Why This Ukrainian Lie is Going to Stick with “Both Sides”

The Boy Who Cried Wolf is an age-old parable that describes the dangers of telling repeated lies. The boy is a shepherd in charge of a flock, and when he cries “Wolf!” the local hunters take him seriously and arrive to kill the wolf.

But the wolf is not there because the boy was lying all along. That works a few times. But finally, a real wolf appears and when the boy cries out for help, the hunters don’t take him seriously – and the boy is eaten by the wolf.

In effect, this is what is happening to Donald Trump after the lies he is spinning about the Ukrainian phone call incident. Why is this incident different from “Obama is from Kenya” or “She’s not my type”? Trump loyalists have had a lot of tolerance for his lies – 10,000 lies. But this lie is different for one big reason.

The boy who cried wolf was a shepherd. He had a responsibility. The hunters are a metaphor for the militia in today’s world. This Ukrainian lie has to do with military strategy vs. Russia! It’s not just election fixing, even though that is what Trump was trying to do by creating dirt on his opponent.

This Ukrainian lie is about $400 million dollars of taxpayer money that Congress had ear-marked to help a democratic country stay free from more Russian aggression. Both sides now sense this cavalier attitude towards lying can also endanger us here in the USA. No real American wants Russia to get stronger to our detriment. Not even MAGA folk want to go there.

We are beginning to see MAGA folk stray from their shepherd because they realize his lies can endanger their own lives. That’s why the hunters in the parable don’t respond to the boys cries for help. This lie crossed the line because it exposes Donald Trump, a man in charge of our national security, was ready and willing to sell us all out for his own purposes. Trump endangered our military strategy against Russia, a known enemy of democracy.

So now, Americans on both sides have seen the real danger of a president who lies, and many have simply had enough. More than 50% want Trump impeached now. It’s not only about this last lie. It’s about the sum of the lies. But this one was downright dangerous to our security. And that will be his undoing.

Trump Knew He Was Caught. Fired Dan Coates Three Days After the Call

The timing of three events this summer makes it clear Donald Trump knew he had been caught doing something very wrong.

Mueller testified July 24. It went over largely like a lead balloon. Feeling emboldened, Trump called the Ukrainian President on July 25th – they very next day – to ask him to collect dirt on the Bidens. He’s not wasting any time. He essentially reenacted the same crime he committed in 2016, enrolling foreign help to fix a national election, but this time he got caught red-handed. This was like OJ going back to reclaim his memorabilia after he got away with murder.

Three days later on July 28th, Dan Coates was fired. That is not a coincidence. Coates was the head of US Intelligence and not a Trump stooge. He should have known about the call made the the Ukraine. If he brought this to Trump and Trump asked him to keep it quiet – that would have resulted in his firing. And Trump likely was informed that the head of DNI needed to be someone he could get an allegiance pledge from. Joe McGuire may be a Trump stooge who has been bribed with funds placed in a foreign bank account – and he will not willingly let this dirt get out. He looks clean, but his actions are suspect.

Listen to what Putin said to a CBS reporter at a hockey game he plays in. Putin said with an undeniable smirk “Trump is acting in accordance with ( the laws of ) his own government”. And by acting, he meant taking action. “Trump is taking action in accordance with the laws of his own government”.

That is the only way to take over a country that is ruled by laws. You can use the loopholes and oversights in the current laws along with the many powers of the presidency to take over a country. Putin is Trump’s mentor, benefactor and his boss in international matters. This is also why we did not get the Helsinki meeting notes. Putin back-channels his autocrat lessons.

We have ourselves to blame for all this. When Trump fires a patriot to hire stooges – all I hear is the malarkey that “Trump deserves the cabinet he can work with”. Maybe an honest president does. But at some point we have to realize – like Putin says – we are letting a crook use our laws to drown this great country. Trumpism is like an auto-immune disease. We don’t recognize the threats because they masquerade as legal.

We gave him Barr without reserve. We’ve let Trump put whomever he wants into key positions. And of course that is all working to Trump’s benefit. Where is Trump getting this strategy? It all points to Vladimir Putin, the man who successfully turned a free Russia into his own privately owned kingdom in a very short time. Trump can’t plan ahead. He is too busy watching TV and golfing to be brilliant at anything – except crime. Enough!

Why The Time To Impeach is Now

Impeachment is a strange fruit. The process was made intentionally long and difficult. Both houses must be on board but more importantly both sides of the America electorate must be on board.

We’ve all seen the pressure come and go with Donald Trump with all his many scandals. From “Russia, if you’re listening” to Access Hollywood to Helsinki, from Charlottesville to sh*thole countries and much more.

But the scandals that stick on both sides are the ones the seem to put our country in jeopardy. Both sides did not like Helsinki because we all sensed Trump could be compromised to Russia when he said “Putin was very powerful”. Both sides know that Russia does not have American interests at heart. This gaff still sticks in our throats because it affects our sense of national security.

And now it appears that one day after Mueller* did his feeble national appearance, Trump took a victory lap and felt secure enough to start enrolling foreign powers to affect our national elections again. He felt he had totally gotten away with whatever he did in 2016 and he was on to doing the same thing 2020.

I put the asterisk next to Mueller’s name because he testifies Monday and maybe he knows that the reason Trump tried to bribe Ukraine was because he failed to reach the American public with his performance. He’s got another chance now – and Mueller now sees how his lukewarm performance emboldened Trump to do more of the same exact crimes he was investigating. I’m not holding my breath for Mueller, but he was once a warrior – and maybe that instinct will resurface.

#WhistleBlowerGate is a clear abuse of power by Donald Trump. But it’s also an abuse that compromises our national security by bugging our free election process. Both sides see that clearly now. And that is super important because public support on both sides is needed to ride the impeachment wave to the safety of the shore.

