How Donald Trump Compares to King George III

I have put this argument together for people on the left and right. If you call yourself a conservative please wade through this and think for yourself. Let’s all set the many differences in our life views aside for a moment. Americans need to reason together now or we will all soon surely suffer great losses.

Donald Trump has openly set course to dismantle many long-standing governmental institutions. Good examples are installing Betsy DeVos as education secretary and placing industry insiders in charge of the EPA. The philosophy behind this tactic is “the private sector can do the work better than the government”. 

I wonder about this. Regardless, the work has to ultimately be done by people. If necessary work is done by private corporations, their souls are primarily driven by profits for owners and investors. The people doing actual work are viewed as expenses in their balance sheets.

However, if work is done with the US government at the helm, ideally all taxpayers have a share in the profits of that work. It is our government to share. But unless we are investors or owners, it is not our corporation to share. Not at all. Think on that next time someone tries to sell you trickle down anything. 

The GOP advertises this philosophy but there has been zero proof that it works for over 40 years. It appears to be a cover-up for fattening the wallets of the super-rich, and for that there is 40 years of evidence. 

While many functions historically belong to the private sector, some clearly do not. For example, the military could be a private sector enterprise. They call people who go into the militia for pay mercenaries. But this is not the way we do military here in the US, and it’s probably a good thing.  If making war creates corporate profits, it opens the avenue for more wars. To many, it still feels like the Vietnam and Iraq wars were mainly about corporate profits.

In the USA, we have public education because those who have come before us have deemed it to be in our national interest to have well educated citizens. So I have begun to wonder whether this course of dismantling government agencies so that their functions are left for corporations to do is even legal or constitutional when it does not serve the national interest.

Still Trump is plodding ahead with corporatism. And of course, he gets to choose who gets the fat contracts. By now its also clear he has the undeclared foreign bank accounts to accept any bribes for those assignments. That can’t be good for our nation, but it is good for the Trump family if all they care about is money. Most Americans believe that today. 

So how is this corporate direction working so far for our nation?

Trump’s secretaries of State have not made enough foreign assignments needed to adequately represent the United States across the globe. Weakening our world presence makes us less safe. Our presidents all take an oath to do their best to keep us safe.  If this  is Trump’s best, it’s incompetence – and if it’s not his best, it’s a willing attempt to sell this country out, which is also exactly what Russia, our sworn enemy, wants.

Trump’s secretary of Education, Betsy de Vos, does not fully believe in public education. Trump’s head of the Environmental Protection Agency is not protecting the environment. Scott Pruitt was selling out the environment the EPA was designed to protect to the highest bidders and swiftly undoing the environmental safeguards we have put in place over the last 40 years. And Trump says he is doing a great job for the economy. Yes, its a great job if you don’t care about the citizens of this country and think of them as deficits on the balance sheet of corporate profits. 

Trump is also trying to undo Medicare, Affordable Care, Women’s HealthCare and now even the Veterans Administration is not sacred to his party. He seems to aim to stop the VA from functioning by putting incompetent or sold-out yes men in charge, setting the VA on a path to privatization. If this becomes successful, his donors can sell the VA’s pieces to the highest bidders in big medicine, stuff their pockets – and run. This will not serve veterans and they know it. Trump fired the head of the VA because he was actually trying to improve things for our veterans.

Trump’s party members are in effect using the corporate raider system to bankrupt the USA, piece-by-piece – and they have the undeclared foreign bank accounts to hide what they steal. They are even trying to dismantle the Post Office. And if a corporation does not stand with Trump, and buy into his plans, like Amazon and Jeff Bezos, he tries to undo them. 

All the above mentioned agencies existed before this presidency and have been in place for many presidencies, generations and in some cases centuries. These agencies exist and were formed because these agencies were deemed necessary to protect and provide for the citizens of this country that this government was designed to serve.

The people who voted for Trump did not weigh in and say we don’t want a public VA, clean air or good public education, nor did Trump run on those things. In fact, Trump’s supporters rejected Romney because he was honest and told them that he wanted more corporatism. In a democracy, a change at the top does not undo the importance of the work these established agencies were created to do for us. In an autocracy however, everything a country stands for can pivot on the whim of an authoritarian.

We have seen all this many times before in other countries, but never yet in the United States. Yet we are witnessing the piece-by-piece dismantling of the US government and and we are letting it happen. There are brains far smarter than Donald Trump behind this. They hide. Trump is just the spokesman for a wealthy, greedy, unpatriotic group of industrialists who want to profit by privatizing all the functions of the US government. And if that is not in the interest of the majority of Americans, and a president swears to do his best to protect our national interests, how can it be legal or constitutional?

Which brings me to this. What was the United States originally designed to do for its citizens? For that we need to look back to 1776. 

What Can the Declaration of Independence Teach Us?

The enabling clauses of the the Declaration of Independence is what forms the basis for the formation of this country. The colonists list their grievances with King George III of England, who had been ruling the colonies from an out-of-touch distance.  This is where I please ask the fundamentalists, constitutionalists and Trump supporters – pay close attention and try to form your own independent opinion.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, …

Have the US citizens given consent to their president to stop protecting our environment? Negative! And when it comes to our liberty and our freedom, – how can “working with Russians to try to fix a free and fair election” be constitutional? It does not foster our liberty or freedom. It sells us all out.

There is very little Trump has done that has actually the consent of the public he serves.  The public was 3:1 against his tax plan, and he/they did it anyway.  He simply says things like “You elected me president, I can do what I want”, “I’m the president and you’re not”. This is not how democracy was designed to function. This is however exactly how an authoritarian oligarchy works.

The Words of a Fully-committed Authoritarian

Listen to what Putin said at a USSR hockey game to a CBS reporter. He said with an undeniable smirk “Trump is acting in accordance with his own government constitution and laws”. There is a sense that Putin knows Trump is struggling with the machinations and pesky laws of a democracy. Putin is a dictator who often silences his opposition the old-fashioned way. He does not have to abide by a constitution. His will is the constitution. There is no democracy in Russia. We are in the process of losing that here now. 

Trump clearly wishes he had Putin’s supreme power. He has said so. He also said it might be a good thing if one could be president for life. Trump is actually working on that, step-by-step – and I get the distinct impression that the Russian help he is getting is more than just election meddling. Putin seems to be feeding him the steps he needs to take to become fascist authoritarian in the USA, like he is in Russia. I also say that because I know Trump is not that smart, nor is he a historian in any sense of that word. I went to Penn and saw him paying for his homework in 1967. We all knew he was no scholar. Like I said, other brains are behind this assault on democracy. I digress. Back on track. 

The Declaration of Independence goes on to enumerate distinct grievances which form the reasons the colonists needed to get free of King George III and English rule. The colonists complaints sound frighteningly similar to the complaints the left has against Trump today. These are quotes from the 1776 document:

The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having the object to establish an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.  – That means George III held himself above the rule of law.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, and … he has utterly neglected to attend to them. This reminds me of Trump dismantling the EPA and ignoring climate science.  All our citizens need and have clearly demanded that our government work to provide clean air and water.  A clean environment speaks to the right to life. 

