DeSantis signed a bill banning teachers from talking about sex to kids K-3rd grade. Why not have a bill baning them from whipping out their dicks or tits to show them in a science lesson?

Yes, I use that as a teaching moment. This is yet another GOP bill trying to fix a problem that can be handled by common sense and existing channels. If teachers are pervs ( and there are always some small minority of such people ) there are – and always have been – ways to get rid of them. Parents can ask their kids about their teachers. They can meet their child’s teachers at PTA’s or open houses. They can be real hands-on parents. No new law was needed for that. A teacher that talks about any aspect of sex to a child under age 10, is crossing a line. My K-4 grade school teachers would have said ” it’s the birds and the bees and you cant ask your parents about that”. About 5th grade, teaching sex education starts making sense as a science.
The DeSantis “Don’t Say Gay” bill was not put in place to stop a new rising flood of teachers that want to teach sex to kids under age of eight. That’s not going on. The members of the GOP in Congress do not care about “kids” or they would have got rid of AK-45’s in the general public after Sandy Hook. Ask DeSantis and the GOP in Florida how they voted on AK-45s in the general public after the Stoneman-Douglas shootings. They did nothing and made sure the Dems did not as well.
Most GOP in Congress are sick people for staying in that club after they refused to change gun laws after Sandy Hook. I will NEVER forget that. So don’t tell me they worry about kids in schools learning about sex. The GOP are okay with kids getting SHOT DEAD in their schools or they would have done something about the weapons that add to the number of dead when poeple go nuts. The GOP in Congress are the real pervs.
The DeSantis Bill is another way to create a sub-group of voters and give them a reason to vote for him – as if he cares about the parents or the kids. He only cares about staying in power because he’s got a grift system in place and he’s milking it every day – just like Trump did as POTUS and all his life. The GOP all want to be Donald Trumps – except Liz Cheney and a few others.
Here’s more recent proof that the GOP in Congress* don’t give a rat’s ass about the health or well-being of American children. The American Rescue Plan gave monthly child allowances ($300 per child under six, and $250 per child from six through 17 ) during the pandemic. Most parents really needed it. Even before the pandemic, child poverty had reached post-depression records in the USA – largely because the GOP refuse to tax billionaires. Families were in trouble, burdened with deepening debt and missed payments. Most were living paycheck to paycheck – so if they lost they job in the pandmic, they and their kids could be plunged into poverty. But every single Republican in both the House and Senate voted against the measure!
This is what DeSantis did for gun laws in Florida. He banned laws limiting regulations vs AK-45s.
Nothing good ever comes intentionally from a dark heart. The GOP in Congress have shown us their black hearts – over and over.
People on the right like to say NEVER FORGET when it comes to the 911 attack. That’s fine. But how do they then support insurrection that aimed to do the same thing that the 911 terrorists and Putin wanted: the end of American democracy? I’d rather we never forget Sandy Hook and the refusal to restrict AK-45s after that massacre. It was the last straw for me ever supporting a GOP in Congress.
*GOP – I say GOP in Congress because I am aware that there are GOP leaning citizens that are not in favor of AK-45s being in the general public – and may not be evil people.
America has devolved into an armed war camp, a state we used regard with pity when observed in other countries. It is time to take steps the first steps to end America’s armed standoff. Please note that neither mass shootings nor police violence happen as frequently in any other first world country. We have seen forty-five mass shootings and several unnecessary police killings in the last 30 days. It begs the question: is the United States a first-world country anymore?
The way I see it, police violence and citizen’s gun violence are two sides of same coin. That coin is lethal weapons in the hands of scared and/or unhinged humans.
The cycle of violence starts with citizen vs. citizen crimes. Those crimes instruct a nation to create a force to protect its citizens. That force needed must exceed the force in the hands of the criminals.
In the United States, there are now more guns than citizens and that includes children and infants. The US is the only country on earth with that sad statistic and no large country stats are even close. And most Americans realize this is not a good problem to have. In Japan, a densely populated modern country, there is only one gun per three hundred citizens.
In the USA, police are rightly afraid of its citizens. So for those who say we have a police violence versus people of color problem, while I won’t disagree, the problem begins and is compounded because police don’t know what Americans have unlicensed guns any more. Yes, police are often a bit trigger happy, but it’s largely because they are rightfully afraid for their own lives. That fear is higher where police patrol people they don’t know and live among. It certainly makes the case for police looking more like the people they patrol. It is worth noting that in England, where there is one gun per 22 citizens, regular officers only carry Tasers and batons.