The time to impeach is now while both sides are united and feeling betrayed. And I mean this week. Timing is everything. Stalling will be Trump’s plan with this Ukraine thing. If we also stall it will just fizzle the necessary public support to conduct impeachment. This window will not stay open long. We should have learned that by now.

There is also this. MAGA folk do not respect sissies. And maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe it’s good that a portion of our electorate respects the traditional icon of a warrior leader. Maybe it’s built in to them for a reason. Maybe to protect us. So it has occurred to me that at least some MAGA folk are looking for a reason to dump Trump and just has not seen it yet from the left side. Show them strength and this movement can gather steam. Show them weakness and deliberation – and it will fizzle out. Biden seemed to know that today. Good work Joe.

I think we all are longing for that great American feeling of national unity and pride again. If we impeach now it might be closer than we think.

The Trumps and the Sacklers have something in common. Both families are now actively trying to hide their assets, wealth and tax reports from US government scrutiny by exporting their dollars to foreign bank accounts. It’s called money laundering.

The Sacklers are trying to avoid law suit payments to the people they have hurt and killed with their drugs. The Trumps have many other reasons to launder money. None of them are good.

It’s clear anyone who engages in money laundering knows it’s a crime and is okay with the risk of engaging in crimes for personal profit. A president who has crossed that line will continue to engage in crimes to cover up past and ongoing crimes. It’s quite a risky line to cross. Most citizens are honorable and would not even consider money laundering to save taxes.

This should also be clear. Any person who engages in money laundering does not deserve any public trust and does not deserve to be in any public office – let alone the highest office in the USA.

There are only a few subsets of people that are okay with money laundering.

The uber greedy. The Trumps are in that subset, along with the Sackers and the Jeffrey Epsteins of the world.
Lowly criminals – people trying to raise their wealth without caring about what laws or obstacles stand in their way. Paul Manafort would fit that bill. Donald Trump would have been in that subset in 1987 – when he owned a casino and did not want to pay his fair share of taxes. Russian mob players are in that subset too.
Dictators like Vladimir Putin, MBS and Chairman Kim.

Why would a dictator want or need to do money laundering? That is easy. Dictators all run kleptocracies.

When autocrats steal money and basic rights like free and fair elections from their own people they know they are committing crimes against humanity. They really don’t want to get caught. Autocrats may not be historians, but everyone knows what happened to Marie Antoinette and the Romanovs. So out of prudence, they hide their stolen money in foreign banks accounts so it’s safer from whatever laws and revolutionary forces might still exist in their own countries. They try to keep stolen money out of sight. They don’t want public outrage to get out of control.

For these reasons and others, all dictators are money launderers. There are long-standing financial support systems for money launderers. There is a network of banks that are friendly to money launderers in places like Cyprus, Panama, Switzerland and the Bahamas. This is not new. The Russian Mafia is one group of money launderers loyal to Russia, but they are not alone. This also why Trump does not show his taxes. The Trumps clearly have plenty to hide or they would release tax returns.

Putin, Chairmen Kim and Trump are currently operating as kleptomaniacs propped up by the seals and law enforcement agencies of their governments. What do you think the air force stopping at his golf resort was all about?

Many don’t know Vladimir Putin was elected in a democratic Russia. Once in power, in just a few years, he stole about 150 billion dollars, often killing his opponents. His next move was to declare Russia’s press, the Pravda was fake news. He shut Pravda down so he could continue to hide his crimes from the public. I’m sure Trump would like to shut down CNN and MSNBC.

Money launderers have a saying they operate by: They only know what you tell them. Trump said that once early in his presidency. It went right over everyone’s head. Not mine. I knew what that meant to Trump. I had heard it growing up in the jewelry business. For me, it was about how you “romance stones”. They only know what you tell them meant one could make up beautiful stories about jewels and that is all the customer would know. I never bought into that meme. I found a way to be honest about my selling. I was a Penn graduate – and had that dignity even as a young entrepreneur. But I knew it went on, and was effective. Truly, those who told the best stories sold better than I did. Trump bought into that meme.

This is exactly why Trump also says the press is the enemy of the people. A free press educates the public so that the truth is clear, Then the lies that an autocrat tells won’t take root in the public. Trump knows silencing the press worked for Putin. It also worked for Stalin and Hitler.

Yes. America is stronger than Russia was when Putin took over. But be aware: No country in all of history has ever been impervious to demise.

My fellow Americans, does any of this sound like what we want here in the USA?

The Russians have long had Trump’s back. Trump held Miss Universe pageants in Moscow. There were plans to build a Trump Tower Moscow. This is why Helsinki had that private meeting. They needed private space to talk about old money deals. This is also why Pompeo did not get invited in. Autocrats don’t want anyone to know the scope of their crimes. They only know what you tell them applies to all except the most inner family –members. In Trump’s case that’s Kushner, Don Jr. and Ivanka.

Putin has the dictator map (below) all figured out. He knows he can’t get China to align with Russia. But if he can get Trump and the USA – then essentially he has the balance of power over the entire globe. That is Putin’s plan. Trump functions as a useful idiot in that plan.

And now it’s up to us – Americans on both sides united – to stop the world’s autocrats grand plan because we know – what they want does not end well for any of us. Ask people living in Russia, North Korea or Venezuela how their dictatorships are working for them. You know that answer. We know that answer, We have never wanted that for the USA since day one in 1776.

Trump is a player in what is called the Russian Mafia.Putin is its kingpin.Putin can seize Trump’s Russian-parked money if Trump does not help Putin secure his money in the US. It’s quid pro quo. They have each other’s backs. Criminals work that way.

Paul Manafort was overheard asking if getting Trump elected would square a debt with a Russian oligarch. That’s a quid pro quo. Trump is just as guilty as Manafort when it comes to financial crimes. They all play this game together. As long as they can keep their foreign bank accounts hidden – this will continue.

