This set is amazing! I was hesitant to purchase it but I am so glad I did! The brushes are made of goat hair and are extremely soft and well made. This set includes multiple foundation, powder, eyeshadow, and contour brushes. Great set for a wide range of brushes.

I cannot say enough good things about Real Techniques makeup brushes! They are by far the softest brand of makeup brushes I have ever used. I use this brush for blending out my bronzer for a sun kissed glow.

When I saw that Real Techniques had a version of a Beauty Blender I was extremely excited. I wet this sponge before applying my foundation and am loving the way it works so far.

I use this brush to apply eyeshadow to my crease. This brush applies eyeshadow very smoothly and doesn’t irritate my eye area.

This set is a great starter set for a person who doesn’t want to dive into buying a plethora of makeup brushes immediately. I use the brush on the far right to apply my foundation, and the brush to the left of that can be used to spot conceal, apply eyeshadow, etc. The brush to the left of that is great for applying under eye concealer and also spot concealing. Lastly, the brush to the far left is great for setting concealer underneath the eyes with powder and can also be used to contour!

Summer Makeup Must Haves!

Hey y’all! I am so sorry I have been gone for so long!

It is now summer so I am hoping to be having lots of time to blog!

Today I will be showing you my “Makeup Must Haves” at the moment!

I absolutely love makeup and all the different ways to wear it, but during the summer I like to keep my products to a minimum. I don’t like to wear much makeup during the warmer days, so I prefer to use my favorite products and stick to those.

So with that being said; here are my Summer Makeup Must Haves!

IMG_5097

First thing’s first, LIPS!

During the summer, lips always need to be protected from the sun and need to have added moisture from the harsh heat! This Nivea Lip Butter is my all time favorite lip moisturizer and what’s even better is….the price! I would highly recommend this product, and with there being many different flavors, there is one for everyone.

Next up: Primer!

Especially during the summer, my face gets super shiny and oily! Using a face primer really helps me! I typically reach for my Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I really like this primer and I’ve also heard that it is comparable to Benefit’s Porefessional Primer! This product is from the drugstore which again means….an awesome price!

B.B. Cream time!

During the warmer days, I prefer to wear a light B.B. Cream during the day over a thick foundation. This B.B. Cream by Boscia has been my favorite for over a year now! It is super lightweight and when I wear it I hardly notice I’m wearing makeup at all! It gives very good coverage while not being cakey and thick. My only complaint about this product would be the self-adjusting shade. Although it does adjust pretty well in the summer to my skin tone, if I want to wear it in the winter I find myself having to use a lighter shade powder to match my skin!

Overall I absolutely love this product and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lighter alternative to foundation.

Concealer faves!

These two concealers are a dynamic duo. I use the Age Rewind concealer underneath my eyes to brighten up those dark circles from endless summer nights and I use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer to cover up any blemishes I have at the moment!

Oily skin? Not with this!

This is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder! I have been using this for quite some time and I couldn’t rave more about it! This powder keeps my skin matte all day long yet doesn’t give me that typical powdery cascade over my face!

This product is awesome! And once again, the price is unbelievable!! Dang, the drugstore really’s got it going on these days.

Now for bronzer!

Now I bet you’ve heard this bronzer being talked about for ages now, but I thought I would just let y’all know how awesome it is if you don’t know already.

This bronzer rocks. This Hoola bronzer by Benefit Cosmetics is by far my favorite bronzer I have ever come across. Although I don’t wear bronzer on a daily basis, when I do, I always reach for this one. It gives a natural bronzy finish while not looking muddy or dirty.

As for highlighter goes…..

This is the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighter. Not only is the packaging immaculate, but the product itself is too! I love this highlighter and it gives the most glowy, beautiful finish.

My favorite two eye shadow palettes for summer!

Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Palette and Too Faced’s Natural Eyes Palette!

During the day, if I am going to be wearing eye shadow, I reach for the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. It has really pretty pink toned shadows that are great for day time. At night, I typically reach for the Naked 2 Palette for a darker look!

Fave Summer Mascaras!

Now my go to mascara for every day is the Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara. It lengthens my lashes while still looking natural!

I also really love the Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara!

As for waterproof mascara, I absolutely love the Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara. I got this so long ago and use it whenever I need my mascara to stay extra long. This has a custom brush which you can twist to expose more bristles!