Police will always use the “I was scared for my life” excuse, when they cross the line that separates policing and murder, even if they were not. This is never going to change. It’s natural to fear lethal force. Reducing arms in the hands of citizens, and the mortal fear on the policing side will follow. That is natural too.
Since police are only needed because citizens pose dangers to other citizens, we must start with lowering the number of guns in the hands the free radicals in our citizenry. The chart above seems to indicate a reduction of arms by 70% would put the United States in line with countries like Germany.
We know the GOP congressmen always side with the NRA. If Sandy Hook couldn’t bend their cold souls, nothing will. But they are ignoring the will of their constituents now and their constituents know it. There are voting cycles every two years. The constituency of GOP congressmen is one target to educate.
I do not buy the “work with the other side” meme. The other side is now a criminal organization selling Americans out for profit. They don’t work for the American people. They work for themselves the way their leader, Donald Trump, did. The trick for the Biden Administration will be to not come off like they’re coming for our guns. That is just too easy a meme for the GOP to exploit
Licensing All Guns and Gun Holders
Aside from automatic weapons, which should all be bought back immediately, every other gun or rifle should only be in the hands of licensed gun holders. Every car is assigned to a licensed driver. We can certainly do the same for machines designed to kill people. We should know where very gun is. A national gun registry is a necessity now for the public’s welfare. We cannot let interpretations of the Constitution’s Second Amendment stand in the way of the public good, or we will descend further into darkness. After all, the Constitution was written to make life better for Americans.
Most of all Americans support bans on high-capacity magazines, assault-style weapon buybacks and bans, background checks, removal of loopholes and common-sense gun solutions. The resistance to common sense gun violence solutions comes primarily from gun makers, their paid lobbyists, GOP congressmen, and the few citizens who like things the way they are for their own selfish reasons. Their profits, amusements and nefarious plans are not worth more than our lives.
We license cars and drivers. Passing one’s driver’s test has become a rite of passage into adulthood these days. I suggest we follow that model for gun owners, focusing on training, mental health, and the social media posts of applicants. The idea of owning a gun as a right must be replaced with the idea that gun ownership is a privilege to be earned. Being a licensed gun owner should be something one can be proud of again. Licensing gun holders will create the method to review the stability, maturity, and the motives of gun holders. In for no other reason, focus on the innocent children that would be alive today had we taken these steps long ago.
We can and will continue the push to have them voted out in 2022. But I think we have a path to act faster than that. Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia, arrested the black Congresswoman, Park Cannon, for knocking on his door while he was signing a voter suppression bill. Why are we not arresting GOP congressmen? We have more cause than knocking on a door. Those that support the Big Lie are in direct violation to the Constitution’s 14th Amendment. And that discussion follows here:
Joe Biden just said he won’t demand that his DA prosecute the Trumps for federal crimes. However, he left an out for prosecution. He’s on record saying his DA will have free reign to pursue justice. Eventually, his DA will have to decide whether the evidence against the Trumps demands the pursuit of justice. Let’s get a head start on wrapping our heads around this enigma.
Right now, we can all feel Donald Trump easing up a tad on his assault on democracy. He’s talking to himself, the way he does, and some meme has begun to whisper in his ear: “maybe I can get away with this, after all”. Frankly, a lot of Trump’s desire to stay on as POTUS for life was based on his fear of what life for post-presidential citizen Trump would be like. So, as he sees a path forward, he reasons he can afford to ease up on his fight to be an autocrat. That’s a plus.
Forgiving the sins of a post-presidential citizen is a US tradition, not a law. Another tradition goes along with forgiving-the-ex. For the good of the country,ex-presidents stay out of politics, totally. That’s the unspoken bargain that’s been made between all American ex-presidents and our active presidents.
The Bidens should communicate this fully to the Trumps. The Clintons and Bushes should weigh in too. Back room communication is fine. The Trumps don’t like playing by traditions. But if the Trumps play by this one tradition, and just go back to hotels and branding, there is at least some reason for a DA to look the other way on what may have been colluding with the enemy in the 2016 campaign by the Trump Organization.
If Donald or his children keep up the divisive political rhetoric while another president is trying to unify the country, that should undo the post-presidential peace treaty between the presidents. But it’s more than that.