This is the real problem on the planet. Not terrorism. Not even hunger. Those are both driven by the greedy money launderers’ plans and we have ways to address these problems if only we can throw off the yokes of the autocrats.

Money laundering criminals are the masterminds behind most of the physical crimes against humanity.Now that group includes the druglord Sacklers.

In Russia, everyone knows Putin is a criminal dictator. They are mostly okay with it. They have no choice. Voicing opposition is dangerous. But in the USA, a criminal president is not okay. We still have a free press in spite of Trump’s calls of “fake news”.

I’m not so sure about the justice system. Trump main accomplishment so far has been installing administrators and justices that are corruptible. We all saw Trump appointing a loyalist to be AG – so why we allowed without forcing Barr recuse himself seemed stupid and naive. Having justices on your side is a huge advantage for any dictator. Trump knows how Putin took Russia.

And Putin has a huge advantage in the spy vs. spy game. Putin can tell Trump exactly what to say and do. If Trump does not comply, the dirt Putin has on Trump can be leaked and/or his assets in Russia could be seized. The private Helsinki meeting was also about Putin “powerfully” explaining to Trump what will happen if he does not live up to his end of the bargain made for Putin’s 2016 election help. That’s why we didn’t get the notes.

Americans and GOP particularly, know this. Coddle autocrats at our own risk. Autocrats always have back-up plans. And those could include war, catastrophe that forces martial law, hacking the grid on Election Day and/or the fixing of elections.

The GOP is okay with all this crime because they know they can’t win an honest presidential election in 2020. So it is our job as US and global citizens to raise our voices and vote out the GOP at every level.

If we only accomplish only those two things – we can get back to addressing the real monsters in the room – climate change and income inequality.

G7 Leaders: We Need Your Help Now the Way You Needed the USA in 1943

It’s time for Macron and Merkel to help America our the way we did for them in WW2. Trump needs to turn the USA into an autocracy to keep his stolen money safe from those he has robbed, which is essentially the American Commonwealth.

Please tell Donald Trump, who is himself sold out to big oil, that you want no part of a G7 meeting at his golf resort. He is making a laughing stock out of your mission anyway. You would do us a favor to just say the USA is out until Trump is gone. And there is a good chance that Trump will not be in office next year anyway.

One bold statement on the world stage now would do as much for the USA and democracy that out troops did at Dunkirk. It’s time to pay that debt forward. I hope you will consider this.

Donald Trump. If you really want the G7 at Doral then do it legally. Sell the club. Not to family. Then you will be fine with this. Of course, no one expects you to do the right thing for the USA. Not your thing. Never was – was it?

Having just offered to buy Greenland, Donald Trump is headed off for the G7 as if he belongs there with well-intended leaders and scientists. I just wonder why he is even being allowed to go make his presence there. Is the G7 no longer a serious venture?

Our planet needs climate coordination more than ever now, and the G7 leaders are allowing the POTUS, a major climate denier, to show up and spout his destructive memes on the world stage? It makes no sense.

To the G7 leaders: If you are serious about global warming, blackball Donald Trump from the G7 now or at the first sign that he wants to be a bull in your china shop.

It’s not too late. In fact, letting the Trumps take the trip only to be turned away would be exactly what the Trumps deserves. Shaming him on the world stage will actually help the GOP sellouts turn on Trump. They are privately getting warm to the idea. But they are mostly cowards. Make it easier for them.

If Trump can’t be seen to have a shot at winning in 2020, the GOP will stray – and soon. And if we get rid of Trump, then your work at the G7 becomes more do-able. So sending the Trumps from G7 may save the work of the G7. And it would makes you look serious about the tasks ahead. It’s a win/win.

G7 leaders: Help your American friends. The timing is good now, especially after Greenland. It’s cyber war. This won’t take bullets. Just words. The dignity and holiness of the G7 agenda will be severely undercut by the mere presence of the Trumps at the G7 meetings. Macron: you have no idea how weak you look embracing Donald Trump. Trump does not respect his office of presidency, so what does it say when you show him respect?

Democracy and science are now under attack. It is one basic attack – on truth. This attack is antithetical to the G7 mission. You should not allow one the major attackers to be part of your serious work. You would be “koshering” a major science denier and devaluing the sincerity of the G7.

A cyber-attack was launched in 2015 by money launderers partnering with big corporations. Their goals are to hide their financial crimes while they steer the world back-in-time towards an oligarchy, where money alone rules. This path will be detrimental to all 7 billion global citizens.

Words are the weapons in a cyber war. – Remaining silent is to accept defeat.

Donald Trump has made it clear he is fully willing to steer the world on a path to oblivion as long as he can keep his ill-got money and stay out of jail for his crimes over the years. If Trump he can’t win in 2020, he may blow the whole thing up trying.

There are now many here in the USA who want Trump out asap, even within the GOP. G7 world leaders can help in that effort with a statement they can fashion in their own words along these lines.

I would like to hear something like this from Macron:

After Donald Trump became president, it soon became clear he was willing to lie to his own people on a daily basis. If Trump is willing to lie to his own people to “win”, as he calls it, then how can he be trusted to keep his deals and former agreements with foreigners?   

The conclusion that I, and most world leaders, have reached is Donald Trump cannot be trusted to be honorable.  He has proven that over and over again, first as a citizen and now as the US president.

Therefore we are not going allow the Trumps to take part in the G7 meetings. We will wait for 2021 or for Americans to come to their senses.

Something like that needs to be heard from Angela Merkel, Emmanuel Macron – and other respected world leaders. America now could use some help from the world stage leaders, the same way we helped Europe 75 years ago

We are living in a world community now. Words started this war. Words can end it. .

I am asking all global citizens to contact their presidents and senators. Let’s get this done. Blackball the Trumps for the G7 meetings and then get down to real work.

