LEARNING FROM LIGHT LIMITS

Grab your September sun!
While it’s still high in the sky,
and the time’s still ripe to get some.

For soon,
the time will belong
a little more to the moon.
And more than that–
for several moons,
before the sun turns back around
to make its yearly rebound. . .

And these cycling limits
of the lights
and of the darkness
all have gratitude
and many other secrets
yet to teach us,
if only we slow down enough
to let them reach us.
