KEEP AN OPEN EYE

Often, folks
who know you best
to help you
are the ablest,
for they may see
the way most deft
to put you to the test,
the way that makes you work
toward a a brand new
feeling of success,
as the process helps
upgoal you.

But, then,
there may be other times,
folks new to you
may better
help you
how you need–
for they’ve no preconceptions
from what you’ve been or done
of old. . .
So, they can turn
their heart and verve
to you,
and, patient,
listen and observe,
which keeps them free
to guide you clear
toward brand-new possibility,
as long as they
don’t pigeonhole you. . .

So,
bear in mind
you may not always know
who will be best
to help you
on your way
to where you want to go. . .

But,
keep an open eye. . .
and the helper
may appear,
who helps you
bear you
to the sky,
where brand-new vistas,
high and wide,
will open to
the soul you.