The mad, maniacal drama we are witnessing since Trump took the helm is the exact opposite of the cool-handed leadership we sorely need right now. Trump is like a hot fuse in a room filled with nitroglycerin. A simple unintended accident now and the word goes boom.

All it will take to win this war of words, is words. No bombs, no bullets, no troops. We need influential people to deliver some thoughtful heartfelt words on the world stage.

GOP politicians here will soon realize they will be voted out of power in 2020. And they will turn on Trump. Help them see how fatally doomed the Trump agenda is. Speak out now. The world is watching.

The Etymology of Elizabeth Warren

One of my favorite things to do is to explain to people what their names meant on the day it was first created and used. So this is for Elizabeth Warren and all the Elizabeths out there. Such a beautiful name.

Break Elizabeth down into 3 parts: E + LIS(A)+ BETH

As in e pluribus unum – the e means “out of” and often acts as a prefix in a word. The e-vening comes (vene) the the E-ast (stars. <ast-rology>) – as stars appear in the East first at night.

LIZ is LIGHT! The tongue moves UP when saying LI. That upwards motion was made with our arms before we became speakers. Talk replaces body sign as the main mode of communication about 100,000 years ago – in Africa – when we were hunter/gatherers.

So we have E-LIZ as from light. But there’s a tad more here. LI also heads up words like LI-BRARY or LITE-RATURE. What’s going on with that? It seems there was an ancient association between LIGHT and WORDS. You’ve heard the biblical saying “spread the light” – and we all know that means spread the word. Further, the Hebrew wORd for light is OR and there is a Nordic?English word AURA which is basically the same sound. Then there is ORAL – also about wORds. OR was created because people were trying to mimic ROUND (O) energy (r). So you can see these wORds all tie together conceptually.

That leaves us with BETH which is the Hebrew word for HOUSE. – We see that in BETH-LEHEM ( House of Bread ) and Beth Israel ( House of Israel ).

ELIZABETH means: from the house of light, from the lighthouse or from the house of words (or library). Very studious name. Very apropos.

Now Warren is a completely different word. We see WAR as its main part. The REN suffix is an old construct for denoting plurality. Living examples are CHILDREN and BRETHREN. The R is similar to the S in that they both can be held out for long times. It’ s why they are next to each other in the alphabet. People used to know this stuff. I’m just spreading the light of the ancients here.

Elizabeth Warren – a fighter or many wars who fights with words and light! Wow. Maybe she grew into that name!

Can We Stop Our President from Spewing Hate?

I went swimming today at the new El Segundo outdoor pool outside Los Angeles. There was a diverse racial mix at the pool. As I looked around the pool, I thought about what happened in Texas – and I was grateful. We Angelinos have a long history of not making race a divisive issue in our communities. And that helps Los Angeles be one of the greatest cities to live in on the planet. It dawned on me right there: racial tension is a very expensive commodity for both the targets and the haters.

If people can’t work together in harmony, commerce suffers which affects real estate values. Why is a home in Los Angeles so much pricier than in most other American cities? Some say supply and demand. But on the demand side, it’s assets like proximity to commerce and access to opportunity, education and creature comforts that makes Los Angeles expensive. Racial harmony plays a big part in those demand-side factors.

Indeed, racial harmony would be an asset to any community. El Paso has been living proof of that for many years. So I wonder why Donald Trump has not learned that yet – by age seventy-three. Yes, Trump started his business career as a slumlord in the 70’s and they often learn a sort of business-related racial bias. But this is 2019. It seems to me that fostering an attitude of love and acceptance for others is not only what all our religions teach – it’s also smart business. Does he simply not care about his enemies, even if they are American citizens? Is that not a violation of his oath to protect and serve all Americans?

Add this up. Donald Trump must know it’s not in his interest to fail as president – but he keeps up the hateful rhetoric. Perhaps Donald Trump is actually trying to divide the United States? It sure looks and sounds that way. And if he is actively doing this, for whom – and to what end for Americans?

If we think Trump ends with the next election, I say Trump already knows that’s how he is supposed to be removed from power. He also knows he has committed serious crimes that a new regime will likely prosecute. That means Trump will do his best to make sure there’s not going to be a fair election. Trump has shown his cards. He has no respect for elections or laws. Nothing is off this table. Maybe he’ll have us fighting in the streets by then and the election will be put off until he can figure out “what the hell is going on?”

After El Paso, I am also very concerned that part of Trump’s motive in promoting hate is to push someone in the immigrant community over the edge to commit a heinous crime that all Americans will detest. Think one step ahead of this maniac. Let’s get that word out. Because if that happens, Trump can strike back with some semblance of moral authority. If Trump keeps up his divisive rhetoric, you can be sure this is his goal. He may even set the crime up. Nothing is off his table.

In the end, racism is just bad business and very contagious. Love is smart business and also contagious. That’s what America must decide ASAP. I see no reason to wait for an election to decide who we are as Americans.

It’s time someone in the House advances a law that prohibits politicians from inciting or targeting any group of Americans with hate speech? When Trump says the fake news is the enemy of the people, that is a violation of his presidential oath. Reporters are US citizens – and his words are endangering them. The penalty for clear repeated violation of this oath must be enforced removal from office.

After what we have been through this summer, if we allow the President of the United States to continue to instigate racism and hate, maybe America is the real sh*thole country.

Trump also knows you win elections in the last 10 days. So this all just gets more dangerous as we approach Election Day 2020.

We Need WW2 Teamwork Again Now

Let’s show the American people we can unite our party. Both sides will respect that. After all, if we cant unite the “left” how can we unite the country?

We are at war in the USA. We are at war with foreign enemies that want to exploit our riches. We are at war with Trump’s GOP party that sells our rights and assets to the highest bidders. And at the same time, we are at war with each other – which will make it very difficult for any side to prevail in any effort.