Divisive rhetoric is a threat to our country’s security. Cyber has become the new way to war, and words are the weapons. We have statistics that show that people act out when leaders cast others as the enemy. Racially charged rhetoric and the categorization of groups of people as enemies, so normalized in the Trump presidency, must end on January 20th for the good of the country. If it doesn’t, we’ll have one more reason to prosecute the Trumps – national security.
Past presidents have chosen to lay low for the public good. Once that tradition is ignored by an ex-president who is also simultaneously inciting division, it rekindles our need to find the motive for any citizen actively dividing Americans. It then becomes logical to probe into the inciter’s past activity and see if there is a personal motive or pattern of behavior inspired by a foreign or domestic cult or cell that is intent on dividing or harming America.
The option to prosecute for unresolved past crimes must remain open in any proper justice department because we are creatures of habit. Past activity becomes future activity. If prosecuting the Trumps for past crimes becomes necessary to protect America, we will likely know shortly after January 20th. But Donald Trump should think very hard about pretending he is still president, even to his base, after January 2oth.
Questions remain. Will Trump give up his love affair with his own self and the show he puts on for his base and fully retire from politics? It would be good for America. It would also be for his own good. Prosecutors will have a harder time going after citizen Trump if his behavior becomes benign.
Donald has a good time at hoteling and is pretty good at it too. The vaccine should rescue travel and hotel businesses. Once people can travel safely, they’ll want to let go. The Roaring 20’s followed the pandemic of 2018-19. He’s got plenty to look forward to without playing politics. We will see – soon.
If Donald Trump were not president I would have spent the last 3.5 years doing much more of what I wanted to do before I realized this country was in big trouble. How about you?

Joe Biden essentially won the Democratic Party’s nomination in one unbelievable turn of events that occurred on March 2nd between 4 and 5 PM PST. When Pete Buttigieg announced he was pulling out of the race to endorse Joe, he made a truly touching speech. Pete’s speech was followed by Joe’s speech, wherein he he said Pete reminded him of departed son Beau. It choked me up. I am sure I was not alone. And that’s the moment I knew Joe was going to win the nomination. And I knew why: Joe has heart.
“Heart” is what Donald Trump is so glaringly lacking. And we all – on both sides – suddenly realized that undeniable truth and how important having heart is during an emergency. For the record, Hillary also seemed to lack heart. That’s really why she lost. Great speeches and ideas don’t mean as much as sincerity, because we all know how easy it is to lie or make claims that won’t get done when stumping to win votes. I also felt Elizabeth Warren, when she attacked Bloomberg, a man willing to bankroll the entire Democratic Party just to get rid of Donald Trump, showed a lack of heart in the way she attacked him on the debate stage. And I love Warren’s ideas.
I know Clyburn’s endorsement set the pendulum in motion days before Pete’s endorsement. But it was Joe’s heartfelt manner which suddenly felt like the thing we have been missing for 4 years since Trump-ism took hold on the airwaves. And it was so welcome that it changed everything. Joe shined that light without even trying. He was being sincere. And we miss sincerity here in the USA on both sides. Don’t we?
When I entered the business world in 1972 I still recall my father telling me people will give you a chance to win them over as long as you come off with sincerity. And since this blog was originally intended to be about etymology – or wordology – as I like to call it – let me break down the word SINCERE for you in my own unique wordology way.
SIN and SINE are known old Latin words for “without”. CERE is the root of the word CEREBRAL or HEAD. SINCERE means without thought ( for one’s self).
And on that standard Donald Trump has failed miserably to come off as sincere. In fact, Trump seems to do everything with only thought’s for his own self. Donald Trump exudes the polar opposite of sincerity. That’s why he is known as a narcissist. He has always been that way too. Even in college, where I knew him (Penn 67) , he was the original “it’s all about me” guy. He threw a rushing sophomore out of a mixer for dancing the mashed potatoes better than he could and getting all the girl attention.
Trump’s badly botched coronavirus speech reminded us all he is not the right person to manage a health crisis. Since he has surrounded himself with self-serving sycophants, Trump does not have anyone close to him who can really be trusted to lead us out of this mess. His heartless GOP just tried to knock down a House bill to provide sick leave for people affected by corona. I think they realize how bad that sounded and are back-tracking to fund a deal. But it’s more out of financial necessity than from heart. Their dark hearts have already been exposed. And yes, November seems like an eternity to wait for new leadership. The stock market seemed to know that too.
