Our Business Updated – Locking In Closed Loops & Circularity
EnabledFuture was founded on October 4, 2016, with a mission to empower organisations in the chemicals, catalysis, critical and precious metals, and advanced materials sectors to achieve optimised technology portfolios for a sustainable future. We have remained true to this vision, but in the last six months we took a 360° view of progress. We identified significant drift in the general use of our language including the terms “Enabled”, “Optimising Portfolios” and “Sustainable Future” – and our review noted almost no truly circular operations – even at large demo scale.
Having completed our review, and with a desire to lock in the meaning of our mission, we have adopted a new operating system as reflected in our updated strapline: “A Sustainable Future Without Compromise“.
Introducing Hexazity™ – For Closed Loops Without Compromises
Post supply chain appraisals review, EnabledFuture is now moving forward with renewed clarity, tools and taxonomies. Firstly, we introduced a new layer of branding “Hexazity™” (pronounced: hek-saz-i-tee) intended to distinguish our operating system, philosophy and output from the drift in the marketplace – emphasising the focus on closed-loops.
Hexazity™ has its own strapline “For Closed Loops Without Compromises“.
Hexazity™ is an encapsulation of EnabledFuture’s mission – but it is not just a motto – it comes with its own dedicated toolkit. We designed this by viewing circularity improvements through the lenses of optimising heat, materials and electrons and furthermore, how they can all be empowered to improve sustainability and lifecycle footprints. Therefore we introduced the “EnabledFuture Uplift™” suite of sustainability tools. These are “ElectronUplift™“, “MaterialUplift™,”ThermalUplift™” and “FIDUplift™“.
We are planning a dedicated technical laboratory devoted to activities for Q4 2026 and will announce its location in the summer. We are currently opening discussions around technology planning and appraisals using Hexazity™ Tech Lab services and the “EnabledFuture Uplift™” suite of approaches with our clients. We invite proposals for partnerships, test cases and applications to real-world circularity challenges.
Vision and Value Proposition – Updated for Accountability
EnabledFuture’s vision has not changed, but we intend to deliver it differently. We now look to deliver “activist consulting” and under this new remit, our services scrutinise sustainability challenges using our Hexazity™ operating philosophy. From there – we evaluate commitments to delivering sustainable technologies at scale. It is clear that progress in climate terms is not keeping pace with what was promised, and in fact most company profits in the sectors we cover are still directly linked to the growth in use of fossil fuels and downstream chemicals and products.
EnabledFuture does not support the continual addition of fossil-based industrial manufacturing capacity with nothing more than future-based promises of something greener. Our mission was to see green technologies prioritised and implemented without delays or excuses.
Based on the new Hexazity™ remit, EnabledFuture will, in addition to its normal services, also offer:
- • Investigation and evaluation of supply chains against their claimed environmental goals and targets
- • Objective reporting on the environmental impacts of manufacturing and related supply chain activities
- • Development of exit strategy roadmaps to clear the path towards more Earth-friendly supply chain practices
- • Fostering supply-chain relationships to improve coordination of activities with a view to meeting green targets
All our activities remain guided by the principles of the Circular Economy including the 10 R’s of the Waste Hierarchy. We evaluate the results of our investigations against established sustainability frameworks, including the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
We help a range of clients including participants in the chemicals, energy, metals, materials and mobility sectors looking for real sustainable growth opportunities. As ever we love to work on projects with disruptive technologies which can move in to fill the sustainability gap left by traditional supply chain participants, stakeholder organisations to inform their membership and governments looking to improve and tighten green policies.

To date we have championed innovative sustainable technologies —supporting the development and commercialisation of technologies that create high-quality jobs, stimulate GDP growth, and improve quality of life, all wh;ile minimising environmental impact. However, we are concerned that supply chain participants commercial scale activities have fallen out of step with their stated ESG goals, science-based targets and other publicly promised climate-friendly ambitions. EnabledFuture has decided it is time to take stock – and ensure that its own role is aligned with its original vision of implementation of sustainable technologies.