I am old enough to remember first-hand the spirit of the WW2 generation. They were not the greed is good generation nor the it’s all about me generation. The greatest generation citizens resigned to do their parts to defeat German Nationalism with a spirit of teamwork and without ego. Now we have a combination of corporatism and American Nationalism to defeat.

We all know there’s an election in 2020. Trump knows exactly how long he has to completely take this government over – from the justice department installations to the election fixing with our enemies. Trump is working every day to have our democracy be gone before the 2020 election. Why? Trump knows the term that follows his presidential term may be a prison term.

I still see a way to get the current GOP Senate to vote to impeach Trump, but only after the Dems change the way they are running their campaigns . Some GOP senators are now whispering privately they want to abandon Trump. Let’s show those same GOP senators if they keep Trump as their figurehead they’ll have no shot in 2020. That’s the big idea here.

Teamwork

The viable candidates and those who really want to work to save this country should meet in a room and settle on who will be the Democratic candidates for president, vice president, chief of staff and district attorney. Then our Team America pools resources and gets to work – not only to beat Trump – but to show the American people what they can do for the citizens of the USA.

Will this surprise tactic of running for president with a VP and cabinet in place – work? How can it not work?

The optics are spectacular. Instead of 20 candidates telling undecided American voters why they are best for the top job – we present one well-prepared team, ready on day one to get the actual jobs done for all Americans.

Even MAGA people will go for that. They know they are being lied to. They just don’t know who will be there for them on our side because right now we don’t even know. They will remain tuned out to our overtures until we decide. Till next July? Really? It will be too late by then.

The big idea is to not preach to the choir and get GOP constituents in red states liking what they are seeing and hearing. Imagine a team energetic candidates all campaigning simultaneously for the ideas we need to transform this country. That's never been seen here before. It's like Trump that way - powerful out-of-the-box strategy. (You got to give him that.)

Now imagine the same-old, same-old – what we have now. More debates after-which we neither learn much nor convert voters to our common causes. More circular firing squads. And all the while, Trump team – from Kelly Anne to Bill Barr – speaks in unison. We are strategically handicapped because we play by rules, conventions and traditions while Trump does not. If we had fought WW2 this way, we’d all be speaking German here today.

I realize not every candidate will want to leave their current position to work in the 2021 cabinet that leads America into a modern future. But they can be offered posts. I sense a job for Michele Obama in Team America too.

There’s no room for it’s all about me now.

Why Donald Trump and the GOP are Complicit in America’s Mass Shooting Problem

The threat to our domestic tranquility will remain very high until we remove Donald Trump from office. Caring historians warned us Charlottesville marked the beginning of racist hate events that could spiral out of control like it did in Nazi Germany. So let’s be clear.

Donald Trump is not acting like or serving as our president. Trump acts like who he is – an uncaring, inept, criminal thug who cooperated with our enemies to steal the 2016 election and now occupies the White House by virtue of that theft. The manipulation of the 2016 election was the biggest theft in the history of our country.

Trump now needs to stay in power so he is never tried for his crimes against humanity. The same can be said for Putin, Kim and MBS. They all need to stay in power for life so they are not tried for their crimes. And they work their hardest at that one goal. Trump is taking lessons from the dictators. They may have him compromised as well.

I have outlined a simple plan to get Trump out of office by this CHRISTMAS. It is not rocket science. We don’t even need to protest in the streets. The Democrat Party candidates should surrender their egos and collectively decide by this September who will be the face of the Democratic movement to reset our country back on the path of hope and excellence that is the true American way.

The Dem candidate should designate as many positions as possible, including VP and DA right away. That will give all Americans who have been siding with Trump a chance to see another path forward clearly. As the MAGA people peel away from Trump, the GOP in the Senate will start abandoning their blind support for the nightmare president we have now.

Another original and fresh idea would be to make all political rallies illegal except during the last six months before an election. Canada and many other countries have laws like this. (Link) Trump rallies are riling up the haters in our country. And a president is supposed to be working for us, not campaigning while office anyway. And I guess, sorry for Bernie and the others – but press conferences will do the job of messaging better anyway. I’m not saying to stop protests or marches, just none with a candidate headliner until the last six months. These days, politicians start campaigning immediately after taking office. It’s ridiculous. It’s not governing. It’s divisive.

To protect Americans from further violence, we also need to get Congress back in session immediately to legislate for gun licensing and a buy-back program for automatic weapons. That is what the vast majority American people want anyway. That will send a message to Trump that he and his GOP party will be paying a price for Trump’s uncaring, un-presidential behavior. And I can’t imagine the public outrage if the GOP still try to block gun law reform – or try to mitigate its importance.

When the GOP sees that price being exacted- they may drop Trump altogether. Many would like to abandon Trump now, but don’t see a another way forward. They are mostly spineless and many are in on Trump’s money deals. I am certain Barr was paid for this loyalty. When Trump declared at the Rose Garden that he wished Barr a wonderful life, that was his Mafia don way of confirming his unwritten two-way loyalty agreement with Barr.

But we can get to the swamp cleaning after 2020. If we swiftly legislate and pass the gun laws Americans want – it will impact the GOP support for Donald Trump. And our Trump problem may fade away sooner rather than later. And that changes everything. I see no reason Trump should even be allowed to run again in 2020. States should also make it illegal to be on the ballot without showing taxes.

There are many ways to get Trump out of office and insure he is not part of the 2020 election in any way. That would be smart. Let’s see if America is capable of being smart again.

July 28th, 2019 - With the firing of Dan Coats, Trump's war on the truth about his Russian allies escalates to a new level. This is now a full on war on all Americans. We can no longer trust Trump's people to protect us. We never could. But everyone who cares about preserving a free America knows this now. 

This post outlines a strategy to get Trump out ... by Christmas. Please read and think this through. There is not a day to waste. The attitude of all Americans must be: Teamwork. No egos. The Democratic Convention is not until July 2020. That is way too long of a wait to show the MAGA people what we will do for them. Once they see a better way forward, they will peel off supporting a party that takes advantage of people. 

