ) or to the advantage of a foreign nation (Putin’s Russia), communicated, delivers, or transmits, or attempts to, or aids, or induces another to communicate, ( Trump asked someone to hack his opponent’s computer and release what might be found and suggested that person would be mightily rewarded ) deliver or transmit, to any foreign government, or to any faction or party or military or naval force within a foreign country, whether recognized or unrecognized by the United States, or to any representative, officer, agent, employee, subject, or citizen thereof, either directly or indirectly and document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blue print, plan, map, model, note, instrument, appliance, or information relating to the national defence, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than twenty years.

Since Donald Trump invited Russia to hack a presidential candidate’s computer on national TV, I believe he is guilty of espionage. I believe our DOJ can act immediately via the Espionage Act of 1918 and indict him for an act espionage.

The main Trump is not guilty legal argument I see out there goes like this:

All Trump said was that he hoped Russia could find emails that Hillary Clinton deleted from her private server. Common sense says that he only wants to get his opponent, Clinton, in trouble, which is fair game.  Say what you will about Trump’s tactics, he wasn’t looking to harm the U.S. or benefit Russia.

I argue that inviting a foreign enemy to affect an American election does indeed do harm to the USA. The USA is more than just our communal land, people and resources. The USA is also our way of governance. And the bedrock of our government is our free and fair, unhampered, unhacked elections.

Further, an invitation to hack a presidential candidate’s computer is tantamount to an invitation to open the back door to a home. Sure, you might tell a robber “only take stuff that belongs to my opponent”. But in fact, that is not how a hack or a robbery works. Once the door is open, anything can be robbed and things may spiral to violence or murder. So the person who invites that robbery is both complicit and indictable. The invitation is also a criminal act.

An invitation to hack any political election is a criminal seditious act that does real harm to the United States.

Will a distric attorney or senate member please look into this and address it ASAP? We don’t have to let this happen to us.

Added January 13th 2021, one week after the January 6th insurrection.

The 14th Amendment also says people who are involved in insurrection, – or even comforted an  insurrectionist cannot serve in our government. Look here: 14th Amendment.

The 14th certainly makes Donald Trump unqualified to serve, as he was the central figure in the Jan 6th insurrection.
