A place where health, education, arts and land meet

Education and health that grow from the living spirit of the land

Welcome to Emerson College

Emerson College is a centre for transformative learning, creativity and health, set within 22 acres of biodynamic gardens and woodlands in the heart of the Ashdown Forest. Now part of the Ruskin Mill Land Trust, we are renewing our mission through the Genius Loci – the spirit of place – and the four guiding pillars of Health, Education, Arts and Land.

Our Four Pillars

At Emerson, the four pillars of Health, Education, Arts, and Land arise from the living spirit of the place - each one interwoven with the others. They guide how we learn, create and grow, shaping a way of life that nurtures both inner and outer transformation.