MAGA people, this is for you too. No harsh feelings. We were both fooled by the election shenanigans of 2016.

It's okay. Water under the bridge. Let's work together for a few months and we both can get what we want. There's still plenty of money to share and invest into infrastructure, education & healthcare  - making all our lives better.

People know when they are being ignored. And that’s exactly how Democrat leaning citizens will feel while Dems take a summer break now when we need to focus most. We are under attack and our sitting president is doing less than ignoring it – he is denying it! We are under attack and the Dems are enjoying recess. What is the difference? People will either feel ignored or that the threat must not be so dangerous.

Right now, 70% of Democratic constituents want impeachment. The one thing that really needs to be understood is why on Earth MAGA people are not also up in arms against Trump. He’s not doing much for them. His party wants to take away their pre-existing conditions. Trump tariffed farmers and told them to stick it out. His national debt is skyrocketing. He’s ignoring our environment. This is not good for either “side”.

There are many theories about why MAGA folk stick with Trump. It’s too easy to say that Trump’s base are all racists so they stay with him for that. But farmers aren’t usually racist haters. They are nature people. That does not seem right. MAGA people truly don’t want a swampy administration, filled with graft and with ties to Russia. They just need to see someone on the Dem side that appeals to their sense of what a leader is.

MAGA folk don’t like sissies. They prefer the part of the Bible that says “an eye for an eye” over “turn the other cheek”. What the Pelosi Dems miss is we will gain MAGA support if we act with seeming strength- as that is what they liked in Trump in the first place over Hillary! Everyone is missing that. The classic, age-old image of a warrior is what some people look for in a president. A group that can;t even decide to out a traitor is not going to be respected by the MAGA folk OR the Dems long run. How do we miss this?

THE STRATEGY

Put ourselves in the shoes of Trump supporters. MAGA folk mostly know something’s not right with Donald Trump. He’s certainly not like them. But what choices are the Dems offering them now? Trump is all about photo-ops and sound bites. Dems don’t have one man’s man at the top of a platform to win over the disaffected MAGA people. They are not going to switch for Pelosi – top Dem now – face it. She was the original misogynist target before Hillary. They won’t switch for 20 assorted candidates. Why should they? We still might end up nominating someone they can’t tolerate. (Thinking in MAGA shoes.)

And therein lies the reason we are not getting on to removal of Donald Trump from office. Timing! It’s not Trump’s stonewalling as much as we currently have neither a coordinated ticket, agenda, platform nor war room. Trump has all of this. Putin has this. But we have 20 candidates who are about to fight with each other in debates.

During WW2 we all worked as a team to defeat a known enemy.  We have a known enemy now. We need that WW2 teamwork and no-egos mentality back.

MAGA people won’t support Pelosi (or likely any woman) who does not seem to know her place aside a man. It’s how they view things. Set that aside. We can’t afford idealism now. Next cycle it should be fine. But we are about to lose our democracy over this guy. We cannot afford to ignore the misogyny and racial predispositions within the general population.

And even some of the men on the Dem side seem to have a feminine side. MAGA people also won’t switch for a Chuck Schumer. MAGA people just want a man who does not seem to have much of a feminine side. I know it’s weird. But it’s why they tolerate Trump even though they know he went into high school girls locker rooms – just to get off on it.

It’s also why they like Biden, Bernie and weirdly Mayor Pete – who, even though he is gay, speaks with undeniable masculine authority.

So the big idea is to get to Biden or Bernie to officially be our candidate sooner – and not later. And let’s not forget how Hillary disconnected from her supporters and did not choose Bernie as VP, squandering all that heartfelt support. We should agree to choose our candidate and VP from the 20 candidates in September. That is actually the simple and full fix for the Trump problem. This post aims to make that clear.

I know it's not the way things are usually done here. But they let Roosevelt be POTUS for 4 terms because the times demanded it.

Our candidate should select his VP immediately upon confirmation. And it’s probably smart if the VP is a woman. MAGA people are okay with a man’s man working with a woman aside him – like a family. Remember. It’s about appearances for the MAGA people. They have their reasons. It’s why they broke for Trump. Respect that.

MAGA people will begin to drift from Trump as soon as they see another man’s man running who seems to care about them. And we have a few of them right now. And when MAGA folk begin to abandon Trump, what do you think the GOP politicians will do? That’s right! They are going to drop him and fast.

And when they do that Trump won’t even make it to the end of his term. Impeachment can be confirmed in the Senate and Trump can be removed from office within a few months – by Christmas. Done.

But it can only happen a few months after we first show MAGA people who we are running and what we can do for them. If we wait too long, there will be too much damage. Trump is the most expensive president we’ve ever had – primarily because he needs to tear us apart (Putin’s orders) to stay in power.

Another year of tearing us apart and there is bound to be an incident that Trump says – and Barr confirms – requires martial law here. They will set it up if need be. That will slowly become Trump’s goal. A trapped rat will bite.

Also note: This is how Putin took over his democracy in Russia. Trump is getting back-channel schooling in becoming a dictator. It’s why he loves Kim too. He loves the way these guys screw everybody and get away with it. It’s cool to him. I use cool because I know this guy. From Penn and AC. He is my peer - my generation. And you can’t fool your peers. Can your peers fool you?

Getting Trump out by Christmas will also curtail what we are going to have to endure whether Trump loses – or wins. Michael Cohen was not kidding. Trump is not going to go for a smooth transition of power. Trump knows the term that follow his presidential term is a prison term.

When the Dems go on vacation, Trump will have the mic to himself. This cancer has spread folks. And the doctors want to go on vacation? It makes no sense. I don’t think there is a day to waste until we choose a candidate – develop our own war room and get Trump indicted.

