This got lost in the madness from Comic Con and it wasn't included in my pictures since it was taken by a photo booth and emailed to me. I think it's a really nice picture of me and Steve, though, so I wanted to just toss it into my journal for posterity.

Since Steve spent the day redoing our bathroom downstairs, I decided to make myself useful too. I've been wanting to paint a rock art mural across a beam that hangs down in our kitchen ever since we moved in, so today I finally started...

All that with two sponges and some q-tips (and paint of course). All free-hand. I was so scared that I would screw something up or hate the final product which would suck since we'd have to paint the whole beam, but I didn't screw up and I don't hate it. I'll paint the other side of the beam tomorrow since this side turned out great and I still have a bunch of pre-picked pictures that I haven't used up.

And a ton of forest!

Camping last weekend was also cool! There was a lake.

We ended up driving over to the Petrified Forest National Park to see the
full thing.

This is just one small glimpse into what he is like every moment he is not sleeping.

I moved my desk downstairs. Echo has migrated with me.

She loves watching sports. Maybe more than I do.

My favorite thing that "should exist" right now is interactive airplane windows that update with information about the things you're flying over. If Google can make a camera app that does that, then surely the airplane industry can roll something like that out for first class.

I mean just look at her...

It was a great time. A little late for Christmas though.