On the other hand, Joe Biden will surround himself with real, time-tested experts – the way our government used to function under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan and before. Why am I sure of this? Because Joe Biden actually cares about others and he cares about his legacy as a public servant. The idea of serving the public is totally foreign to Donald Trump and his GOP sycophants.
There will be a lot of work needed to undo the damage done in four years by an inept, uncaring, heartless man who cheated to win an election and then ran the US government like a piggy bank for his own family interests. But right now, we have a country to save.
When you come down to it, Trump is just a pin-up doll for the Citizens United folks who wants big business to have more power than people. Those days are coming to an end. We have a unifying principle now – surviving a pandemic.
Practice social distancing. Vote Blue up and down.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf is an age-old parable that describes the dangers of telling repeated lies. The boy is a shepherd in charge of a flock, and when he cries “Wolf!” the local hunters take him seriously and arrive to kill the wolf.
But the wolf
is not there because the boy was lying all along. That works a few times. But finally,
a real wolf appears and when the boy cries out for help, the hunters don’t take
him seriously – and the boy is eaten by the wolf.
In effect, this
is what is happening to Donald Trump after the lies he is spinning about the Ukrainian
phone call incident. Why is this incident different from “Obama is from Kenya”
or “She’s not my type”? Trump loyalists have had a lot of tolerance for his
lies – 10,000 lies. But this lie is different for one big reason.
The boy who
cried wolf was a shepherd. He had a responsibility. The hunters are a metaphor
for the militia in today’s world. This Ukrainian lie has to do with military
strategy vs. Russia! It’s not just election fixing, even though that is what Trump
was trying to do by creating dirt on his opponent.
This Ukrainian
lie is about $400 million dollars of taxpayer money that Congress had
ear-marked to help a democratic country stay free from more Russian aggression.
Both sides now sense this cavalier attitude towards lying can also
endanger us here in the USA. No real American wants Russia to get stronger
to our detriment. Not even MAGA folk want to go there.
We are beginning to see MAGA folk stray from their shepherd because they realize his lies can endanger their own lives. That’s why the hunters in the parable don’t respond to the boys cries for help. This lie crossed the line because it exposes Donald Trump, a man in charge of our national security, was ready and willing to sell us all out for his own purposes. Trump endangered our military strategy against Russia, a known enemy of democracy.
So now, Americans on both sides have seen the real danger of a president who lies, and many have simply had enough. More than 50% want Trump impeached now. It’s not only about this last lie. It’s about the sum of the lies. But this one was downright dangerous to our security. And that will be his undoing.
It’s time for Macron and Merkel to help America our the way we did for them in WW2. Trump needs to turn the USA into an autocracy to keep his stolen money safe from those he has robbed, which is essentially the American Commonwealth.
Please tell Donald Trump, who is himself sold out to big oil, that you want no part of a G7 meeting at his golf resort. He is making a laughing stock out of your mission anyway. You would do us a favor to just say the USA is out until Trump is gone. And there is a good chance that Trump will not be in office next year anyway.
One bold statement on the world stage now would do as much for the USA and democracy that out troops did at Dunkirk. It’s time to pay that debt forward. I hope you will consider this.
Donald Trump. If you really want the G7 at Doral then do it legally. Sell the club. Not to family. Then you will be fine with this. Of course, no one expects you to do the right thing for the USA. Not your thing. Never was – was it?

Having just offered to buy Greenland, Donald Trump is headed off for the G7 as if he belongs there with well-intended leaders and scientists. I just wonder why he is even being allowed to go make his presence there. Is the G7 no longer a serious venture?
Our planet needs climate coordination more than ever now, and the G7 leaders are allowing the POTUS, a major climate denier, to show up and spout his destructive memes on the world stage? It makes no sense.
To the G7 leaders: If you are serious about global warming, blackball Donald Trump from the G7 now or at the first sign that he wants to be a bull in your china shop.
It’s not too late. In fact, letting the Trumps take the trip only to be turned away would be exactly what the Trumps deserves. Shaming him on the world stage will actually help the GOP sellouts turn on Trump. They are privately getting warm to the idea. But they are mostly cowards. Make it easier for them.