Trump worked with the Russians to win a election. We now have no election protection because the guy who stole the last election controls the election machinery and justice department. Wake up!

Biden has the iconic face we need to promote the policies we all want and need. Others can formulate policies to benefit all Americans. Warren has detailed many great plans. Harris should be offered DA. She can be the one that puts all the crooks in the past administration in jail. Poetic justice. Why not Inslee for EPA? There is a job for all these candidates, if indeed they want to help their fellow Americans.

And if all they wanted to do is be president – they will say no – and that’s fine too. I suspect a few of them are in that boat. I call this Team America. We don’t just need one president. We need real WW2 style teamwork. Is that so hard? It isn’t! What we are doing is much harder and may fail. This cannot fail. No egos. Teamwork.

This should happen soon! This way all American citizens that want to preserve our democracy have a team to support right now. There are plenty of MAGA people that would like to abandon Trump, but we are taking way too long to show them an alternate plan and president. Why spread the money and support around? It’s weakening us right now – when we need strength.

We now have 20 assorted candidates struggling for power – all with the same basic message. Trump has Barr, Pence McConnell, Graham, Nunez, Miller, Kushner and plenty of other sycophants all on one coordinated team. I know this is the system we have, but it’s really stupid to stick with something that is not working when you are in a war. – And we are definitely in a war now – with Russia and our own sold out swamp creatures. All because you don’t hear the bombs dropping does not mean we are not under attack. We are in a cyber war and we have everything to lose. Let that sink in.

And we have no idea how or when Russia will strike next. Will they hit the electric grid? Will they hit our banking or voting systems? We can only play defense because we have no offense. – This is also why Pelosi has been wrong about not starting impeachment ASAP. We are gambling with everything – every day Trump is in power. It’s like we’re willing to risk a negative lottery. We really don’t know if the sirens will start blaring tonight – do we?

Like Trump, Putin also has no quit button. They are ruthless, money laundering criminals with the power of their donors, judicial systems, media machines – and they have the guns! We know what we are up against.

We really can’t afford to wait until 2020 to have a candidate. We need to get to one candidate with a pre-selected VP and DA – asap. If we choose right the MAGA people will peel off, then the GOP reps will follow – and Donald Trump will swiftly get what he deserves. Then we can begin to take our government back from the money laundering swamp creatures that have it now.

Notice: For Ilhan Omar and All Politicians

Dear Ilhan: I see how people who know you love you. Welcome home. I don’t want what I am about to say to be taken the wrong way, but I do wish you would allow yourself to be seen without your native hijab at least once on public television.

Why do I advise this strategy? You have become Trump’s 2020 Hillary – his scapegoat. And with one speech, you have a chance to shut Trump’s hate campaign down! I know it sounds crazy, but please follow along. You got close with your message on Thursday.

Seasoned politicians know they must always consider how they are seen by others. They seek to create policies that support the majority of Americans because they know they are in the business of caring for Americans. Those who know and support you are more than okay with your head dress. But you must know there are some that are actually afraid of that hijab look. It’s sad, stupid, unfair, unfounded and mostly cowardly. But it’s also a reality in today’s polarized environment. Trump is using your hat, not you, as a visual to paint you as “the other”. For his uneducated supporters, it’s going to work!

100-squad-hijab Because you are never seen without the hijab, people figure you are orthodox and upholding this old school Islamic tradition. It feels like what the Amish do. They police modesty with traditional clothing. However, it’s also clear the hijab was created to stifle some part of a woman’s freedom, eve if only to dictate modesty to them. So even people who support your right to dress anyway you want, as I do – may view your hijab as a weak spot – a loyalty to something few Americans can identify with.

The more important thing to realize is that the hijab actually scares some reasonable percentage of Americans. These might view the hijab the way you might view a swastika.

And that’s why smart politicians learn to blend in. Why would they want to scare any people? And now I am going to show you how to use people’s irrational fear of your hijab to dismantle the Trump hate campaign in one press conference. But let me go on a minute more here about how you are seen by some people that are not Muslim.

People who are not orthodox, religious and atheists ( that sums to a huge percentage of all Americans these days ) are often the most tolerant, but they all have made the choice to not believe too strongly in deities. – So it’s clear you believe in something that they don’t believe in. It’s okay with them, but all people are more easily persuaded by those that they feel they know fully and trust. That’s why advertisers choose people who look like their audience to deliver messages. It’s common sense.

So if you are never seen without a hijab – regardless of your reasons – it feels like some part of you is stuck in a tradition that clearly was not born here. It’s the hijab – not you – not your darker skin tone – that Trump is attacking. And his base is sucking it up.

I also don’t think politicians should wear one’s religion on one’s sleeve, because we have a clear division of religion and government here – unlike in the Middle East. Our politicians mostly all have religions they belong to. But you can’t tell what religion they align with by the way they dress. They don’t flaunt their religions. And that is just smart.

Further, religious people first subjugate themselves to rules of men and gods created long ago by people who could not possibly know our modern world. (That’s the born-again humanist in me coming out. Please tolerate that opinion. It’s not easy for a free thinker like me to say this.) I know all American people have a right to worship a god and take part in traditions. But politicians have a primary loyalty to the people they serve and they have to be smart about things that everyday people don’t have to reckon with.

aside – about me – Though I was born Jewish, my adult-self evolved. I became a humanist. I believe in the sovereignty and goodness of well-intended thinking humans. I see these different deities primarily serve to divide us. There has never been scientific proof of one god’s existence. And we certainly need to get back to science to see the planet any more. Free thinkers believe our own eye’s and minds and can work to make the world a better place for all humans.

Look at Israel and the Middle East. How is religion in government helping that situation out? It’s not! It’s causing the tensions. If you can’t empathize with those Americans who might see you as a foreigner whose ultimate loyalty is to a god – which by definition is not the American people, how can you expect them to empathize with or for you?