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, … This is reminiscent of the GOP voter intimidation laws, Gerrymandering and census tampering. trump also attacks immigrants and people with brown skin.  

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. Reminiscent of when the GOP questioned witnesses in the Mueller probe in NYC rather than DC. Fatiguing opponents into compliance is so Trump-style one would think he studied King George III. But no. Trump does not study. 

He has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, … This feels like what Trump is doing to the Mexicans and DACA kids. 

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.  Trump repeatedly fires staff that do not bend to his will. He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. He has obstructed the Administration of Justice How amazingly similar to today’s conversations this all seems to be. 

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world. Trump’s trade war fits right in there.

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent: Trump’s billionaire tax relief bill fits here. And really, Americans were 75%-25% against his tax bill. He did not have our consent! 

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever. This is what the nuclear option would do to America. King George did this and Trump is asking for it.

He is at this time transporting Armies of foreign Mercenaries to …. complete works of tyranny unworthy of a …civilized nation. And these remind me of the Russian accomplices Trump worked with to gain power. Yes, you have to adjust a bit for 250 years, but not that much. 

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us …. This is exactly what Trump does and has done since day one with his birther stance. He divides the nation into two artificial camps, weakens them both, and tries to conquer that way.  His strategy is the house divided theory incarnate. 

History does repeat itself. What King George III was a saw in the colonies was a way to make a buck without caring about the colonists. This is the same with Trump and the GOP. They view everything through the lens of their personal profits. They even try to enroll our citizens into thinking profit is all that matters in life. 

I’m going to stop this now and not recommend the course out of this for us. We all know we have to vote out the president’s party in November. That is the only way out of the Trump Error. Yes, i said error – not era. Hopefully it will be over November, in less that 200 days. We are, in that case, 70% through the Trump Error. 

It’s also worth mentioning that Fareed Zakaria just reminded us the Germany was the world’s most progressive democracy when Hitler destroyed the machinations of democracy – piece-by-piece. History repeats itself. 

I will close with this. In the later part of his life, George III had recurrent, and eventually permanent, mental illness. Sic semper tyrannus. The 2020 voters are coming!

WHY THE GOP AND TRUMP WON’T HELP YOU WITH HEALTHCARE

In order to stay in power, authoritarians need power concentrated into the hands of a small plutocracy. As long as there is a middle class in a free society, there will be always be challenges to an authoritarian.  So ending healthcare is another way to make the middle class weaker, which is the authoritarian’s goal. Trump’s friends don’t worry about paying for their own healthcare.  The super-rich can pay and Congress has its own policy.

If we, the middle-class and lower class Americans,  get sick and die -that’s a win for Trump and his GOP.  If we are too busy staying alive to summon the energy challenge him, that’s also a win for Trump and the GOP. The demise of a healthy middle class is their main goal! Why?  Without a middle class, the ruling class can stay in power. That’s also what they have in Russia, North Korea and China!

Trump wants to stay in power for life. He has even said so. Trump wants to stay in power for life because he knows he stole the election and has been stiffing the US government of taxes all his life. If he must see justice, the Trump Organization and the Trumps will be broken. It’s that simple. 

What is healthcare? The way we usually refer to healthcare, we don’t speak of actually taking care of anyone’s health. We speak about how to pay for doctors.

But there is no such thing as a free lunch. It’s a metaphor. Let’s go over that.

Doctors and hospitals have expenses and must make a living. People get sick and need their services.

Ideally, if people paid doctors directly, there would be no need for insurance. But, costs are so high for many treatments, and very few can afford to pay for some of these treatments directly.

So, healthy people and younger people pay monthly into a pool, so when and if they are sick, there will be funds there for them. That is insurance. The only things that can affect the costs of the services are these.

#1 – The profit percentage and actual cost of the administration, whether it be by a private company or a government agency, is the real cost to consumers

Private insurers have an obligation to make profits to share with their investors. Private insurance company profits tend to be unregulated and hence we, as consumers, pay more for private insurance.

The GOP likes to cite administrative waste as the bad issue with government run insurance. But in the end, this is simple math. People must be paid to “administrate” claims – and there is no reason to believe a private company can do it for less than a government agency.

#2. Bring down costs of the actual care. Note that a private company has no incentive to bring down costs. They are only interested in their bottom line, which goes up as things become more expensive. I’d like a private insurer to explain how they have, in the past, brought down the cost of health care. They have not. It’s quite the opposite.

#3. Incentives for people to get healthier. Yes, that works. But again, what incentive does a private company have for that? None. And do they do it? Not at all. Yes, people are often responsible for their own health, but not always.

#4 Change what is not covered. By covering less diseases and by excluding pre-existing conditions, one can get costs down for healthier people, but the cost is that many are left to stay sick or die. This is not compassionate. This is not Christian. This is not what America is all about. Americans know this.

And this is what the GOP is pushing right now. The GOP pushes it because they are sold out to the insurance companies and big pharma. They do not represent out interests as Americans. This is why they want to repeal before they replace.

The GOP knows very well they have no interest in doing anything better for Americans. They know the diagram. They are hoping Americans are that stupid. What did Trump say? “How stupid are Iowans? If they cared about anyone but their own selves, they would create a replacement before they repeal the ACA.

It’s OK. They won’t last 2 years if they repeal the ACA. In fact, I don’t think they will last 2 years anyway. They have shown their true colors. Trump is being exposed for the scoundrel he has always been.

#5. Lobbying for big pharma and insurance companies results in bribing government officials to protect company profits.  This results in them getting what they want for their bottom lines, while people get the short end of the stick. Lobbying must end.

Conclusion: There are no reasons that private companies can administer a risk pool for less than another body of people called a government agency. Private companies have a duty to make large profits for shareholders. There is no evidence that private companies have in the past, been effective at getting doctors and big phama to ask for less for their services.

Evidence in world markets show that Americans pay more for health care and are also less healthy than folks in many other countries that use a single payer method of administration.

The ACA was not perfect but it was better than what we had before.

We can make it better.

There are only two reasons that the GOP wants to end the ACA.

#1 The GOP is sold out to big pharma and insurance companies. They cannot change the costs of actual treatments.

#2 Donald Trump said he would end Obamacare. He wants to get it done so he looks like less of a liar to his base. He’s always been a liar. His base is catching on. Hopefully, Americans are not quite as dumb as Donny thinks they are.

Why Are We Are Gambling With Our Country’s 240 Year-old Democracy?

Citizens. Congresspeople. Do you have this feeling that our president is unstable and may be compromised? Why are we  gambling with our country’s 240 year-old democracy now?

trump-storm8Citizens. Congresspeople. Do you, like me, have this inner sense that our president is unstable and may be compromised? You are not alone. A decent percentage of Americans (and global citizens as well) now share those sentiments.  So why is America gambling with its 240 year-old democracy?