Hope you all have enjoyed my Summer Makeup Must Haves!

I woke up this morning and the grounds were white and gorgeous! Although, most of the snow is actually just ice:(

2014 Makeup Favorites

Being the New Year, it calls me to think back on 2014 and what my favorite things were! For me, 2014 was the year of trying new things. I tried anything from new clothes, new makeup, new face products, new food, etc. For this post, I decided to focus on what makeup products I loved from this past year, both old and new! I hope this helps you explore new products in 2015.

This Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil-Free Foundation blew all of my other drugstore foundations out of the water. This product is perfect for oily skin, and skin prone to breakouts. The cool thing about this foundation is that even if you have a breakout you are trying to clear up, you can still wear makeup to cover it up, while the product works to heal it with the salicylic acid! I absolutely love this foundation and was my favorite foundation of 2014.

These brushes are absolutely incredible. I cannot say enough good things about them. These brushes are from the brand Real Techniques and can be purchased on their website, Kohls, Target, and possibly other stores. These brushes have synthetic bristles and are the softest brushes I have ever used. My specific two favorite brushes I used in 2014 from Real techniques was the Setting Brush (with the pink handle) and the Expert Face Brush (pictured with the orange handle). I use the setting brush to apply concealer and I use the expert face brush to apply foundation. My absolute favorite thing about these brushes is the price! These brushes have an incredibly good price for the quality and I would highly recommend them.

First off, excuse the label missing and the state of this concealer, as you can see it has been constantly used. This is one of my favorite concealers I have ever come across. This is the Maybelline Fit me concealer and I have used this concealer for a while now. I have repurchased it time and time again and have yet to find a concealer I like better. Also, word on the block is that this concealer is a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer!

IMG_4792

There are so many good things I could say about this under eye brightening concealer. It is called the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. I use this concealer under my eyes to combat those dark under eye circles when I didn’t sleep too much the night before. This concealer is absolutely incredible, and for the price and quality, I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

IMG_4790

This is the Benefit the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine powder and is my newest and favorite powder of 2014! In the beginning of 2014, I tried not to wear a lot of powder just to overall wear less makeup but having oily skin, I tried out this product in the Fall and fell in love. This is the first powder I have used that has kept my skin oil free all day, and you don’t have to use a lot to get amazing results!

IMG_4825

This is my favorite stick highlighter I have ever used. This is the Benefit Watts Up Highlighter and is the highlighter I have turned to the whole year of 2014. This is perfect to reach for when you are looking for that summer glow, or during the colder months when you want to add some life to your face.

 IMG_4746 IMG_4759 IMG_4772

This is the Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette and it was a new release in 2014. Every time I have worn eyeshadow, especially on Christmas Eve, I have reached for this palette. It has such a great variety of neutral colors and the pigments are so fabulous especially being a drugstore makeup palette.

IMG_4811 IMG_4813

This Too Faced Natural Eye Eyeshadow Palette is one of my favorite pinky toned sparkly palettes. Although it is not a drugstore product, this product is totally worth the price.

IMG_4862IMG_4864

This is the Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Stormy Grey and this has been my favorite eyeliner for over two years. I use this to line my waterline and my upper lash line. This color is perfect for me and for someone who doesn’t always want to use a dark black and wants to go for a less harsh look with a grey. I love the way this eyeliner looks and will definitely continue to use it. IMG_4799 IMG_4807

I absolutely love this mascara! This is the Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara. I use this mascara almost every day and love the look it gives. This mascara makes my eyelashes look long and is not too watery or too dry. This is the perfect mascara and was my favorite mascara of 2014.

 IMG_4798

This Anastasia Brow Pencil is absolutely incredible. I used this all year and used it all the way up!

IMG_4774

Last but certainly not least, I have my favorite lip combo of 2014. Although I don’t wear color on my lips daily, I love to wear a fun lip combo when I go out. My favorite two lip products of 2014 were the Elf Matte Lip Pencil and the NYX butter gloss.

Sunny Winter Days

On this sunny winter day, the weather was absolutely beautiful. I decided I was going to wear a sweater with cut out shoulders to stay warm but fit the weather. I wore a thick pair of black leggings and my favorite pair of cognac booties. I also wore a monogrammed cashmere feel plaid scarf, along with a gold monogrammed necklace. I pulled out my favorite sunglasses and was ready to take on the day!