What would be the cost for a temporary olive branch sent to those who see you as a foreigner? Some pride. Some principle. But nothing beyond your personal ego really. The world is bigger than any of our egos.

We now all know you are the squad member that inspired Trump to call you all foreigners. And it’s because of the hijab. You have to know that. That’s what sets you apart from the others – and all other Congresspeople.

And we can’t be about ego now. Think WW2 gen. No egos. You are in public service now and we have a crisis. That means you should be doing your best to reach all Americans – even those who are overly reactive to or afraid of foreign appearances. And Ilhan, we have them here in the USA. Further, fear of the other is a human ( and animal ) instinct. It’s a survival instinct. It’s not going away. Time to be smart.

And yes, I am sure you have got threats from that hating bunch. You should always think John Lennon or Abe Lincoln. The hate is out there. You can’t make it go away overnight. – And people of that ilk will need to learn to like you who if you are to reach them with your ideas. That can happen over time or even overnight. But sometimes you have to be the bigger person so to speak.

Trump knows that hijab is your weak spot. Certainly not your pretty face and spirit. Take the target down at least a few days. Do something they won’t expect! So important right now while the camera is on you.

So this is the strategy.

#1. ANNOUNCE A PRESS CONFERENCE – Everyone will be there. Fox too.

#2. SHOCK THE WORLD AND DO THIS SANS HIJAB. But the hijab should be there on the podium!

#3. Find your own way to say this.

I have called this press conference because I am appalled at the way Donald Trump is creating and pumping out messages of hate about duly elected, hard-working, female Congresspeople. All Americans should be appalled by his hateful words.

You see me here today for the first time without wearing my traditional hijab. i am not doing this for my supporters and constituents. They are okay with me for who I am.

I have taken the hijab off today for the people who are receptive to Trump’s messages of hate. I want you to see that I am just like any other American woman – or American black woman. In fact, I believe that we are all the same – regardless of race religion or age. We all want the same things. We all want a productive life filled with love, family friends and accomplishments. We want to stay in good health for as long as we can – and when we are not well – we want good care. We want access to good education. We want to enjoy healthy clean water and food.

I take this hijab off today because I sincerely believe some Trump supporters are literally afraid of this hat. Well here it is. The hijab is just a tradition to remind women that modesty is a proper way of being. That is something Donald Trump never learned growing up as a privileged spoiled child in the Bronx. Trump embodies the opposite of modesty. The Amish people also have such a tradition and dress “plain” for that reason. Are you afraid of Amish people?

Then go on to round out your statement. The idea is to call Trump and his followers cowards – without using that word. So it’s more of a “what are you afraid of” statement you want to make. State your weight if need be. You are not anything to be afraid of. Make them love you for that moment.

After this you can go back to hijab – but this press conference will embarrass Trump supporters so deeply you may reach them. You want them to see you and say to themselves – why is Trump making us hate this woman who has so much good inside her?

When you get that message across – without a hijab – they will hear you – and it will penetrate. Then Trump won’t be able to SELL HIS SUPPORTERS on MESSAGES OF HATE again. You will have shut it all down. It’s a King’s New Clothes moment. You will have exposed his tactic. And even MAGA people won’t like looking like they are afraid of a young woman with a soft voice and non-threatening appearance.

You alone can do this now! But before Mueller speaks. Then the news cycle changes.

I am Jewish. The women sometimes wear wigs for the same reason. These cover-up traditions were likely created by men who want to control their women. Telling a woman what to wear – is by its nature not progressive right there. It’s darn close to telling a women she can’t have an abortion too. It’s reminiscent of Sharia law as well. It’s not helping your ability to be an effective public service.

We need all of you Ilhan. Your hijab is the source of Trump’s you hate America meme and the send them back meme. You need to realize that and then decide to do something about it.

Think of you not wearing a hijab for 10 minutes as a man putting on a tie occasionally to fit in. Look on TV. Every news caster, every politician – is a bit in costume. You stick out. You want to stick your for your voice – not your foreign looks. The other SQUAD members are POC but look like Americans.

Your name – OMAR – means “word” in Hebrew. I imagine it means word in Somali too. I wrote a book on etymology – Deciphering the English Code. I see how all languages connect to a more basic physical language that we used before we learned to speak about 100,000 years ago – in Africa! Yes, English began in Africa – but the English quashed that knowledge 1000 years ago in the Crusades – a “religious” war. I see how we are all the same. Religions that separate us really bug me because we have to get past this to survive as a species.

OMAR. Break it apart to O + MAR. The MAR is the same as in MAR-A-LAGO and MARINE. At first it appears to be about water. But think also MIRAGE, MIRROR and ADMIRE. The MR sound is linked to WATER and VISION. Now look at this. SEA and SEE. ( water and vision ) OCEAN and OCULAR. ( water and vision ) WATCH and WATER. DRAW and DRINK.

How are water and vision connected? Well before MIRRORS we had to look in water to see our own faces. Imagine that! It has been the reality of mankind for 100,000 years.
The O in OMAR represents just what it does in your mouth – roundness – fullness. Words were thought as as fuller vision. And they are.

There is also a connection between words and light. That’s why it’s LI-brary and LITE-rature. It’s why ORAL sounds like AURA. I really like my book. I’d like to send you one upon request.

So OMAR, we need to hear your words coming form your mind – and not distracted by the appearance of traditional religious thinking. You are young still. You may evolve yourself in time to become a humanist. But right now, letting go of that crutch ( as I see it ) or your religious freedom ( as you see it ) – for 10 minutes – just so people can see you are capable doing this for the good of the country – would help the cause of the SQUAD and the American people you serve – quite a bit.

You are becoming the thing the haters will vote against. You are becoming Trump’s 2020 Hillary. We don’t need that. I hope you see that. And that is endangering our democracy and the planet.
