Data@UCI stands for inclusivity. We believe that every single person has the right to participate in a safe and welcoming environment.

Golden Rule: Be respectful. Harassment and abuse are never tolerated. If you are in a situation that makes you uncomfortable, or if the event itself is creating an unsafe or inappropriate environment, please inform an organizer. Should an event organizer be creating an unsafe space, please email our club advisor Sevan Koko Gulesserian.

  1. Be respectful to other participants, mentors, board members, sponsors, and other individuals involved with the event.

  2. Please comply with organizer instructions.

  3. You must do your OWN work. Please only submit work you did during this event and not anything you have done previously.

  4. Data @ UCI reserves the right to disqualify participants for what we may deem as illicit or dishonest conduct.

    1. Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, social class, economic status, veteran status. Additional cases of harassment include but not limited to sharing sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, brigading, doxxing, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

    2. If what you’re doing is making someone feel uncomfortable, that counts as harassment and is enough reason to stop doing it.

  5. Do not use ISEB 5th and 6th floor, and do not use any room that’s not either ISEB 1010 or ISEB 1200.

  6. Feel free to utilize the UCI campus and its open study areas including the Student Center, Science Library, Langson Library, etc.

  7. Respect your work areas and make sure to clean before leaving.