If Trump can’t be seen to have a shot at winning in 2020, the GOP will stray – and soon. And if we get rid of Trump, then your work at the G7 becomes more do-able. So sending the Trumps from G7 may save the work of the G7. And it would makes you look serious about the tasks ahead. It’s a win/win.
G7 leaders: Help your American friends. The timing is good now, especially after Greenland. It’s cyber war. This won’t take bullets. Just words. The dignity and holiness of the G7 agenda will be severely undercut by the mere presence of the Trumps at the G7 meetings. Macron: you have no idea how weak you look embracing Donald Trump. Trump does not respect his office of presidency, so what does it say when you show him respect?
Democracy and science are now under attack. It is one basic attack – on truth. This attack is antithetical to the G7 mission. You should not allow one the major attackers to be part of your serious work. You would be “koshering” a major science denier and devaluing the sincerity of the G7.
A cyber-attack was launched in 2015 by money launderers partnering with big corporations. Their goals are to hide their financial crimes while they steer the world back-in-time towards an oligarchy, where money alone rules. This path will be detrimental to all 7 billion global citizens.
Words are the weapons in a cyber war. – Remaining silent is to accept defeat.
Donald Trump has made it clear he is fully willing to steer the world on a path to oblivion as long as he can keep his ill-got money and stay out of jail for his crimes over the years. If Trump he can’t win in 2020, he may blow the whole thing up trying.
There are
now many here in the USA who want Trump out asap, even within the
GOP. G7 world leaders can help in that effort with a statement they can
fashion in their own words along these lines.
I would like to hear something like this from Macron:
After Donald Trump became president, it soon became clear he was willing to lie to his own people on a daily basis. If Trump is willing to lie to his own people to “win”, as he calls it, then how can he be trusted to keep his deals and former agreements with foreigners?
The conclusion that I, and most world leaders, have reached is Donald Trump cannot be trustedto be honorable. He has proven that over and over again, first as a citizen and now as the US president.
Therefore we are not going allow the Trumps to take part in the G7 meetings. We will wait for 2021 or for Americans to come to their senses.
Something like that needs to be heard from Angela Merkel, Emmanuel Macron – and other respected world leaders. America now could use some help from the world stage leaders, the same way we helped Europe 75 years ago
We are living in a world community now. Words started this war. Words can end it. .
I am asking all global citizens to contact their presidents and senators. Let’s get this done. Blackball the Trumps for the G7 meetings and then get down to real work.
The mad, maniacal drama we are witnessing since
Trump took the helm is the exact opposite of the cool-handed leadership we
sorely need right now. Trump is like a hot fuse in a room filled with
nitroglycerin. A simple unintended accident now and the word goes boom.
All it will take to win this war of words, is words. No bombs, no bullets, no troops. We need influential people to deliver some thoughtful heartfelt words on the world stage.
GOP politicians here will soon realize they will be voted out of power in 2020. And they will turn on Trump. Help them see how fatally doomed the Trump agenda is. Speak out now. The world is watching.

I went swimming today at the new El Segundo outdoor pool outside Los Angeles. There was a diverse racial mix at the pool. As I looked around the pool, I thought about what happened in Texas – and I was grateful. We Angelinos have a long history of not making race a divisive issue in our communities. And that helps Los Angeles be one of the greatest cities to live in on the planet. It dawned on me right there: racial tension is a very expensive commodity for both the targets and the haters.
If people can’t work together in harmony, commerce suffers which affects real estate values. Why is a home in Los Angeles so much pricier than in most other American cities? Some say supply and demand. But on the demand side, it’s assets like proximity to commerce and access to opportunity, education and creature comforts that makes Los Angeles expensive. Racial harmony plays a big part in those demand-side factors.
Indeed, racial harmony would be an asset to any community. El Paso has been living proof of that for many years. So I wonder why Donald Trump has not learned that yet – by age seventy-three. Yes, Trump started his business career as a slumlord in the 70’s and they often learn a sort of business-related racial bias. But this is 2019. It seems to me that fostering an attitude of love and acceptance for others is not only what all our religions teach – it’s also smart business. Does he simply not care about his enemies, even if they are American citizens? Is that not a violation of his oath to protect and serve all Americans?
Add
this up. Donald Trump must know it’s not in his interest to fail as president –
but he keeps up the hateful rhetoric. Perhaps Donald Trump is actually trying to divide the United States? It
sure looks and sounds that way. And if he is actively doing this, for whom –
and to what end for Americans?