Actuaries and risk managers know “the more one has to lose, the less risk one should be willing to take”. Things we value more we gamble less with. It’s also common sense. So in theory, we should have a very low tolerance for gambling on our democracy.  And yet it feels to many that the GOP Congress is willing to risk it all rather than push for the truth about what the leader of their party did in the election of 2016. And by closing their eyes about 2016 they gamble blindly on what an unethical compromised businessman might do going forward to keep the truth buried.

John Bolton, coming on-board April 9th, seems to be a veiled threat to the citizens of the United States. It seems to say “I can blow this all up, if you come after me.” Trump is assembling a war room, and the targets of his war are justice and democracy

In spite of his words to the contrary, the majority of people in the US now believe Trump’s team did coordinate with the Russians ( and that means Putin) in the 2016 election.  Trump knows if the full truth gets out he may even go to jail. The traitorous act of reaching out to a foreign enemy to affect our elections should inform us that Trump does not care about America or the rule of law and is willing to engage in more traitorous or criminal acts to avoid getting caught.

This is why Trump must now be assured the rule of law applies to him. It’s not as much to get Trump out as to save our country from whatever a criminal might do to hide his crimes and cover his hide. Psychologists, history and common sense inform us that criminals will risk their own lives and the lives of others to not get caught. So its clear, any president under criminal investigation must have his powers checked. And that is what exactly we have here now. 

If we lose rule of law, we have lost our democracy.

Some are calling for impeachment. But impeachment is a long process, a national embarrassment and our laws are set up to make it difficult to actually implement. History informs us that Nixon and Clinton were “impeached”, but they did not even pay for their crimes.

Impeachment is a weird word. Why is there a peach in impeachment? I googled the etymology of the word IMPEACH. It stems from IMPEDIMENT, literally to shackle the feet or impede the movement of a leader. So maybe that’s all that needs to be done here. And that does not have to be a long process.

Representatives: Americans really don’t care what side of the aisle you are on. We all have families, kids, grand-kids, futures to look forward to, movies to see, etc. Trump is at least potentially compromised and the stakes are simply too high for us to gamble now. Are you willing to risk it all for a man who has a lifelong record of stiffing almost everyone he deals with – wives and family included? If so, your words and actions are being recorded. And the election of 2018 is not far away. The heart of the Blue Wave pumps for the rule of law, democracy and common sense. 

Citizens: Shouldn’t we stop gambling with our precious democracy now? We need checks and balances on a president under criminal investigation. That effort can proceed easier and faster than a full impeachment. We need to impede his actions until the full truth comes out. So a few things have to be done – and immediately or asap. 

#1 – Congress needs to make it clear Trump cannot start a war without Senate approval. A potentially compromised president should not have unchecked war powers. That is just craziness. 

#2 – A bill that ensures that Mueller will not be fired without just cause must be put in place. Trump must know he is not the be all end all in the USA just because he is currently president. In business, Trump never had much regard for the rule of law. But this is our country, not his business. So we have to protect it. We can’y rely on Trump to do this for us. That is a sad statement, but it rings true. Americans cannot currently rely on their president or Congress to protect their interests. They will have to do it for themselves. And that effort has begun. It is the heart of the #VoteThemOut and the #MeToo movements.

With these two steps, we can get to the intention of impeachment, without the rigors of an actual impeachment. – And that may be all we need now. 

Remember, Trump’s family life is unwinding. Melania and Baron will be likely gone soon and he knows that. Isolated from family, Trump is becoming a lone wolf and has less to lose by setting the world on fire. Given this situation, Trump having unchecked nuclear power is simply not sane. It is too large of a gamble. The president post is supposed to be there to protect us, not threaten us. He is not functioning in that manner and may not psychologically stable enough to do so. 

Character counts: Trump’s affairs should be more than a sign of infidelity to the women who bore his children. Why would someone be faithful to America’s citizens if he can summon no reasons to be faithful to his closest family members?  

#3. (Regrettably optional. ) At this point, I simple don’t get why we allow Trump to not show his taxes. That was the original empowerment pass we gave him. I really don’t care about current legality of this. Letting a POTUS not show taxes is not working for us! We need laws that actually work for our citizens.

Trump is in a special unique category now. It may be that our sworn enemy knows the full truth about his crimes and is blackmailing him over that.  GOP members could advocate for having Trump’s taxes revealed for national security reasons. It would actually bolster their party image which has been generally spineless in the face of Russia’s cyber attack. That spineless quality – whether they know it or not – is the heart if the Blue Wave. The majority of Americans don’t feel protected or safe with a Congress that won’t stand up to this president.

Vetting Our Politicians

Eventually we will need a bill that says no one can serve in the Congress, judicial or executive branch without the full release of 5 year’s of taxes and disclosure of any and all foreign bank accounts. if we don’t do this, this will happen again and again. Undeclared foreign bank accounts is exactly how we invite criminal money launderers into our government. They see the dollar signs in government and without full disclosure laws they know they can take bribes and hide them. Public service becomes self-service. This is pure dumbness. I have long said Trump would rather step down rather than show his taxes. If he had to show his taxes to be a candidate, he never would have run in the first place.

In summary: Shackling or impeding will sit better with Trump’s base than impeachment. Impeachment conjures up images of Clinton and Nixon. Trump’s crimes are potentially treasonous and if so, they would be in a vastly different category that the crimes of any previous presidents. 

And now, on April 9th, Trump will have a mental body double with his finger on the nuclear codes. This is craziness. We must stop the gambling before 4/9.

And how do we really know PUTIN is not calling all the shots here? Tillerson and Mattis were fired right after they took hard stances against Russia. We don’t know who is calling these shots! Putin rigs his elections, and executes his enemies.  Trump’s ties to Putin are no longer an unsubstantiated theory. What are we waiting for? We are gambling with men who have never been trustworthy. That speaks to Putin and Trump. 

Mueller: If you have the goods on Donald J Trump now is the time to release the hounds. Take those bold step before April 9th, when Bolton is scheduled to take office. After that, the world’s madness rating will escalate substantially and the stakes we will be gambling with will be the survival of the American democracy and the fate of mankind.

He was early to say he was working with the Russians, right after Trump said ” Russia if you’re listening”, because he witnessed those Russian mafia connections back in Trump’s casino days. “No way Trump lost that billion in AC. PUTIN’S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH: HE KNOWS A DIVIDED COUNTRY IS WEAKENED

Putin is clearly not a friend to democracy. We must treat him as an enemy of democracy and fight back with cyber weapons, the way he fought us. We don’t have a president willing to do that now.

3/18/18 If you missed it, this is Putin’s acceptance speech, translated.

Thank you, my friends. Thank you. We won in an open and fair fight, but this was not just a presidential election. This was also a very important test for all of us, for our whole country. It was a test of our political ripeness, self-sufficiency and independence.

We showed well and truly that no one can impose their will on us. We have showed that our people are truly capable of distinguishing between the thrust for newness and renovation and political provocation that has as its goal only one aim: to demolish Russia and usurp its power. The Russian people declared today that such choices and scenarios will not succeed on our soil. 

