1. Logging into WordPress

Welcome to the first step of managing your new WordPress website! Logging into your WordPress dashboard is essential for updating content, managing settings, and customising your site. Here’s a simple guide to help you log in and get started.

Step 1: Accessing the Login Page

To log into your WordPress site, you need to visit the login page. You can do this by adding /wp-admin to the end of your website's URL.

For example, if your website address is www.example.com, you’ll go to: www.example.com/wp-admin

Step 2: Entering Your Login Details

Once you’ve reached the login page, you’ll see fields for your Username and Password. These details were provided to you when your site was set up. Enter them carefully:

• Username: This is typically your email address or a custom username.
• Password: The secure password created for your WordPress login.

After entering your username and password, click the Log In button to access your WordPress dashboard.

Step 3: Troubleshooting Login Issues

If you encounter any issues while trying to log in, here are some tips to help:

• Forgotten Password: If you’ve forgotten your password, click the Lost your password? Link on the login page. You’ll be prompted to enter your email address, and a reset link will be sent to your inbox.