If
we think Trump ends with the next election, I say Trump already knows that’s
how he is supposed to be removed from power. He also knows he has committed
serious crimes that a new regime will likely prosecute. That means Trump will
do his best to make sure there’s not going to be a fair election. Trump has
shown his cards. He has no respect for elections or laws. Nothing is off this
table. Maybe he’ll have us fighting in the streets by then and the election
will be put off until he can figure out “what the hell is going on?”
After El Paso, I am also very concerned that part of Trump’s motive in promoting hate is to push someone in the immigrant community over the edge to commit a heinous crime that all Americans will detest. Think one step ahead of this maniac. Let’s get that word out. Because if that happens, Trump can strike back with some semblance of moral authority. If Trump keeps up his divisive rhetoric, you can be sure this is his goal. He may even set the crime up. Nothing is off his table.
In the end, racism is just bad business and very contagious. Love is smart business and also contagious. That’s what America must decide ASAP. I see no reason to wait for an election to decide who we are as Americans.
It’s time someone in the House advances a law that prohibits politicians from inciting or targeting any group of Americans with hate speech? When Trump says the fake news is the enemy of the people, that is a violation of his presidential oath. Reporters are US citizens – and his words are endangering them. The penalty for clear repeated violation of this oath must be enforced removal from office.
After what we have been through this summer, if we allow the President of the United States to continue to instigate racism and hate, maybe America is the real sh*thole country.
Trump also knows you win elections in the last 10 days. So this all just gets more dangerous as we approach Election Day 2020.

Whether or not what the Trumps did in the 2016 election will be deemed illegal by the Special Counsel, I think all Americans can agree we just can’t have foreign governments influencing our elections. The American electorate has a right to the whole truth about the 2016 election. Free and fair elections has defined America since we began. It’s our calling card.
It’s been pretty obvious to most Americans that something does not feel right about Donald Trump. I don’t care what “side” you have been on. He lies right to our faces with no shame. He wants chaos and is a divider not a uniter. He wants to keep secrets from us. We can’t see his taxes. He won’t even let us see the notes of his meeting with Putin – whom we know has nothing good in mind for the USA. What is Trump hiding from us and why?
TAX EVASION
The Trump family has been engaged in tax evasion for over 50 years. The Southern District of New York reported the Trump family has avoided 500 million in taxes. Trump’s sister, a judge, resigned April 2019 when she found out the Judicial Review Board was going to look into her taxes. The Trumps are, first and foremost, a familyof financial criminals. It is their original sin.
Trump knows what crimes against this country he has committed. So he knows how important it is to stay in power. Once his presidency is over it will be impossible for him to avoid justice, which will be very costly to him and his family. After all, they are primarily robbers. When they don’t pay their taxes, they force others to pay more taxes. It’s like Trump is picking all our pockets.
Why is the GOP allowing this to continue? Trump has even turned their once conservative agenda into right-wing extremism. And that cost the real GOP dearly in 2018. What do they expect to happen in 2020? They can’t win an honest election almost anywhere now. So they Gerrymander and nominate candidates who run their own election boards. In North Carolina, they outright threw opposing votes into the trash bin.
There are about 200 GOP reps in the House and 55 out of 100 in the Senate are GOP. The crucial margin of 5 in the Senate is enough to allow them to install judges that will rule for Trump. So it comes down to less than 10 people in this entire country that are setting the agenda for the other 300 million. And that is ridiculous.
I was exposed the philosophies of the survivors of the Great Depression growing up in NY, NJ and Miami. I was exposed to them, but I did not accept them for my life. Trump did. And every now and then he leaks out little pieces of those “gems” in his news conferences.
While campaigning in Iowa in 2016 he said to a cheering crowd, “Wow. They love me. Of course they love me. I’m rich. I’m very very rich.”
This was Trump reminding himself that people can be bought. His entire administration is packed with people who either need or want more money. And if they are loyal to Trump, he will promise them “ a good life.”
At the Rose Garden he barked out to Bill Barr, “I hope you have a great life.” So, getting people to align themselves with Trump’s private agenda through bribery is one ace in Trump’s game. So there’s no shortage of would-be-crooks in the Trump administration. In fact, if he finds out you are not easy to buy off, he will fire you. That’s exactly what happened to Tillerson, Sessions and Comey. ( That list is much longer now. ) No Boy Scouts can be allowed to stay on in the Trump administration because crooks need to be aligned more than honest people. One rat can sink their ship.