We won today, and thanks to the support of the overwhelming majority of our electors, we conducted a clean victory. We will work fairly and diligently. And we are calling everyone to come together around the interests of our people and our motherland. I promised you that we would conquer. We have conquered. Long live Russia.

Diagnosis: This is pretty straight-forward. 

#1. Putin does have to rebuke the stench of election tampering, just the way Trump does.

#2. Putin clearly states that election tampering will not succeed on Russian soil. We all know its OK with him to tamper in elections that are not on Russian soil, like in the USA and France. An

#3 Putin asks for Russians to come together. He knows a divided country is a weakened country. That is exactly what he is trying to do to democracies in Western countries: divide and weaken or perhaps divide and conquer! 

Putin is clearly not a friend to democracy. We must treat him as an enemy of democracy and fight back with cyber weapons, the way he fought us. We don’t have a president willing to do that now. In fact, our current president wanted to get a tower with his name on it built in Moscow, and has plenty of money at risk in undeclared foreign bank accounts. This is money that can be taken from him if he does not play ball with this enemy of democracy. And Trump loves money more than he loves his country or his wives. 

The Trump presidency has become a huge problem for our country. Allowing a criminal money launderer to run for president was never a good idea. Going forward we must insist that candidates provide years of tax returns and declare all foreign bank accounts to hold public office. This is why Trump won’t show his taxes. He is and has been a criminal for a long time.

The Cure for America:

Vote out all Trump-aligned politicians in 2018. This is key. Trump and the GOP have about 200 days left to screw up our country. Then, like the Parkland kids say – if they build a wall, we tear it down. If they passed an unfair bill, we undo it. We can undo all the bad things Trump and his party have done to America if we retake the majority in our houses in November. And we can also punish all who colluded with Trump in this criminal coupe of the executive branch and make sure it never happens again. 

200 days GOP. Have fun. That’s what your president said when he took office right? We’re going to have some fun with this. Enjoy it while you can. 200 days and you are mostly all gone! And we can all thank Trump for that. If one good thing will come out of the Trump presidency, its going to be him exposing how sick our politics have become and allowing us to recognize our issues.

We have a diagnosis. Our elections were meddled in. The voter’s minds were hacked by a Russian man who has no stake in democracy, because he only remains in power through fascism. The cure for this disease is easy really because the disease is not living in the majority of American people; our greedy elected representatives are the infected ones.

They can be voted out in 200 days.

Trump Alone Can Break Us. But 2018 Is 1968 On Social Media #Vote Them Out

Like a joke that is repeated too often and is no longer funny, Trump’s greatest hits are starting to really annoy Americans … everywhere. As people flee his inner circle, there is a growing sense that he really does not know what he is doing in his new role.

I joined the protesters in Beverly Hills on the night Trump was in LA. Thousands of people, from all walks of life, some with kids, marched with home-made banners to have their voices be heard. There was a giant Trump balloon, and I put one  of my VOTE THEM ALL OUT stickers on his blue suit ass. It looked great. There was music, food and reporters. One group of Indivisibles dressed up as Russians and did satire. What was witnessed was something I am calling TrumpLash. #TrumpLash . Consider helping spread that hashtag/meme. It’s a winner. Pardon my Trumpism.

He may have been OK as a reality TV star but he seems totally incompetent as POTUS. And all these job evacuees are costing us. It’s hard to get stuff done when your staff keeps changing. Projects are left unfinished. And the endless vetting processes for new staff are time consuming, draining and expensive.  Why would reasonable people be annoyed?

In 400 days, 43% of Trump’s top cabinet picks are gone . Many have stepped down, some have been fired, and some have even plead guilty to crimes. Trump said he would get the best people. But we now know that 43% of the time, his first choices were not solid choices. They’re gone. So they were not the best people after all, were they? And if that is the case, why would we trust him for anything if he gets it right only 4 times out of 7 ? We expect better in the USA. And for international diplomacy, 3 out of 7 wrong is a very dangerous stat. Imagine if Kennedy was wrong on the Cuban Missile Crisis or Roosevelt about Hitler. 

It is now also clear Trump’s hotheaded gut reactions are materially damaging the GOP party that he is aligned with. Why on earth would a thoughtful leader fire his Secretary of State on the same day of a tight election in Pennsylvania? That’s pure stupidity. It could have waited. That election was lost by less than 1%. I am sure that some percentage of GOP voters heard about that firing, and decided it was the straw that broke the camels’ back for them. They heard about the firing and switched their vote for the Dem. – or against the person in the WH. Same thing. There is clear evidence that Trump alone can break this (country).  People everywhere are beginning to catch on to that.  If we let him, he will break our democracy to save his neck. 

Welcome to the Spring of 2018. The weather is going to warm up. People will turn to the streets in numbers. Students were out today. They say it’s for better gun laws. But Trump is not going to do anything about gun control. He is too distracted trying to escape prosecution for his crimes. The underlying protest is against Donald J Trump. It’s TrumpLash. #TrumpLash

Even if he wanted to, Trump has effectively lost the public mandate to rule effectively. His approval ratings are at historic lows. And he never intended to work hard for Americans in the first place.  In his life, he has only ever schemed and cheated to benefit himself. Work? Working for others is not part of the Trump ethic. Serving his country? He was a draft dodger. Still has that mentality. His kids never served either. Not like Biden at all.

When he won, he said” OK, we’re going to have some fun with this“. That’s a quote. If it’s not fun for Trump, he does not get into it very much. Golf OK. Sex with strangers, very OK. Such a poor choice for president we have made. And we mostly all know it by now.

So what are we going to do about it America? The Spring and Summer of 2018 is going to be historic. The world really is watching us on this one. What’s it going to be?

What’s Really Behind Trump’s Announced North Korean Meeting?

Donald Trump announced today that he wants to meet with Kim Jong-un in May to discuss disarming. But is it Donald Trump, our generals, or Vladmir Putin behind this newly announced meeting? Let’s follow the money trails and use some logic and see if we can draw any conclusions.

Let’s follow the money and logical trails and see if we can draw some conclusions. 

#1 The Washington Post reported in December 2017 that some of the more advanced missiles recently put on display by North Korea were acquired with help from Russia. This was according to actual documents from one of the top Soviet missile manufacturers. That’s a solid source of information. So Russia is working with North Korea, and clearly Putin has some pretty decent pull with Kim Jong-un. 

#2 On February 3, 2017, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent out Lunar New Year greeting cards to numerous world leaders, highlighting his international allies. He listed Russia at the top of his list, relegating China to second place and Cuba to third. His symbolic show of solidarity with the Kremlin has also been accompanied by a string of economic deals with Russia. North Korea is also beholden to Russia owing to its geographical situation. North Korea is to Russia is like Delaware is to the United States. 

#3 On January 31 2017, Russia’s state news agency, TASS, reported that Russia Railways representatives visited North Korea to discuss an expansion of railway links between the two countries.  They share a border. Both parties agreed to expand training for North Korean engineers at Russian universities.

