The Path to Discovering KAT-TUN

💕A TRIBUTE to KAME and the J-DRAMA ACTORS WHO CHANGED MY LIFE💕

Hello, reader. Before I begin, here’s my disclaimer:

This article is entirely my opinion, and I own nothing other than that, my memory, and a handful of CDs. Whether you share my opinions or disagree, I would love to chat with you. Feel free to comment below or message me directly via LiveJournal or my Twitter account @kittyann97. Please be kind though. This is only my third article, and I’m still brand new to the politics and manners of J-Drama and Johnny’s Jimusho fandom. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you enjoy. 😊

At first, it seems strange to say these men have changed my life. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting any of them, and even if I’m lucky, it’s unlikely that I’ll ever get within five feet of them, let alone share a room. To be sure, an entire ocean and language separate us. Still, against all odds, these men have changed my life. I suppose that’s the power of celebrity: an individual I never met can become a special existence to me and evoke my affection towards them. I’m convinced that if I ever met any of these special men, my brain would overload. I’d freeze in place with my cheeks flaming and only manage to mutter a couple words and phrases of American-accented Japanese. Haha. Regardless, I’d say that Satoh Takeru, ARASHI, Nishikido Ryo, Yamashita Tomohisa, and KAT-TUN (esp. Kamenashi Kazuya) have certainly changed my life.

Late to the Bandwagon

I became a KAT-TUN fan during the hiatus period four years ago. Of course, at that time, I wasn’t aware they were on hiatus or how many changes the band had gone through since its debut, eleven years ago. At that time, the world of Johnny’s Entertainment was vague and shadowy to me. The only group I knew from JE was 嵐, and that was only because I was still starry-eyed over Ohno, Sakurai, and Ninomiya for their powerful acting abilities displayed in Maou, Kazoku Game, and Ryuusei no Kizuna respectively.
