I'm sorry to have to do this but I am moving to Friends Only due to the recent changes implemented by LJ involving Facebook and Twitter. I will certainly never repost any of your comments to these insipid social media sites and I hope you will also respect my wishes and not repost any of my entries or posts anywhere else.

Also, I have not been into the Orlando fandom for several years so don't expect anything in this journal about him. It's not that I dislike him, I wish him well. But I'm just not into him anymore although I will always remain a fan of JRR Tolkien's work and Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy.

Anyway, I'm all about manga and anime now (and of course yaoi!). ^_^ If you still want to friend me (although I'm not sure you'll find me at all interesting!), comment. If we have similar interests, your journal isn't relatively new with no entries and you support equality, I'll most likely friend you back. :)

Do you ever have those days where you just don't feel like doing ANYTHING? I look at my kitchen and UGH! Then there are all those piles of unopened junk mail. Not to mention bills that I have to shred (I pay everything online). And the recycling! It needs to go out. Compost too! It's like I'm being buried by the minutiae of life.

On the bright side, I got a shiny new iPhone4 last week and I'm finally hooking up with serein_03 for dinner tonight!

My daughter showed me this video. The artist that made it, Pogo, wrote "Video for my track 'Upular', composed using chords, bass notes and vocal samples from the Disney Pixar film 'Up'." Pixar even put it up on their youtube page. This is just amazing.

The first time I saw this commercial for Old Spice on TV I couldn't stop laughing.

My old desktop which I built myself over 4 years ago wouldn't connect to the internet on Thursday. At first I thought it was the router, so I just connected directly with the modem...nothing. Then I tried it with my laptop and it worked. Hmmm. It was like my desktop wouldn't let the modem acquire an IP address no matter what I tried.

So naturally I ran out and bought another desktop. :P Got it on sale and bundled with a huge 23" wide screen monitor. I'm not used to such a large screen and such a quiet desktop but I can deal (what a chore!) ;). My old machine sounded like a jet engine taking off.

Now I've got to install all my software and move my files and stuff. Amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in 4 years. o_O