How many swamp creatures does Trump have to buy to stay in power and skirt justice? About thirteen people. The swing votes in Congress, Mitch , Mnuchen, Ross, Barr, Pence and a few SCOTUS judges. Thirteen well-positioned people can hold up an entire country -sort of like the Greeks at Thermopylae. Does that seem smart to you?
Think back. At some time, Donald Trump had not signed that Russian sanctions bill approved by his GOP Congress sitting on his desk for months – even though it was to his political benefit to sign it. And yet, he did not sign it. Why? There is only one plausible reason – because he could not. Trump has clearly been suborned by the very powerful Vladimir Putin.
Our government does nothing about any of this because the crucial swing vote leaders are in on the deal. They all have dirt on each other. That’s why they swear allegiance to each other. The GOP are thick as thieves and they know it.
Trump and his inner circle soldiers (many of whom are indicted and in jail) colluded with Russian spies to try and win a federal election. And now they sit in power, suborned and forced to side with the Russian political agendas (not ours) as payback for services rendered. If they don’t, Putin can leak the full unabashed truth about what he knows and totally sink Donald Trump and the entire Trump GOP. Why would Putin care?
So this president can not and will not ever serve faithfully as a US president, even if he wanted to. And there’s never been any evidence that Trump has wanted to serve our country. And this is the hardest part. It would be one thing if it were only Trump. But the entire executive branch must also be suborned. Trump fires the few who refuse to swear allegiance.
Regardless of our political affiliation or lack thereof, what we now share is a thoroughly dangerous security crisis. We have a coup of about 13 people who are holding the best interests of our country hostage so that the biggest thief in their circle can escape justice. Michael Cohen said, he does not think Trump will surrender power even if he loses the 2020 election. Myself, I am not even sure there will be an honest 2020 election. It’s that serious to Trump.
In the interest of national security, Trump should be stripped of critical powers until he shows his taxes.
The House now has the power and duty to do oversight as a check and balance to runaway power. That is 100% constitutional. Trump’s not going to supply his taxes anyway. He does not care about the law. He feels he cannot be indicted while in office. He intends to stay in office for life if he can. I’ve been saying this since the day he was elected. Trump’s been in bed with Russian money launderers since the 1980’s and his cash cow casinos.
Trump should not be allowed to pardon anyone associated with him or his campaign. He should be stripped of his war powers as well. Note that today, April 12th 2019, it is reported that Trump told a border official to break the law and he would pardon him! This is him getting caught bribing people. What you don’t realize this is how he operates every single day! Wake up!
There is currently neither enough confidence in Donald Trump, or in any of Trump’s cabinet members to efficiently run our government in a way that is truly focused on improving or protecting the lives of ordinary Americans. Nor are we assured that all or most of the executive branch members are not part of a suborned group of unwittingly Russian-aligned politicians, to whom we have just given the keys to our weapon systems. This is foolish and very dangerous!
We have way too much at stake here to gamble on Trump’s claims of innocence – or fake media. Both citizen and president Trump have repeatedly shown they can’t be trusted to be honorable.
Until we are confident Trump has our interest at heart, Trump’s war and pardon powers should immediately be taken away.Congress must now have to sole power to make war. The sheer numbers of people in Congress will serve a safety valve in this interim period. American safety must be an extra high priority now.
We know that he knows that wars and crisis tend to shut down internal investigations. We cannot be rule out that a war or crisis will be created by Trump to keep Trump and his cronies in power. We see they are capable of doing anything for their own interests. We can’t have a suborned executive branch. And seems to be the case.
Time is not our friend here. 2019 in the real make or break year for American democracy. Waiting for 2020 is a fool’s game. The GOP believe we will sit by and accept the 2020 election result. But they intend to fix that election or create a situation where the election is suspended.
As to why this is happening, it all goes back to financial criminals, tax evasion, greed and power. But it’s not just a USA problem. Putin and other dictators operate the same way Trump does. There is a brotherhood of criminal dictators. Trump is in that brotherhood. And when these criminals can make the laws and appoint judges that’s how a democracy dies. And Trump has enrolled his armed militia within his base to become criminals for him as well. This means the USA won’t be a democracy again, until we get rid of Donald Trump.
