Reproach
the first word
upon which
my chance eyes laid
when opening to
some random
dictionary page. . .
sometimes it can be sanctimonious
and at others, filled with rage. . .
sometimes perhaps it’s necessary,
ceremonious,
when kids or other people do
stuff no one would want them to. . .
But,
I think
that to proceed with care
in principle
is a good rule
that should always
figure in there,
when choosing to reproach–
for in the mis- or over-
doing,
so much can hurt
the reproachee’s basic feelings,
that it adds to greater cost than benefit,
and I would hope for better care
and wit
than that,
in anyone who’d play
for others or for me
the role of coach.