The obvious conclusion is that Putin and Jong-un are working together – and in that relationship clearly Putin has the upper hand.

Putin also has a huge stake in Trump’s success because there’s a 500 billion dollar oil deal he wanted Tillerson/Exxon for, owing to Obama’s sanctions against Russia for Putin invading Crimea. This is why Putin wanted Tillerson and not Romney. Putin also has the upper hand on Trump. ( Interesting that Tillerson is out now. My sense is that he was too much of a patriot, to cow-tow to Trump, a person he considered a moron. Kudos to Rex. )

Trump and Putin are clearly both very greedy men, salesmen more than statesmen, and they have their eyes on the biggest monetary deal in the history of man

So what is behind Trump’s May rendezvous with Kim Jong-un?

We can already see the one major result of Trump’s North Korean meeting: it takes the main focus of news reporting off the Russian story, where Trump cannot get a break, largely because the criminality and truth is slowly coming to light.  

We have clear evidence that Korea is working with Putin, so Putin is obviously in on this May meeting with Trump and Jong-un. Putin may even have directed it. They all have back-channels. Taking the heat off Trump increases Putin’s chance of getting that oil deal, which if Trump is ousted, he will never get – and he knows that. 

With all three players tractably and directly connected, what we are witnessing is nothing more than a choreographed staged show designed to make it seem like a big global problem is about to be solved by Donald Trump. And that buys Trump time to keep the Russian heat away. I don’t think this will turn out to be anything more than that. A stalling tactic coordinated by Putin to help Trump – probably for that oil deal which is what he wanted when he started helping Trump with “bots” and “spies”. 

Plus if they really wanted to solve the problem, they could use a phone or face time tomorrow. But that is NOT the goal. The goal is stall and put on a show and keep the public eye off the criminal activity that went on, and goes on daily in this White House. Trump has stopped the formality of  documenting who visits the White House. He does not even want us to know who he is working with here in the USA, let alone the foreign spies. Our diplomatic corps has been slashed to pieces. He has sold us out – not just Manafort. 

And Trump still won’t show his taxes for fear of what? Please fill that in yourself. But it’s not because he never gave much to charity or he is under audit.  I assume it’s because his taxes reveal ties to the shadowy regimes he has been working with for years. I assume its because he launders his money because he hates to pay tax to the USA and take part in any serious building of America with his dollars. That sort of patriotism has always been for suckers in his “don’t tax me” mind.  I assume that reasonable people know he won’t show taxes because it will reveal that Trump is a criminal. 

Trump knows its harder to attack a president when there are wars or peace negotiations going on. So maybe this entire event is part of a few coordinated staged events to get the news off Trump’s Russian connections. And working backwards, this cynical logic is already proving out. It’s working. And nothing else makes much sense.

manchurian-bwIf Trump stays in power, it increases Putin’s chance that the 500 billion-dollar oil deal will happen. And of course, Trump gets a percentage of that deal, deposited into one of those secret bank accounts that he refuses to disclose to us. That’s how these deals are made.

I always assume that people with known greed disease, like Putin and Trump have shown they have one main objective: to gain more dollars. It’s how greedy people measure their success. Neither Putin nor Trump has shown the world, or their citizens any real care for their constituents. Have they? They are clearly both in this for themselves. They would both feel out of their skin to become charitable souls. We all know that. Trump supporters know this too. 

So media people! Please do not get distracted by this sudden North Korea thing; it’s a coordinated staged show.  Yong-un will likely change his mind when it gets down to actual denuclearization. It is still a favorite to be a nothing-burger with Kim walking away, and a net effect of stalling for time and making Trump appear to be presidential. 

Stay on the Russian/Trump investigation. You will eventually discover that the Russians recruited Trump – and that was done for the Russian oil deal . They have three more years to get that done if we don’t impeach Trump and Tillerson. It’s worth that time to make 500 billion, right? It’s a long con, as its called in carny world.

Neither Trump nor Putin can outrun the Blue Wave of 2018!

If we VOTE THEM OUT in 2018, we can flip the house and that changes everything. And it is beginning to feel like this can happen. Almost no average American wants the GOP’s no-care health bill . Why would people vote for any GOP candidates in 2018? 

Saving some huge political event, there are only two realistic avenues to save America from the current Putin/Trump regime, which is what we have now. 

#1 Mueller gets to the truth on the Russian hack, and shows us all that Trump was in on it before November. That would do it.  

#2 The country votes out all sold-out congressmen in 2018. It looks like the pendulum is swinging in that direction. So stay vocal! Then we impeach Trump. 

This oil deal is what the Russian election campaign was all about. It is worth at least a 25 billion dollars (5% commission)  for Trump and 475 billion for Putin. Putin and Trump are salesmen, trying to make a “score”, which is what they call it.  I know this because I went to that same depression-survivor sales school as Trump did. It’ s why we ended up in a class together at Wharton School of Finance.

trumpHowever, this type of selling was not taught at Wharton. It was taught at Trump’s dinner table, while growing up. I got fed the same lines – I just made different decisions about them. And that’s why Trump thanked his long-deceased father at his acceptance speech. The thank you was lightly glossed over by the media, but it was actually a big deal for Trump who had serious father issues.

There was real generation gap between the spoiled kids of the 1960’s and the children of the Great Depression. Listen to Frank Zappa to learn about that.

Trump finally got closure on his father issue with a brief statement made to the deceased. It’s probably something he never told him when he was alive. It was his way of saying, “dad you were right all along”. It actually was one of the most human and honest statements Trump has ever made.

Media! Stay on the real story – the Trump/Putin coordination.

Do not get distracted by the staging we are witnessing. We will get more of it. It’s all the guilty can do. We will get to the obvious truth, but only if we stay focused on what our collective logic is telling us. We have elected a criminal. He is an outlying member of the Russian mafia, which deals in global money laundering.

Stay Strong Stormy! You May Have the Right to Speak – Regardless of Prior “Hush” Agreements

I believe an argument can be made that a US president has absolutely no right to silence its citizen’s unless the information is deemed classified for national security reasons.   

danielsWhat follows is a copy of an email I just sent to Stormy Daniel’s lawyer in Newport CA.  It also exposes a potential slippery slope, where Trump ends up having the right to silence anyone who speaks out against him. It’s a small step in his imagined plan to never step out of the presidency, because he knows when he loses his presidential protections, the good people of the world will see him out and put him where he belongs … with Bernie Madoff.

Consider this:

Citizen Donald Trump had a right to speak outrageous falsehoods about Barack Obama’s birthplace. Had Obama not been president, Obama could have sued Trump for those false statements. But Trump had the right to say whatever he wanted about president Obama, whether true or false. Obama lost the protection afforded American citizens when he stepped inside the political ring. (I think it goes back to the burning in effigy laws.)

Let me also advance an example from the business contract world. After all, Stormy’s lawyers are challenging a business agreement.  When Trump was a citizen, if one wanted to make a Donald Trump wig there would be laws to protect Trump from such manufacture without compensating him. He would also have a right to stop such production, if he so chose.

