IMPORTANT NOTICE (09.20.2014): I’m trying to wrap up all my outstanding fic within the next year, so if there’s a fic I’ve started that you just have to see finished, give me a kick in the rear via review, comment, or PM and I’ll add it to the queue. Anything that doesn’t get finished before September 2015 probably won’t be. (ETA 01.06.2015) Any story not included on the list below isn’t in contention, but others may be added upon request. (ETA: 4.16.2015) Kingsman has eaten my life and it's apparently the only fanfiction I write anymore. Most other fic probably won’t be finished.

Summary:  He never imagined that she’d mean so much.  Before he was in love, he just loved her. (An alternate origin story for River Song and a non-canon love story for River and Ten.)
Author’s Notes: I’ve recently found myself curious as to the kind of relationship the Doctor’s tenth regeneration and River could have had given enough time. This was started way back before A Good Man Goes to War, so it’s been totally Jossed, but I thought I’d share anyway.

Pairing:  (unrequited) Sherlock/Molly, Sherlock/John, Molly & Lestrade
Summary:  In the 1950s, Sherlock has been blessed with a life of relative ease, a marriage to a woman who is besotted without interfering and the freedom to do the work he enjoys.  Then, there is the doctor, John Watson, who treats Molly’s nerves with a kindness Sherlock cannot replicate, who makes her smile, small and shy as a tormented cat in response to love.  It does not kill him that he is losing her; it kills him that he is very slowly losing himself to the same man.
Author’s Notes: You’ve got BBC’s The Hour to thank for this, particularly Andrew Scott’s character.  He inspired the whole thing.  Also, please keep in mind that this relates to Molly’s character as characterized in seasons one and two and not in three. I started this a long time ago.  Molly will grow.  This may not be her story, but I do love her and want good things for her.

Author’s Note: Answer the “First line” challenge offered by elisbelle at the_second_time. I chose prompt #1 on the original post.   ETA: I wrote this about five years ago and never got to post it because my old computer crashed. Now that I've got it back, I thought I'd share.  It was originally going to be a smidge longer, but I decided to leave it here. Let me know what you think!
AN II: Constructive criticism always accepted, especially with regard to characterization. I’ve watched quite a bit of these two, but grown-up Maria particularly eludes me, so I’ve had to improvise. Also, I’m not fluent in Brit-speak, so I have done the best I can. However, if I’ve made any massive errors, I’m totally up for tweaking.

About ten hours ago, I crossed the finish line and completed my novel for National Novel Writing Month. I actually did it! I’ve been participating since 2005 and this is the first time I’ve seen it through. Can you believe it? I can’t!  Imagine I sound like a very ecstatic Benedict Cumberbatch right now, all high-pitched and startled. Yes, just like that.  The last three days have been a 20k binge write-a-thon. I gave up and then I tried again and here we are.

All that said, I have not slept in a very long time and I could not be hungrier, but I have done thing. Thing is done.

Well, I say thing is done when what I really mean is it’s longer than 50,000 words or will be. Thing is in desperate need of revisions. Nevertheless, it’ll do for November. Now for finals. Ta!

Expect me to finally post some more fanfiction in December. I cannot wait. It's been over a year!

Author’s Notes:  Started as an attempt to play with some curious notions about River’s identity before they got Moffed in canon, but I didn’t get done in time.  Thanks for reading anyway!

ANII: This won’t be important until the final chapter, but my presumption was that River and the Doctor’s relationship was only generally back to front with occasional out-of-order encounters between them.
