What's changed? I'm not even sure if anyone is still here but I felt like I needed to update on things (and LJ sent me a lovely 15-year anniversary gift today). 

• I left Steph permanently in 2010. We never became friends. In fact, she told me specifically, that she wanted to never speak to me again. Vertina and I never worked out. I never went to Houston. Before we could make any futher decisions, she posted that she was "in a relationship" with someone else on Facebook. I learned an important lesson that day — that no one could be trusted and literally anyone could be lying to your face for no good reason. 


• I moved in with my mom and brother. My brother moved out and traveled for his airplane mechanic job to Lafayette, LA, and then to Mobile, AL. I lived with my mother until she passed from lung cancer in 2017. It was unexpected and fast. She was diagnosed in October 2016 and left us in June. 


• I moved into a rental home of my own for about four years. I worked for a non-profit that specialized in early childhood education. I was promoted to the assistant coordinator for the last three years I worked there. 


• I accepted a better paying, less stressful position in Mobile, AL doing computer work — data wrangling, really — working alongside the very best friend I met here at Starbucks. We see each other every day and have lunch together every day. 


• My brother still lives here in Mobile as well. He lives around the corner from me — about 6 minutes to be exact. He's engaged to be married this November and I'm officiating their wedding!