But the day Trump threw his hat in the ring, those citizen’s rights disappeared. Indeed, at Halloween many Donald Trump wigs suddenly appear for sale everywhere.  And Trump can’t ask for a penny. He has transitioned to a public figure. 

The “in order to” clauses that underpin the laws that give citizens rights to say anything they want about their political leaders anticipated the potential of an authoritarian president. This right was designed as a check on the potential abuse of power. It’s why speech is a right. The reason we have freedom of speech is to speak out against authoritarian leaders. Those rights were created for the same reasons our second amendment rights were created – to protect us from tyrannical rulers. And that right to speak about a public figure can’t be bargained away from a lawful US citizen. 

We don’t yet know if the contract with Stormy Daniels will ultimately found to be legal – but I am not sure it has to matter. An argument can be made that when a person transitions to the office of the president, any prior promise made to not speak about said president is no longer binding. 

President Trump is simply not the same entity as citizen Trump. The rights, protections and powers that apply to citizen Trump do not necessarily apply to president Trump.

In the US, a citizen can say almost anything they want about their politicians or their president, just the way Trump did about Barack Obama!  That’s how our founders wanted it here in the USA. And ​no one can agree to give away one’s constitutional rights. 

So even if the powers in control find the “hush” contr​act valid for citizen Trump, an agreement not to speak should not apply to a sitting president. There is support for this in our constitution, common law and contractual law.  

There could be another reason Stormy should be able to say whatever she wants about Trump: one cannot enforce an agreement to conceal a crime. I won’t pretend to know if trying to hide an affair three days before a presidential election was some sort of crime, or was part of some crime or pattern of crimes.  But it sure seems to be part of a cover-up, which is a crime.

Kindly consider these lines of logic and feel free to get back to me in solidarity and or get this to people where it can really matter. If it fails some sort of smell test I don​’​t know about, let me know so I can correct my blog entry with your knowledge of the law. 

Finally, it seems to me that if Stormy has something to say and leaks it all out in one publication, a million dollars would be cheap price to pay.  It could easily be raised from a few donors or a gofundme campaign.

Security Clearances – “Thick As Thieves” and The ‘CLEAN HOUSE’ Bill

Americans are worried that over thirty top staffers in the White House don’t have security clearance. What’s the point of vetting staffers if their boss, the president, refuses to be vetted and is suspect of being compromised by the Russians? …

Over thirty top staffers in the White House don’t have security clearance. Without uniform and thorough vetting processes, those who are privy to top secrets can be blackmailed by their past connections, crimes and embarrassing behavior. Well duh – but what’s the point of vetting staffers if their boss, the president, refuses to be vetted and is suspect of being compromise-able?

manchurian-bwDoes it occur to anyone that a US president should also be vetted for security? And yes, maybe they should be vetted before they are even allowed to be candidates. But that would be for 2020, I guess. For now, the president is actually the most important person in the US to be un-compromised and un-compromise-able.  Think about it. Without presidential vetting in place, we have created a safe space – a gun-free zone so to speak – for a potus to commit crimes and engage in self-dealing without reproach. And now that Kushner has been found using the White House to get large business loans, its clear that self-dealing was the intention of the president and his generals when they took office.  How rampant is this?  Very rampant! A dirty boss would want to surround himself with other like-minded criminals, so they are naturally loyal to each other. No Boy Scouts allowed. Thick as thieves, they used to say.

Does any senator or congressman or person have the guts to propose a bill that says “going forward, no one can work in the White House without security clearance, the president included.” That is in the public interest, is it not? Representatives are supposed to be working in the public interest. This is a damning failure in job performance and likely not to be advanced because many of them fear that scrutiny would expose their own crimes. 

Trump says he cares about protecting Americans. How is allowing insecure staffers get top secret info “caring” about security? It is not. So we must care for ourselves here. We can’t be stupid. Trump’s early campaign line was “How stupid are the people of Iowa?” Well America, how stupid are we going to be about security clearances in the White House or the Congress for that matter?

I want to propose a CLEAN HOUSE BILL. And we can state the exact vetting process by which ALL campaigners for high office, and even current office holders will be subject to. No exceptions. This is security. It must be applied to all with the exact same standards, regardless of the position of said vetted person, POTUS included.

Can someone please advance this notion in a bill, ASAP? With that in place, we would not need Mueller to investigate Russia to hold Trump accountable to some degree. I would think declaring 5 years of taxes would be part of any vetting process. It’s a new day. We must be smarter, or we will lose this democracy this year. 

Trump Is Buying the Government

Trump has been buying key people to escape justice for the crimes of espionage, money laundering and tax evasion. His modus operandi has always been to bribe or enrich certain key people to smooth the way for his crimes and projects. Right now, his only project of concern is avoiding prosecution for Russia. If he loses that battle, he loses his freedom and his family fortune. He’d rather sell the country out that have that happen. That’s why we don’t see any support to stop Russian meddling in 2018 or even implement a Russian sanction. They are his allies!  It’s not in his interest to sanction Russia as a criminal president – and he will need to stay in power to keep his fortune. And of course, if he sells Russia out, they will leak the whole ugly truth. He won’t love Wikileaks any more. 

Between the who are bought and those who are suborned, the US democracy does not have a chance unless Mueller delivers the whole truth before November or we vote out all sold-out politicians And since the crooked politicians know this, the 2018 election will be rigged again.  The Russian meddling is still going on and Trump is not even implementing the sanctions. He needs them more than he needs food. 

The Way Out Of This Mess

Trump’s projects must be stonewalled! I don’t care if Dreamers have to take a back seat for a short while. We won’t have a USA by year’s end if we don’t fix this now. So they will lose the US they love too unless we take decided action now.

#1 We don’t vote on a thing until the Russian sanctions are implemented.

#2 We don’t vote on a thing until Trump puts it in writing that he will not fire Rosenstein or Mueller without just cause, said cause to be determined by a court with many justices on a bench.

#3 We don’t vote on a thing until Jared Kushner and all Trump WH staffers are vetted by a thorough process conducted by the FBI. We can leave Trump out of this because it is sort of covered in #2.

Enough for today but one more thing.

Bernie and Biden should run together as a ticket and start campaigning now. No more Dem vs. Dem. These are our best, caring, well-spoken senior warriors. No women for POTUS this 2020 cycle. No ethnics either, I am sorry. We will need to appeal to Trump’s base people to some degree for one cycle. Once we win, anything is possible. But we must win in November. We can show the forgotten people that we care. And, if we keep our word to Trump’s base people and improve their lives, they will notice and we will be showered with two generations of loyal supporters. Trump’s base people actually are loyal, perhaps to a fault. That’s how we can take this country back and set it on a righteous course again. 

And I have just got word that my commission to make 500 political buttons that say VOTE THEM OUT in solidarity for the Parkland shootings, has gone through and I will have them soon. This is ultimately the way out of our mess. We vote out all sold-out politicians.

