How to add A Record in cPanel using DNS Zone Editor?


A Record is a type of DNS record used to point a domain or subdomain to an IP address. You can add an A Record using the cPanel Zone Editor option.

  1. Log into your cPanel account (e.g., www.example.com/cpanel).
  2. In the "Domains" section, click on the "Zone Editor" icon.

  3. Under "Domains", you will see several options below the "Actions" heading.

  4. Click on "A Record". A small window will appear. Enter the required details:
    Name: Enter the subdomain or name you wish to add. For example, entering "blog" will automatically create "blog.example.com".
    Address: Enter the IP address of your server.
    Add A Record
    Click the "Add an A Record" button to save your changes.

If the record is added successfully, you will see a confirmation message. Please note that DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours.
Note: It may take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours for DNS changes to take effect worldwide.
