How to generate a cPanel backup and sent to FTP Server?


  1. Log into your cPanel account.
  2. In the "Files" section, click on the "Backup" icon.

  3. Under the "Full Backup" section, click the "Download a Full Website Backup" button.

  4. In the dropdown menu, select "Remote FTP Server" as the backup destination. Enter your email address in the Email field.
    • Remote Server: Enter the FTP IP address or domain name (e.g., ftp.example.com).
    • Remote User: Enter your FTP username.
    • Remote Password: Enter your FTP password.
    • Port: Enter the FTP port (usually 21, or as provided by your host).
    • Remote Dir: Enter the remote directory path (e.g., /home/username/backupfolder/).
  5. After filling in the Remote FTP details, click the "Generate Backup" button.