This November We Must Vote Out All Who Will Not Legislate For the Common Good

A good barometer of the viability of a society is its system of values. When values erode, the society either falls apart or is overtaken. This is exactly what happened in Rome. It’s not that “it can happen here”. It is happening here, right now.

We like the idea of limiting the firepower of the lunatic in North Korea, but we are giving lunatics in our homeland access to killing machines. This makes no sense.

#1 There’s plenty we can do to make our country safer without hurting hunters’ rights.  Automatic weapons are not, and should not be used to hunt animals. What kind of hunting sport is that? And yet we allow automatic weapons to get into the hands of people who kill people for sport. This is crazy America! A recent certified national poll shows that 70% of Americans favor an assault weapons ban.  Representatives who will not publicly state they are in favor of an assault weapons ban, must be voted out. Rubio – Trump – that means you – and plenty of others.

It’s now clear that there is a group of politicians who will even stoop to cheating at the polls with foreign bots posing as Americans. Our president will do nothing to change this. It is how and why he got there and he is compromised by his life of crime. So our numbers must be overwhelming this November.

Gun violence is also very expensive. The costs are 230 billion dollars a year – over $700,000,000 per day!   And it is surprising how few Americans would be negatively affected by an assault weapons ban. Besides Smith and Wesson there are about six other companies that make assault weapons. And then there is a small group of gun collectors who would have to surrender or sell their assault weapons to the police or armed forces. Weight that against $700 million a day and the loss of life and this is a no brainer.  

These businesses can not be valued more than the lives of our kids and citizens. We must now legislate for the common good and vote out all who stand in our way. POSSESSION of automatic weapons, NOT the PURCHASE of them, is what needs to be regulated or licensed, like we do for automobiles. Automobiles can be weapons, but guns are weapons and an assault rifle’s sole purpose is to kill mass numbers of people. Why does any civilian really need an automatic weapon? They don’t! 

Even if we had Minority Report pre-crime detection bots and took the Parkland shooter out ahead of the crime, it would not change the fact the we have a systemic disease here in the USA. And like a cancer, it’s going to grow and kill the host body if we don’t start the healing now. The medicine is voting out greedy politicians who won’t legislate what their constituents want. And 70% of Americans want an assault weapons ban. 

And gun maker’s profit protection is just one place our national body has disease. We also see its symptoms in the way our reps undermine healthcare for our citizens in exchange for kickbacks from insurance companies. GOP healthcare, if ever fully implemented, would kill far more people than 911. 

We hear its symptoms reflected in the words of our heartless president who offered lukewarm support for Puerto Ricans with memes like “you are messing with our budget” or “there are a lot of business-people who support the Jones Act”. I hear it is gangsta rap, where the lyrics often refer to being rich as being as the be all end all goal in life. I see it in the way people adore big stars, and then ignore the stars in their own communities. 

The underlying disease is all one: greed. This cancer, is now metastatic. It’s everywhere. Cutting out one infected organ will not cure us.

GREED starts with GR because, like many words that start with GR, it refers to GROWTH.(GARDEN, GRASS, GREAT, GRAND, etc.) Within greedy souls, GREED is a GROWTH that is out of control  – which is exactly what a cancer is. 

And yes, greed will always exist. It’s been witnessed and documented for over 5000 years.  Smart societies put checks and balances into law so that greed does not overrun their governments.  It’s popular to say “get the money out of politics”, but Citizen’s United gives money a larger voice than the actual citizens of our country.  Citizen’s United gives greed a platform to operate and grow here.  That’s neither right nor democratic. Citizen’s United must also go.

And we can do all this in November because it’s easy to spot the greedy politicians now. They are the same one’s who won’t publicly announce they are in favor of an assault weapons ban. They side with the NRA for personal greed, and they do the same on all issues. It’s who they are – and they can’t fool us now. 

It’s a strange irony that the word AMERICA contains two word-parts, AMORE and RICH.  America literally means “loves riches”: Ame-rica. Maybe it’s a self-perpetuating meme. Pardon my linguistic digression, but before Trump became POTUS this was my focus. 

So, I am not that interested in this single-cell Las Vegas or Parkland sicko. We should strive to cure our sickness the same way we fight a systemic cancer. It starts with diagnosis: recognizing the nature of our actual disease: we permit politicians’ greed to shape our lives and laws to the detriment of our citizens.

Donald Trump is a brand that symbolizes greed disease. His first campaign words were “of course you love me, I’m rich”. He learned most people have some level of greed disease from his casino-owner days. And as the gap between the wealthy and the poor grows here, there and everywhere, there will be more and more bad cells acting out – out of desperation. It’s sort of like a negative lottery. Given time, it’s bound to happen again and again. And it’s going to keep happening until we get money out politics or we succumb. 

It was not always that way, here in the USA. After WW11 the rich were taxed at a much higher rate than the poor so that stored capital naturally flowed into infrastructure and education, helping us all and making us naturally proud to be Americans – or US citizens. 

We must start our healing process now. And while kindness and prayers are fine for moral support, if they do not lead to actions they function like placebos.  We need thoughtful, caring legislation ASAP. The vast majority of Americans see no reason why anyone should be allowed to own an automatic weapon, or more than a few firearms to defend themselves. We are not against the second amendment. The vast majority of Americans see no reason Russian bots should be allowed on Facebook. But as long as greed governs in America,  the country that loves richesnothing will change.

Let’s focus on voting out the greedy in government in 2018.  The best thing we have here in the USA is national elections every two years. The next one is November 2018. We can’t afford to get distracted. We have no time to waste either. I sincerely believe 2018 is our last chance to save the ailing American society.

If for no other reason than to send out the messages that US citizens will no longer be governed by greed and that we realize greed in government is our national disease here in America, we must vote out infected ruling party members – at every level.

We can do this. The citizens who voted for Donald Trump wanted to vote out a broken system. They just were so blinded by their desire for change that they did not see that Trump was a charlatan. I have forgiven them. They mostly know they made a mistake by now. So those same voters can be enrolled to do that same thing again – to vote out a diseased system. 

We must assure that greed has no place in our government. When Citizen’s United falls apart under a new regime, it will begin to turn the tide of our systemic greed disease. 

And then maybe, slowly, the way you kill a cancer, we can return to the kind America I remember as a child. It was not perfect. No society is. But it was much more inclusive than what we have now. We had a visible path to a good life here, and many of us seized that path and have enjoyed that good life. I was lucky that way.

Now, our kids don’t even see the on-ramp to that path. We have let them down terribly. I am not a big D Democrat. Don’t paint me with that broad brush. I don’t care about parties. I care about the actual people who we elect. I wish there were no parties at all. Parties are part of the greed disease problem. I am a global citizen living in America. My homeland that I love is now governed by greed. It is killing us all and we all know it down deep. All I want is better for my kids. I’d like to the healing begin in my lifetime. 

A spiritual disease is being transmitted to Americans by man a who has been infected all his life. It’s very contagious. 2018 may be the last chance to save us from greed/envy disease. It is usually fatal to societies. 

These are the only two laws we need to keep our schools, churches and streets safe.

#1 LICENSE GUNS beyond the basic two. OWNING ( not buying ) unlicensed guns will be a serious federal crime. And yes, law enforcement agents will have the right to seize unlicensed guns. The loss of one’s gun can be the prime punishment. No sense attaching a huge dollar amount to it and scare people. Assault weapons do not belong in the hands of unlicensed people. That is the goal.

#2 ELIMINATE THE GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE.

Dem’s Blew It Again. Trump Reverses Memo Release. When Will They Get It? Trump Cheats To Win.

While I commend Schumer for showing a spine, this is NOT the time to back down! This is the time to add conditions – not remove them. I am about to reveal a 3-step strategy that cannot possibly lose.

We had Trump cornered in shutdown and did not take advantage of that temporary power we had. Plus, we did not even have to risk looking political for asking for the shutdown because Rand Paul did it for us! How stupid or timid are we? Trump will NEVER play by the rules. He never has. 

I have said this before, and it is even more important now. SUPPORT NOTHING TRUMP WANTS – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING – EVEN IF WE LIKE IT – UNTIL HE COMES CLEAN – which means :

#1 Release Democratic memo

#2 Implement Russian sanctions

#3 Agree to testify in person with Mueller  

Anything short of that, you do NOT support anything he asks for. Watch how he can;t get out of this choke hold. I have no idea why you don’t see this. Play hardball, or prepare to lose this country to Russia.

The following is relevant for historical reasons only. The moment has passed, but its strategy remains do-able with budget voting.

The government is due to shutdown again February 8th over the spending budget. This is NOT the time to back down! Trump’s border proposals are designed to make us look weak on immigration to his 35% base. We are the 65% now! We need a meme and message that exposes Trump as the traitor he is. We must draw a hard line in the sand re: transparency. Then we can use our terms- not DACA – which will happen for Dreamers anyway- when the government re-opens on our terms – in about a week.  We will explain how easy this really is to accomplish. Basics first.

Poli-Sci 101

People wonder what is keeping Trump in power. Yes, it’s it the complicit GOP, but they are influenced by their electoral math. The 35% base support for Trump nationally, is 70% base support within the GOP.  They can’t fight that. They don’t have the guts to be real patriots. And they need their jobs I guess. So we need to get that support number down to about 50%- 55% within the GOP to end the Trump presidency. That means we need to cut into that support by about 25% more. We believe this is easier than it seems to be right now. 

Trump appeals to folks who psychologically need strong courageous leaders. Actually, this is the original reason that humans decided to have leaders  – even within our tribal communities and back into the Stone Ages. It goes back to the animal kingdom, to wolf-pack organization. We choose alpha-male leaders to protect us from enemies. – human enemies – foreign tribes. We chose the physically strongest among us. What happens when an alpha-male is exposed as being weak? In the animal kingdom, he is quickly deposed – usually killed by the next in line or a group of them. Show Trump to be weak and his own will take him out!

The Solution to our Trump Problem Starts February 8th –  Shutdown #2 Day

All we need to do is make Trump look like the weakling he is at heart, like the draft dodger he was, when the government shuts down again. So we change the conditions to re-fund the government.  We temp shift the accent from DACA and Dreamers, which we come back to after he steps down in a week anyway. We shift the onus of refunding the government to him for being willing to sell out his country to Russia – which we all know is what happened – and being willing to keep the government down to protect his fortune – which is what is happening.  

It all comes down to the words we speak – and the timely memes we put out. We place new conditions to re-fund our government. We now insist that Trump be transparent to re-fund the government. We can say we need to make sure it is OUR government we are re-funding. Many have this insidious feeling that it is not our government any longer, that our representatives have sold out to a president who has himself sold out and/or has been compromised by our natural born enemy – the autocrat Vladimir Putin and Russia. 

We ask you to call your representatives and ask them to add one to two of these demands to refund the government. Find your own words. You can also add Dreamer protections of course, but that alone has been done and failed. By adding conditions, we come off stronger and Trump is exposed for who he is. We need citizens calling in all fifty states, but especially in New York and California, as those reps have the most power. 

FOUR CONDITIONS TO REFUND THE GOVERNMENT AFTER SHUTDOWN #2

#1 – We won’t talk refunding until Trump formally implements the Russian sanctions bill that he signed in August. It’s just sitting there stalled.  He was supposed to address that on the Monday, the 29th of January. We say to Trump: implement the Russian Sanctions Bill before we talk with you about re-funding the government again. His base does not love Russia! We ask to keep the government down until he deals with the Russian sanctions. 

When Trump says that’s a non starter ( and Trump will ) he shows himself to be a traitor right there? We put Russia and government shutdown in the same space. We won’t lose that fight. Dreamers vs. border security, furloughs and military – we can and already have lost. This meme is a win/win.

#2. The Democratic Memo – We insist that the Democratic version of the memo be released immediately in order to re-fund our government.  We all have this sense he’s not even going to do that. He will look like he is obstructing justice to his own base if he keeps the military waiting for their checks over this.  So let’s have him on record for not wanting to do this. If he does, pass and go to the next.

#3 –  We can add that we want him to meet with Mueller ASAP and/or promise that he will not fire Rosenstein or Mueller without legal cause and a impartial vetting process for that cause. It’s better of we make two demands at least. It gives them wiggle room but also makes us look stronger. We want to appeal to the alpha-make lovers in Trump’s base. I think that is what Dem’s miss so often. We already have our minds made up. We need to change other minds, and trump will do it for us if we lay this trap.   It won’t take but a few days. His military will be missing their paychecks and they will realize he is even willing to sell them out to keep his money and secrets. Then he is really done. We bury him right there. 

#4. When he delays on Mueller, we demand his taxes be released to open the government.  We spin the whole thing as if he is a traitor, because he has been a traitor – in many ways – and still behaves like one. And his base just needs to see that. We can help them see this. Its all just words and memes. This is easy. 

And it’s all a WIN/WIN/WIN for us. We win because we finally found a way to force Trump to do the right thing, and the public will see that. So now we win for being the strong alpha-males as well. And we win even if he says no I won’t implement the Russian Sanctions to refund the government. Then he is immediately done. We win no matter what he says. This is checkmate. 

Schumer/Feinstein/Schiff: We have him now and maybe you don’t see it.  Trump will play hardball. Stay two steps ahead of him. DACA is not an issue that will win out over the military being shut down. That is a game we won’t win in the long run. But, this double down game I am proposing cannot lose. His presidency could be over in a week. The idea is to make Trump seem like he is stalling for time, because of his own neck. His own GOP will impeach him and if they won’t the Blue Wave will drown them all in November and they have no counter move once these memes are out. They can lose their base over him not being open about taxes and Russia. Even his base wants this out. No one likes or wants a president sold out to Russia! This is your leverage this time – while shut down – expose HIM to be the traitor!

This is the outlandish and bold move we are waiting for. They are trying to shut down the FBI. Get a spine! Now! Let’s make the calls – and have this reach the ears of our reps in every state. 

We are better than Trump – all of us! And we are not in the minority.
